Wow, we are all on the same page with making the most of September. September and October has always been my favorite months I too am going to venture to the 'great outdoors' today. I need to get out of the house before I really go stir crazy. Think Jack Nickleson in the Shinning LOL. I do not plan on overdoing...just need a change of scenery. Bee enjoy your grocery shopping. I'm in the mood for a nice crisp apple. Will see what our local market has. LaDonna happy that you had a nice time with Randy's family yesterday. I shall also don the 'newbie cap' right along with you Nice that you have some books given to you. Hope they are keepers June yes the weight is ever so s l o w l y going down. I still have a few to get off to get to my pre-surgery weight. 1.7 to be exact. I was doing fine until the antibiotic was thrown in the mix. Oh well......recovery before weight loss is in order! June I am not a good 'car travel gal' which is why I avoid long trips on weekend and especially on holidays. We will stick with in town stuff today, as most people don't know that the sleep town of Athol exists LOL...just the way I like it
(((Becky))) So very sorry you didn't sleep well. I hope you get a nap in so you'll be back to your ol' chipper self!
I'm all planned and tracked for the day. will try to pop in later. If not, talk tomorrow

Yay for a scale victory Ann Bee - I just spend almost $150 at the supermarket! But I got lots of good stuff. Happy shopping. How nice of your uncle to grill you some of the fish LaDonna. The place I go to is a state park that's apx. 10 miles long with the ocean on one side and the bay on the other. There are 2 guarded bathing beaches which is where we go. The rest is dotted with fishermen, 4 wheelers, dogs and natural beauty. There is all sorts of wildlife, included red fox. Thank you June. Feel better Becky. Can you take a nap?

Gonna start off by saying, 'Welcome, September!' Under my breath I am saying, 'May you treat us kinder than August did --- temp wise.'
Becky, I am on that September bandwagon with you. It's okay if you're not chipper. May you day get better as it goes along.
June, that sounds like a good and tasty (per R) day planned. Hope the bubble bath materializes and you get to soak a long time.
Cathy, glad your pain left. Hope surgery on BIL goes good and takes acre of the problem. Always lots of room on my wagons. Sounds like a good plan for the day.
MJ, glad the tree is now done. I bet you are achy. Treat those aches nice.
Ann, I am joining you in KOKOing. Some days that is all we are able to do.
Susi, your haul from the garden looked really good. That chili relleno casserole sounds real good. Could you please email me the recipe? My DIL loves peppers. Glad you had a good day yesterday.
LaDonna, glad they did your grilled fish. Is Catfish Stew like Catfish Courtboullion? Yes, let's make September and OP month.
Pam, are you heading for BLUE again? I know you're smiling ...
Got to the store, had my list but just wasn't in the mood to buy veggies. Did pick up blueberies. Will run to the corner neighborhood Walmart one day this coming week.
Hope ALL have a great day!

MJ - They also had an unadvertised special of 8 oz teriyaki marinaded skirt steaks for $1.99 each. Plus the flat iron steaks. Bee - I don't use a recipe. I use about 1.5 cups roasted chopped poblanos, chopped chipoltes to taste, apx 1.5 cups (6-8) beaten eggs or egg beaters, 1 cup shredded cheddar (I used fat free). Bake in a cake pan at 350 until in no longer jiggles, apx. 25 minutes.

I had to take notes on all the posts and will probably miss a lot. Becky and Susi, I hope you both sleep better tonight. We were awakened at 6 a.m. with the sounds of guns, the first morning of dove hunting. Lily Belle ran into the bedroom frantic and would not leave our sides till the shooting ended, about 8:30. This will continue for several days but this weekend is the worst. Cathy, sending prayers that your BIL has a successful surgery. I have known several people who were much better after the second or third procedure. My girlfriend's husband is having a device similar to a pacemaker put into his spine this week. He had surgeries and then was rear ended on the highway so it has been downhill from then. I am glad your migraine is gone. Enjoy talking to your daughters and granddaughters on line tonight. Susi, your produce looks great. I am going to make the eggplant casserole again today or else I will lose them. Mine are so tiny but there are several so it should be enough. Diva, what a successful logging party. I don't want to be sexist but are you the only female who participates in the hard work? I understand why you and Toots passed on the birthday barbeque. La Donna, how nice of Randy's uncle to grill some of the fish for you. Hope you get your reports done quickly and can enjoy your books. I just ordered one called Two Buck Chuck and the Marlboro Man, vingettes about people who live in our valley. Two buck Chuck is Fred Franzia, maker of Charles Shaw wines. We seem to spend $150 or more every week and somehow use it up. I got end of season peaches, plums and pluots for only 99 cents a pound where I bought my olive oil Thursday. I threw away the apples DH bought before stone fruit season. I have no idea why he bought them and they were all getting soft and bad. We bought a cantaloupe, fresh figs and some grapes this weekend. It is still awhile before we will buy apples. We sat next to him at a fundraiser dinner many years ago and he was trying to bribe the waiters to get us better wine

Susi the beach you described sounds very pretty. Glad you got to stock up and also snagged some good deals in the process. Red fox are so beautiful.
Bee you are right. Some days KOKO is all I can handle, so it's all that I do.
Audrey glad I'm not the only one that takes notes and misses posts
I did get out today which felt good. Did a little shopping and browsing.
Now I'm just going to relax for the rest of my Sunday. Carl is doing pork chops on the grille. Not sure of the sides. He said to leave it up to him and I have no problem with that lol.

Okay, Ladies. I was hungry for some mac and white cheese sauce, so bought some Amy's. Never again. I will make from scratch and just live through the consequences. I even added some sauteed spinach and marinated artichokes that I had cooked --- and that did not help. LOL
Good thing I do not get hungry for mac and cheese often.

I’m in and willing to KOKO with tracking and hydrating as well as adding steps. I’ve got this as I continue smiling and aiming for blue. I’m also taking care of myself as I relax and enjoy the day.

Bee - That makes 4 servings. I freeze 2 and will have it for breakfast tomorrow and Wednesday with some avocado, salsa verde, Greek yogurt with some lime and cilantro. Audrey - So funny about Two Buck Chuck! How nice of Carl to cook it all tonight Ann. Relax and enjoy Hope you got some good laughs June. Bee - Hate when it's not what you where hoping for. I felt like that with the fried chicken and waffles last week. At least it was a small piece of chicke. Pam - Have a great blue dot/blue sky day. Bike ride got cancelled as Carol needs a new rear tire. So she and Frankie hung out with my fur crew and we got some pool time in. I'm going to walk Charlie now and then have a nice snifter of brandy before bed.

Our supper / evening plans have now changed three times. First, we were supper-on-our-own + NASCAR, right here at home, after MousekeSitting. Then we were BBQ-at-the-MousekeHouse, time TBD (they opted out of getting dressed up and going out for dinner). Then it was "are you going to eat anything when you come?" <eh?> <EH?!> Then it was "we are at the (soon-to-be-moving) neighbors, for one last BBQ but might be home 6-ish." I finally texted MissMouse that "we don't have to come if it looks like it's getting too sticky" - which gave her the "out" that she needed - the Mice and her DH were all settled in at the neighbors' and scrambling around just to cook us a couple of burgers is simply NOT a Good Right Idea (catch-phrase from a very young Son#2 and still useful today). Wait... that's FOUR flips... and after all that, we'll follow our original plan: supper and NASCAR here at home. <ai-yi-yi>

MJ, just rest.
Susi, okay. Will surprise DDIL with it one morning for breakfast or a lite dinner. I'm from the south and never heard of chicken and waffles until a couple of years ago. Not something I want to eat together.
