Pam ~ Safe travels to you!! Thanks for the words of encouragement about the newspaper. We don't mind paying for our subscription but would like to also get the online edition that we received for the past few years. DH is so much happier now. Enjoy your vacation!!
Ann ~ Glad you are catching up on your rest. I did as well yesterday and I feel the better for it. I finished my book and chose a new one to start today. Looking out my window, it will be a good day for a good book.
Judy ~ I am sure you are busy making wonderful memories. Look forward to hearing from you.

We made it safely to Amarillo TX in 12 hours, checked in then walked to a steakhouse nearby for dinner. Now I am bathed and in bed. DH is already asleep, but he drove 9 of the 12 hours so was really tired. We really enjoyed listening to A Man Called Ove during the drive. Time to get some beauty rest. My eyes look like road maps—- full of red lines!

Good morning all. Pam so happy that you made it safely and had a good meal at a steakhouse for dinner. LOL to your eyes looking like road maps. I can relate. I didn't sleep that well last night. The pain is back and kept me awake. I have my haircut/color today and hopefully I won't fall asleep. Not sure if I mentioned that I no longer go to Enzo. It just got too hard and made it too long of a day to travel to and from.......I called him and explained and he fully understands. No hard feelings whatsoever. The place I am going to is just down the street and was highly recommended by several of the people that I know here in town. We shall see. Also have LuLa's wellness exam later in the day. Once we are back from that I can hopefully relax again.
Sue hope you got some good quality reading time in Wishing all a wonderful OP Friday.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! I am up and at 'em early today. DH woke up a little after six, then I rolled over and dozed for another half hour. Getting up earlier helps me get more done during the day. I have already had breakfast (FF Greek yogurt w/blackberries and Fiber One) and coffee and put on my grubbies. I have started with the bathroom which is now cleaned and the floor is drying. I have all my supplies out to do all the floors today. This is a chore I have been successfully putting off all week.
Pam ~ 12 hours of driving - yikes!! You are really a road warrior! We used to love long trips, but now not so much. It is great that you found a nearby steakhouse and enjoyed a good meal, as for me that makes all the difference. How much driving do you have tomorrow?? When do you reach your destination?
Ann ~ I am so sorry that your pain is back. I do hope it goes away somewhere!! I did manage to spend a couple of hours in my recliner with my Kindle app yesterday. I had several new unread books, so I picked one and was very happy with my choice. In fact, I had to MAKE myself put it down when DH came home to chat with him and finish up supper and eat outdoors.
Today our heat is due to start returning after a few mild days. I have all the windows open now but may have to close up later. I have really enjoyed sleeping with the windows open. This weekend promises to be blazing hot, but then it is August.
Our supper last night was delightful with grilled salmon and bulgur/mango/avocado salad and a side of white beans/grape tomatoes/onions with FF Zesty Italian. I had not had my protein shake during the day (forgot I guess) so I had a banana with some LF NSA chocolate ice cream for my snack. It really hit the spot!! We had bananas that were over-ripening and I just hate to waste fruit. DH ate another one for his breakfast today.
Back to my cleaning duties. I'm glad I finally got the impulse to do this and will be happier when it's done.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Just came home from the hair stylist and I feel so blessed! CJ did an amazing job on both cut and color. I was very afraid, as I've been going to Enzo for so long.....I'm happy and she made me feel so comfortable. I booked another appointment in 6 weeks and looking forward to seeing her again. It's all good

Hi Again ~ I am finally done!! I have cleaned the bathroom from top to bottom and taken all the throw rugs outdoors and vacuumed the entire house and cleaned the kitchen including mopping the floor.
While I was at it I have cleaned out my vacuum and rinsed out the filters to dry; and pruned my daisy bed in the front and my petunia pots on the patio; I have repaired a patch on a pair of work jeans for DH; set out a jug of sun tea with fresh spearmint; warmed up and ate some limas for lunch while watching the noon news; and just got a shower and clean clothes on. I think I am going to treat myself to some reading time now.
I have two rib eye steaks thawing to grill later with fresh corn-on-the-cob; and perhaps a tossed salad.
BBL. Make a great afternoon/evening!

Hi friends,
It is a bit cooler here after two days of 100 degrees plus which is rare here in the Bay Area. My dgd had a great first day of school and came home wearing a hat that said I Rocked My First Day of Kindergarten. Our little dgs had fun too at his Cuperdoodle preschool. We had Spanish tapas last night out in Palo Alto since it was too hot to cook but today we have a couple ribeyes to grill-like you Sue! DD and I went to Costco to get a new tv and we managed to set it up on our own- shocking! 🤣
Happy everyone is doing well. Ann, good news on finding a new hairstyles and new PCP close to home. Pam, glad you are having a safe road trip to the reunion.
My DDs daycare is so busy but she has two full time fantastic workers who do most of the hands on work so DD mainly does the business end of it and dealing with parents and shopping for supplies etc. The little group of 10 kids is like the United Nations from Belarus, Chile, Korea, Italy, and other parts of the U. S. like Mississippi and Ohio. It’s so diverse but that’s representative of the tech area here in Silicon Valley.
Dd and I did go to her beautiful gym today and I did 45 minutes on the treadmill while she did a spin class. We had a Thai lunch and are home waiting for DGDs pickup from kindergarten. Luckily, her school is a short walk down the street!
Hopefully I will have more time for personal notes soon. Oh, we did see Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Good!!!

Judy good to see you Happy that it cooled off for you and great time on the treadmill!!!! You rock. Just got back from LuLa's wellness exam. The new vet wouldn't not give out the heartguard without seeing her first. I totally understand. Carl is out picking up a cheat chicken as this chick is NOT up to cooking LOL. Talk tomorrow.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Weekend!! Our heat will return today and linger for the next 3-4 days along with the humidity, which is the worst culprit IMHO.
I have just returned from a breakfast birthday party for one of my Red Hat GFs where 4 of us feasted and watched the birthday girl open her gifts. I stayed within the SP I wanted to use. We are meeting friends for an early supper at Ruby Tuesday where I can stuff myself with the salad bar. Then we are attending a Retrouvaille Core meeting in St. Clair Shores. It will be over in time for us to get home about dusk and still have some relaxing time before bed.
Last night we made a tossed salad with Ken's Light Sweet Vidalia Onion dressing and mixed in some leftover white bean & grape tomato salad which had marinated overnight in FF Zesty Italian. It made a delightful side dish, along with the fresh corn. I grilled those 2 rib eye steaks which came out perfectly and we enjoyed every bite. We took our plates outdoors and ate in a beautiful evening. After dinner we drove out to DH's VBF's house to visit with him and to play with the dogs & puppies. There were still 4 puppies though one is sold but not being picked up until tomorrow; along with the 4 big dogs (one is visiting). What a delightful chaos!! A wonderful time was had by all. He had tried to convince us to come for dinner there or go out; but his DD wasn't getting off work until 8 and I didn't want to eat that late (or be up that late). Besides we had our steaks all seasoned and grill-ready. This worked out best for all of us.
Judy ~ Good to hear from you. Sounds like your DD has the best of both worlds with her Day Care, where she doesn't have to do so much hands-on work. I am sure all that is so helpful for the parents.
Ann ~ Glad you slept well. Nothing better, in my book. I have been sleeping extremely well recently which is a bonus for a gal who suffered with sleep disorder earlier in life. Enjoy your manicure!!
Pam ~ Miss you, but know you are having a blast!!
I am going to finish my book this afternoon. According to Kindle I have about an hour and a half left, so I'll get it done and look for a new one to load next.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Manicure is done. I chose rainbow which is lots of sparkle lol. A fun color. Still in Leominster. Hit the consignment shop but didn't find a thing. Working our way to Subway for lunch. Then we'll make our way home. It's extremely warm. Thought we were in for rain. Perhaps tonight. Yes very happy with the changes we've made. Enjoy friends

Hello Friends! We’re having a great time at the reunion. Friday evening there was a meet and greet with cocktails and snacks. None of the snacks appealed to me, so I skipped them and enjoyed a glass of the merlot that is bottled here at the Abbey. Later in the evening there was a reception at a restored 3 story mansion owned by an alumnus. There was cheese, fruit and chicken rollups which became my dinner. We had a wonderful time chatting and exploring the mansion.
This morning, lots of people who are staying at our hotel gathered for breakfast then went to the Abbey for their traditional class picture in front of a particular building. Afterwards, a group of us walked the grounds and roamed around in their old dormitory, then gathered for grilled hamburgers and alligator sausage (donated by us) cooked by couples who stayed on the abbey grounds in their campers. DH and I came back to the room and napped. At 3:00, we went to a wine tasting and then returned to the hotel and had drinks with some of the guys until time to go back to the Abbey for dinner and a DJ. There was way more talking and visiting than dancing, surely a sign that we are getting old, lol. Now we are safely tucked in for the night. Tomorrow is church and brunch and then we head to Nebraska.
I’m glad to read and catch up with all of you!
