I read this morning on Splinter that former House Speaker Paul Ryan, who now sits on the board at Fox, told the Murdochs to start planning now for a post-Trump news organization. I'm paraphrasing here but, he was quoted as saying he was embarrassed by Trump and by having the ear of Laughlin Murdoch, he now has real power. Really?! Just wow.

My hope, which I think is entirely possible given his erratic, unstable nature, is that Trump will completely implode and destroy himself with his lies and tweets to the point that any "reasonable" person has to conclude that he is a threat to the nation and has to go. But, it's going to be a blood bath as he goes down, and I'm not looking forward to that. There's no limit to the amount of deceit, dishonor, and just plain "ugliness" this man is capable of unleashing.

I don't get it. If US senators are so scared of him. Shouldn't they find hime guilty after impeachment so he wont be President to hurt him.

I dont get why they are so afraid either. He could be, probably is, a mobster. Mobsters demand absolute loyalty. If they don't have your loyality your loved ones are in danger of being tortured or killed. Threats like that are a heck of a bargaining chip.
I can see him doing something like that. He's a clear and present danger. An out of control loose cannon. The worse kind of wild and dangerous animal. The deranged human.

amyrs, I'm not sure much has changed from the old explanation; that members fear being primary-ed (sp?) by an angry base. That Trump, with just a tweet or two, could end the career of any republican member of congress by having them voted out of office. I've been wondering how all of this will impact Biden and his candidacy. He was falling behind EW in the most recent polls right before this bombshell broke. He's a great guy but, I thought his debate performances were seriously lacking and that he appeared too old and out of touch. I saw Nancy Pelosi today on Morning Joe and despite her sometimes halting speech, she's still sharp as a tack.

Oh man, this is sad..........I get the satire, but still already.
"There’s now a helpline for adults who are angry with Greta Thunberg
An inordinate number of middle-aged men seem to be going out of their minds because a teenage girl doesn’t want the world to collapse. In response to the rise of Greta Derangement Syndrome a satirist has created The Greta Thunberg Helpline, “for adults angry at a child.” Let’s hope that Trump gives it a call sometime."

Loved the way she flicked off KAC's comment as if KAC was a dead flea! Uppity women (and I mean that as a compliment) don't have time for stupidity. Nancy Pelosi reminds me of a tortoise. BTW, That's also a compliment. She's focused on where she's going which is straight ahead. If there's something blocking her path that won't stop her. She won't try to move it. Why should she waste time trying to move a boulder? She's not going to budge it anyway and there's always the chance she'd end up on her back trying. Not worth it. She'll either go around it, go over it, or find another way to go. She's been around a long time. Don't bother her with foolishness. She doesn't have time for pests like fleas or fools. Nancy Pelosi is the adult in the room. I admire her. Can you tell? Girls like Greta and senior women like Nancy are showing the world that Sister's are mad as hell and aren't going to take it anymore. Girl Power what am! lol.

Here's another vote for Girl Power! Typical JA strategy (evidently he only has one playbook), he's in deep you know what and so he has the State Department start digging back through Hillary's emails. He's really quite comical in that Three Stoogies slap-stick comedy kind of way if you can just get past the fact that he is an evil, deviant, pile of that same you know what destroying the country.

If I hear one more Republican talking about the transcript I'm going to scream. It's a version edited by the WH, presumably to put the best spin on the whole thing. And it's still damning. Who knows how the actual 30 minute conversation went.

They are making the unclassified email of Hilary retroactively classified.- to blame her of what she did not do.

When all else fails throw red meat at your mindless base by mentioning Hillary Clinton. That will keep them all worked up over nothing and give you time to continue to destroy the country. They almost beg to be a distraction. Pathetic fools.
What would this goon do without her?

I'm going to borrow a quote from the GDT which has a few lawyers:
When you have the law on your side, pound on the law. When you have the facts on your side, pound on the facts. When you have neither, pound on the table.
