Interesting. I will say thanks but no thanks to the Keto Kraze.
I tried Atkins years ago. Lost weight rapidly, gained it back even more quickly. After my sister had some success on it I gave it another go a few years ago and actually gained weight. I did have fun with the cream in my coffee, lotsa bacon and eggs and cheese. Fun for a while, until I started feeling nauseated by the thought of another fatty meaty meal.
No doubt it works for some but as one who might have maybe a few good decades left on this earth I think I will go with the "everything in moderation, including moderation" advice of Julia Child. She made it to 91 and it was a damn good 91.
Done with the fads, the diet-du-jour. I know HOW to lose weight, I know what works for me. After years of chasing the latest and the greatest, I'm settling into the regimen that has worked for me in the past. Slow and steady with occasional slips backwards. Not beating myself up anymore and I've abandoned the search for the weight loss Holy Grail.
To each his or her own and if this works for you, by all means go for it.

For me it works just fine because I was trying to lower my sugar intake anyway, plus I had long since stopped eating rice and pasta. The bread part was hard.
I still enjoy the occasional indulgence and when offered a glorious dessert at a party I won't say no but this time I won't down more than I need. I'll enjoy my few bites of whatever rich dessert I'm offered and be satisfied. I can still have dry champagne in this and I can have cheese and nuts and so on. So I'm feeling pretty pleased on this journey so far. My jeans that fit me just right years ago that I couldn't get up past my big bottom in recent months are being worn comfortably today and fit perfectly again.

I'm getting all kinds of NSVs out of this! That in conjunction with the gym have given me too many to name! But I will say my favorite one may be that it's bathing suit weather and I'm able to wear the Farrah Fawcett style one piece bathing suit like the one she wore in one of her more famous poses! I've been wanting that style of suit for years now and never felt comfortable wearing it until this summer.

It is interesting. However I can't do practically no carb.I do lower carb but still not low carb. When I did Atkins I wasn't getting enough fiber my NP said and even at 40 net carbs it was too low for me according to her. When tracking on MFP I usually stay between 28-32% of my calories in carbs. That is low enough carb for me. finreporter You are doing great on keto.Great NSV's.

So happy that this works for you!
I can't/won't do high protein/low carb, I really don't feel good when I eat that way, it messes with my digestive system.
But then too, I'm not going to live my life with no bread, pasta or potatoes, it's not necessary.

fullmahina, keep reminds me of Atkins also. I realize any diet that does not allow chocolate is not for me.

I'm not going to live my life with no bread, pasta or potatoes I lost all my weight eating those things and still do. I just do it with sensible portions. That is where My fitness Pal came to the rescue. It taught me proper portion size and how to manage my meals to hit my daily intake of around 1200 calories.

I figure I'll just have that stuff if and only if it's prepared in some to die for manner. One thing this plan has helped me realize it's to stop settling for mediocrity in my food. If I'm going to have some dessert it's going to be an amazing and rich one. If I'm going to have bread or potatoes or pasta it's going to be amazing. So I still fit it in, just way less of it.
