I'm IN. And today I'll need to be particularly mindful - it's the last day before school starts around here, so my last chance to PLAN so I'm not caught off-guard (not that THAT ever happens... ). It's supposed to be sunny and in the high 70s, and I want to enjoy it! Coffee... βββ... πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ Countdown to the First Day of School (Weds 9/4): ππ

Have a great easy day MJ I'm in. Yesterday was very rough at work and that will continue to day with lots of non standard payroll work. It didn't leave until 7 last night and today looks the same. Then we will see.

Morning all. I'm in.
It's a classic blue-sky September day. I still can't believe how fast the summer went. I have lots of catching up to do with chores and errands today. Dinner will be an easy black bean corn salsa and grilled chicken. Hope everyone enjoys the day.
Susi - fingers crossed today isn't as bad.
MJ - have the best day!

Good Morning everyone. diva49, I had to read twice that your highs will be in the upper 70s. How nice. My morning started at 76 and this afternoon we should top out at 100! Yikes, I'm really looking forward to some cooler weather. I'm hopeful that Dorian will stay off shore and not bring too much trouble to the east coast. The Bahamas look really devastated on the news though, so sad. I'm IN! Have a great day y'all!

The next 48 hours will be when Dorian affects our coast. This hurricane is moving like a turtle, very stressful. We are about 30 from the beach, so no flooding problems. My biggest concern are winds knocking a pine tree into our house. Might lose power but we have a generator.
And to add to my stress, I'm still dealing with remodeling the Jack and Jill bathroom and 3 bedrooms.
π· is in my future, we are well stocked

Good morning!
still waiting...damn turtle of a hurricane! Poor Bahamas, my heart breaks..monster storm just lingering over them for so long!
Our impact should start tonight into tomorrow..I am ready..food and plenty of wine, all items outside are secured.
I live about 5 mile from Jacksonville Beach, but out of the flooding zone. My zone has not been evacuated, I don't expect it will since this thing seems to have moved more off shore.
Regardless, I plan on staying put and hunkering down, as are my neighbors
Keep safe everyone! thank you for your kind thoughts

That explains the difference. Our kids (in Texas) get out before Memorial Day: May 22, 2020.

Our plan is May 28, but we normally go to about June 3-4 due to snow days.
They don't have any make up days in the middle of the year anymore, they are all tacked on at the end

Prayers for everyone in Dorian's path. Congrats pamthomas46 on limiting refined sugars and your loss. It is definitely not a cool day here and expected to be hot and dry for through the middle of September. Sigh!At least no hurricane here but we sure could use some rain.No measurable rain in 2 months now.In drought and under burn ban.Oh well it could be worse.
