I just noticed the Freestyle Program Book Guide to Dining and Shopping is 50% off. It’s beginning...change is coming.

Yeah!!!! I feel bad for those who will be lured into the fire sale and buy books, food scale, etc., thinking they are getting a bargain. Believe me, I fell for it many a times before I got wise. Though a good bargain on the food scale may be worth it for those who want to just weigh their food.

I still have, and use, the WWer food scale I bought well before they ever incorporated the points into the scale. All my scale does is weigh food. It's done that consistently, and well, for years.

I have two WW scales from many programs ago. But I basically just use them for measuring food so it is fine.
Honestly, it has always bothered me when WW would put soon to be obsolete items up for sale, not really telling people they would soon be obsolete. I wouldn't mind, say, a Freestyle cookbook since it would still have value for the recipes but for the things that will have no value later I really wish they would handle them differently.

Nothing was said at my meeting about program information being on sale, only about by two bags of the protein powder mix and you get a free tumbler.
I started with the 1-2-3 program don't know when I purchased it but I have a white scale that measures ounces and grams has a bowl that sits on top of it that can come off. I was given a point scale sometime in my Weight Watcher history that thing is long gone broke down almost immediately however my little white Workhorse trenches on.

Just got back from vacation and see nothing much has changed! WW still selling off stuff while they prepare for a different program. I too have an older WW scale I’ve used for years to weigh food.
I am losing weight since going back to Pointsplus, and vacation didn’t hinder it.
I feel it’s almost unethical to sell off stuff that can’t be used for a new program, but then I remind myself that WW is only a business. Glad to be back!

Fire sale here too, with rumours that the new program is rolling out in November. From memory, Points Plus was also rolled out in the month of November (about 2010 I think???).

It won’t surprise me if there is an earlier-than-usual introduction to a new program. I’m sure they have been working frantically to get everything together to do a rollout so that those who left due to SmartPoints and/or Freestyle will come back. Creating an influx of new or return members in November would bump up the bottom line of the financials for the quarter and the year.

If it's early, what happens to the January new years resolution peeps?

If it's early, what happens to the January new years resolution peeps? Those peeps usually show up because of NY resolutions, and WW always ramps up advertising after Christmas. So the rollout period is usually primarily for current members and those who watch for the end-of-year introduction and return.

This ^ plus that way it was a smooth delivery for the leaders by then and they had it down pat. Plus the older members were informed and could help out with questions too.
