Judy I am so counting on the humidity break! I've had it with the HHH lol. Your hair treatment sounds awesome! Never heard of that. Enjoy and I know you will I'm also a fan of Willie Nelson. Love that expression and thanks for sharing. My niece's wedding was black tie held at Mechanic's Hall...and yes, Carl also grumbled big time LOL. Actually it was more like a ROAR I best get a move on....... Will try to pop in later.

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
We have a strange day weather-wise, as a cold front "moved in" and moved out our high humidity. Right now it is 80 dg and only 42% humidity (yay!!) with a breeze and on again/off again sunshine. I was out running errands and it is downright comfortable out there!
I have accomplished so much already today. I went to Hobby Lobby and purchased a gift item as well as three greeting cards; then to Walmart where I did not find what I was looking for. I have used Wet 'N Wild nail polish for years after discovering it is the only one that stays on my fingernail tips well. Today I am having a difficult time finding it. I fear it has been phased out. I have a box with a variety of colors. I found a couple of bottles at Meijer that I didn't already have, but not a huge selection. I still need to check at Walgreen's as they used to carry it also.
I still need to clean off my toenails and clip them and then repaint them. I need to leave in a couple of hours for my nails appointment - in fact earlier as I want to stop at the Jewelry Store and have a watch battery replaced in DH's dress watch.
Sorry but still need to vent about the concrete crew. When I left this morning they must have been on lunch because no one was working - and when I returned they must be on break as no one is working. Amazing!! I did *hear* them this morning - must have been when the boss was here getting the day started. Since then ...... quiet - and bodies sitting under trees.
Off to paint toenails. BBL. Make a great rest of the day!!

Good morning all. Sue we also had a bit of cool weather later in the day which was greatly appreciated. We got to sit in the screen room which I love doing. GRRRR to the 'concrete crew'. I really hope they come and actually WORK without being supervised by the boss.
Today we are hosing a late lunch for Donna Sheila and George. Serving pulled pork with baked beans and coleslaw. Should be fun day.
Wishing AWF a wonderful OP Friday.

Good morning!
I was so tired last night, I decided not to go to 7:00AM Mass and set my alarm for 7:00. I woke up before the alarm with just enough time to get ready and go. So I told God, "Okay, I hear you!" and got myself up and gone. Now, I am back, enjoying that first cup of coffee and contemplating what the day will bring.
DD1 will be dropping Abby off here around 10:30 on her way to visit a patient further north. Abby has her kindergarten assessment this morning. Her DMIL took Anna to her 7:30 dermatology appt. in BTR. She is an early riser, so I'm sure didn't mind. At some point, I will take Abby home so she can spend some quality time with her other grandmother.
Yesterday afternoon, we took Abby to see The Secret Life of Pets 2, which was very good. DH and I were laughing out loud. They do such a good job with some of these cartoons, with jokes both on the child's and adult's level. On the way home, we stopped for a snow ball (very fine shaved ice in a cup) at a new, very popular place. With about 100 choices, Abby was having a hard time making a decision until the lady asked if she would like a "Mermaid". It had 3 different flavors/colors, a mermaid's tail (a long gummy candy strand with Nerds pressed into it)and whipped cream with sprinkles on top. Abby was in 7th heaven, lol. DH and I shared a boring sugar-free strawberry one.
I am unhappy to report a 1.9 lbs. gain at WI today. I know I did well with my eating this week, but missed all my yoga classes. Oh well, I will just KOKO because we all know where the alternative leads. I had hoped to be down at least a couple of pounds before vacation, but that is looking doubtful since we leave on Thursday.
There's a nice breeze blowing this morning and it's not quite as hot. I may take advantage and get some weeding done.
Have a great day!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~ TGIF!! I had to stop and think for a minute about what day it is. <LOL> We had a big drop in humidity along with a cool-down late yesterday. By the time I got home from my nails, DH was not home yet (and he was bringing supper) so I had some quiet time to myself. He came home with Jet's pizza and I had poured two Diet Cokes (a treat for us) and we took it all out on the porch. The sun was already down behind the trees so it was cooler and there was a great breeze. Better yet, several of our neighbors were outdoors so we got to wave and greet "across the way". We also had a great chat and just sat and relaxed together for a while. Of course that made for a short evening as we didn't come in from outside until almost 9 o'clock so watched one episode of Dateline (that we hadn't seen) and then called it a night. We were able to open all the windows and slept very well. I was up 'n at 'em by 7 this morning, but have managed to fritter away half of this morning already. I received a new Sirius XM offer via mail which confused me because I had subscribed a couple of weeks ago. So I called, and found my extension was indeed processed; but better yet I got some more great streaming information from the agent. Seems there are Xtra Channels not available on car radio, but on my computer, phone and Alexa. I found the site and loaded it onto my computer (so I have Love Songs playing while I type) and also added the app on my phone. All that's left now is my tablet which I will do this morning, as I can take it outside when we eat on the porch. One thing I am loving about technology is that once I set up my account on my computer, all I had to do was log in on my phone and tablet and my favorites, etc., popped right up. Pam ~ I also love the "kids movies" and enjoy the two-level humor. My friend who does my nails told me she and her DH went to see "Lion King" this week. That is on my list as well. Your shaved ice treat sounds like what our kids at school get once a week when the "Kona Ice" truck comes. It looks awful, but they love it!! Sorry about your WG at WW - and I fear the same will happen to me my next time (which is coming up faster than I am losing the vacation weight). Ann ~ Yay for the cool-down!! I am so enjoying having the windows open! Your lunch sounds great - some of my favorite things!! Judy ~ Thinking of you as you prepare for your trip. Remember: They sell it there. I did my toenails in a new color yesterday which my DH dubbed Robin's Eggs Blue. Then my nail gal did my fingers with that color, then a diagonal of a Honolulu blue with a few white dots for emphasis. It really made me smile! Today I am off to get my hair cut and perhaps run some errands on the way there or back. We have a dinner date with 2 other couples tonight so I won't have to think about supper. I may read some this afternoon. I am really feeling relaxed with the music playing on my computer this morning. What a great idea!! BBL. Make a great day!!!

We had a wonderful time with our friends. After we ate, Donna and I went for a walk to help digest. I shall be hitting the reset button once again tomorrow!
Time to relax a bit before we walk LuLa.
Wishing all sweet dreams!

Happy Saturday. I slept well and grateful for that. It was heavenly sitting in the screen room last evening with Carl just kicking back and talking about the wonderful day we shared with our friends. Our temperature dropped to a61 which was so welcomed after this heat and humidity. Today will be spent low key....I shall get my act together in the food/journal/tracking/hydrating/moving department and take it from there. Will pop in later

Hi all!
I managed to get out and walk for 30 minutes this morning after being a perfect slug yesterday. Other than cleaning up all the toys Abby left in various rooms and putting things to right and cooking dinner & cleaning the kitchen, I did nothing other than read and play video games. It was nice not to be at anyone's beck and call for a while. Today, I will start getting into vacation mode, making lists, cleaning up and doing various chores that need to be done before we leave on Thurs. My meals are planned and tracked.
Have a great day!

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
Happy Saturday!! We have an absolutely beautiful day today!! I was picked up early this morning then we picked up one more gal and headed to Milford Memories. We thought it opened at 9 a.m. and wanted to be there early, only to discover the starting time was 10 - but since most of the vendors were still set up from yesterday they were starting to open up the tents at 9, so it was all good. It was nice and cool with a breeze and it wasn't yet crowded, so it was a pleasure to shop. Since we had all skimped on breakfast due to the early start, we opted for an early lunch (before the restaurants got busy). We were so right as our chosen place was quiet and peaceful until we were almost finished when it filled up and got noisy! We finished trekking through town and then started back. We walked miles and once the sun was directly overhead and the street was crowded we decided it was time for us to think about heading out. We stopped for a dessert on the way home and still made it back home by mid-afternoon.
I found a few treasures today ..... two bracelets for me and a new red headband with a flowery bow on it; as well as a red necklace/wrap bracelet for a birthday gift. I brought DH a bag of fresh roasted almonds which he already got into. The rest are now in a glass jar in the fridge (as we learned how to store them). I have been online shopping as Victoria Secret has a bra sale on and I still had one gift card from Christmas, so I ordered myself a new bra and spent my gift card (from DH).
We are going to watch the news in a few minutes, then make Strawberry waffles and turkey sausage for supper and eat outdoors. It is a beautiful night and I hate the thought of wasting it.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Just got back a little while ago from walking Miss LuLa. We were about 2 houses away talking to neighbor when we saw a black bear cross the road! LuLa looked at the bear and walked away as if to say "I'm not afraid of no bear" LOL......This is the 3rd time in the 12 years we've been here that we have seen one.
It was such a great weather day here. I took full advantage with walks and sitting in the screen room. I read for a bit, played games on my phone and took a little nap.
Sue your supper sounds great. Enjoy.
Pam enjoy packing and making those lists. I'd be so lost without them! Enjoy your get away!
Time for me to get jammified.

Good morning and happy Sunday. Gee, I wonder if I'll get to see MR. Bear again today??? Time will tell. We have errands to run and I have a few odds and ends to do around here. I imagine Carl will do more yard work. Bless his heart. He so loves to be 'out there' working. I would rather do my cleaning indoors. Last night it dropped to 58 so much too cool to sit in the screen room, so we just stayed indoors. You can really feel the temperature change. To me it feels good Wishing all a wonderful peaceful and OP Sunday. Will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday!! We also got quite cool overnight (and it felt great!). We ate supper on the porch and then sat there just relaxing and chatting with each other and we both agreed it was perfect!
I slept well and didn't get up until almost 7:30. My internal clock seems to have reset to a later wake up time which may or may not work for me when school starts, but that is weeks away yet. Head Start doesn't go back until the Monday after Labor Day.
I am determined to go see "Lion King" and "Racing In The Rain" but DH has no interest. I put out some feelers, but will probably see "Lion King" alone this week - and then may go to see the other one with a GF next Monday morning on our way to meet another GF for lunch. Sounds like a plan.
DH's VBF texted that he probably won't be at lunch today, so it will just be the two of us and then a quiet afternoon. I haven't yet gotten into my newest book, so maybe today will be the day??
BBL. Make a great day!

Happy Sunday!
I am certainly jealous of Ann's cooler temps! Our overnight temp was 76 and now it is 88 with 76% humidity and a "feels like" of 102. I am happy to be heading to Colorado and lower humidity & temps later this week. We went to Mass and coffee call afterwards and I deemed it too hot for a walk by the time we came home. I have not felt good since I woke this morning, but some liquids and a short nap seems to have helped. I think I am a little dehydrated from yesterday's outdoor efforts.
Last evening, we went to town for the last of our Art Council's shows. Joni Lambert, a Barbra Streisand tribute artist was featured. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance, especially all the songs she did from "Funny Girl" one of my all-time favorite musicals. DH really didn't care for it, as he leans more toward classic rock, but indulged me anyway. We were home before 10:00pm, so he didn't have to endure for long, lol.
Last night, DH cooked a shrimp and pasta dish that was divine! It had tomatoes, garlic, spinach and shrimp and he served it over bow-tie pasta. He was even kind enough to greatly reduce the amount of butter by half. The recipe was definitely a keeper. Tonight will be chicken fajitas.
Sue - I had to smile at your "robin's egg blue" polish. I tend toward boring pinks and reds, but may have to get adventurous and branch out a little.
Ann - I don't know what I would do if I confronted a bear on my walk. Probably run the other direction, lol. Sometimes I walk in a canefield because there is a line of trees that shades the road and it is cooler there. I have thought of the possibility of meeting up with a coyote or a bobcat and now I will wonder about encountering a brown bear.
Enjoy a restful day!
