Sue happy birthday So happy that you enjoyed a bday breakfast with your RHG Your meal sounds delish. Great that you have a good dentist that you enjoy going to. We lucked out with our dentist as well. He too is very upbeat and just an all out nice guy. Carl and I opted to stay put for supper. I had some leftover meatloaf and we enjoyed that with carrots and a crusty dinner roll. Going to sit and relax a bit. I have to decide which book on my kindle to start next LOL. Sweet dreams!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Did everyone remember to set their clocks back one hour? I did ours last night so I wouldn't have to this morning. Consequently we went to bed at 8:30 and got up at 6:30 so got a good night's sleep!
We had a cut-up orange and half banana each for breakfast. DH's mom used to make a fruit bowl that way and he shared it with me, and now it is something we do frequently. I felt hungry when I got up, but he suggested we wait until we went to the restaurant to EAT, so we had coffee and fruit and now I am quite satisfied. I still need to make a decision about what to eat at lunchtime. Our apples (which we fondly nicknames "Crustless Apple Pie") was very good last night. DH had a couple of Danish cookies with his and I had mine plain.
I have perused "My Foods" on my WW app for ideas, and have decided on a salad topped with Krab salad, which comes with a HB egg, tomato, and a whole wheat pita. I also have 1 Tbsp of blue cheese dressing for flavor. All together it comes to 9 SP and as that is my breakfast and lunch, I'll go for it. If we come home after Retrouvaille, I will most likely have a turkey sandwich (6 SP) and a cup of Progresso Light soup (2 SP). I have pre-tracked my lunch. Now my focus will be on avoiding the snack table at Retrouvaille. Perhaps I should take myself a snack to have at the break instead?? Marching along here ......
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue I vote for carting a snack with you. That way you won't feel deprived We always set our clocks back before we go to bed. That works well for us. Hope everyone enjoys their day. I'm all planned and tracked....going to do laundry and sit and read.

Hi all,
We are home in our ever so humble abode after spending four days among the lives of the rich and famous and Cinderella‘s castle to boot! It’s hard for me to even describe the amount of food just at the cocktail hour in the castle. It was truly opulence to a degree I have never seen! There was sushi , there was a Chinese buffet, a Mexican buffet and racks and racks of prosciutto and Italian cold cuts and cheeses from around the world, fruits and vegetables stacked to the ceiling, salads, falafel‘s , pulled pork, shrimp, oysters, lobsters sliders, a martini luge b featuring many types of martini and special cocktails and champagne were flowing for a few hours after the ceremony.
As if that wasn’t enough we then moved into the ballroom to be serenaded by one of the top wedding bands from New York City. The band was a 10 piece group playing virtually anything you can think of from Sinatra to the four tops to Springsteen and more. Dinner was a choice of Château Briand, Italian Branzino and another dish plus vegetarian and vegan offered as well. After dinner a cake that was baked by the Food Network winner of the year last year -I joke not- was cut by the bride and groom and served along with trays and trays of Italian pastries and soon a gelato cart complete with neon lights moved into the ballroom along with trays of Zeppilies which are in Italian pastry popular in New Jersey.
After that evening I vowed never to eat again! There was an artist set up in the corner painting a portrait of the bride and groom at the altar which she finished by the time the reception ended. it was beautiful. After my vow to abstain from all eating, there was a brunch the very next morning at my daughter-in-law‘s parents home catered once again along with an Italian buffet offered that evening at their home for out of town guests. My own family is known to have pretty formal and lavish weddings, but nothing compares to this one and to the one they hosted for my son and daughter-in-law a few years ago. I will send along photos in an email so you can get a glimpse especially with some of the over some of the over the top food and amazing floral displays.
The castle itself was magnificent and the entire outside was filled with fountains and many large trees decorated with white lights so it really did have a fairytale feeling. We were all shuttled about back-and-forth from the hotel to different venues in a very nice plush bus.
We had a ball visiting my sons in-laws family from Canada who are the most down to earth funny and kind group of lobster fisherman. They have large fishing operations in Canada but live on a small island in Nova Scotia.
Now we are home and waiting to get a call to pick up Doug and Daisy who are both being groomed as we speak. I can’t wait to see them and tomorrow it’s back to the grind stone and regular life once again. It is fun every now and then to dress up and all the sparkles and all the jewels and all the glitzy dresses And dance the night away! It was the wedding of the century.

Sue - Was it your birthday celebration on Saturday, or someone in your Red Hat group? I love the menus you post as it gives me ideas. It sounds like you did very well during a challenging week. Thanks for the idea of playing Words with Friends while riding the bike. DH and I also enjoy fruit bowls. Saturday we had one with grapes, cantaloupe, satsuma and nectarine.
Ann - Sorry your plans with friends fell through. The same thing seems to happy every time we make plans with our former camp neighbors. I never count on them actually showing up. It gets really aggravating if you turn down other plans and then they don't show.
Judy - I loved hearing about the wedding festivities and seeing the pictures. I can only imagine what all that cost. $$$$$$ You and DH were quite a good-looking couple!
We had a good time at the camp. I spent some quality time around a campfire with DSIS & her BFF after DH and I had a lovely dinner of Dungeness crabs at the casino. Saturday we women had a good time "treasure hunting" at Dirt Cheap and an antique/junk shop. I got several cute Christmas ornaments for the DGKs which were hand made from tin and hand-painted. I also got a small table top tin Christmas tree by the same person as part of DD1's Christmas gift. I got a good deal on a pack of Frozen panties that will be a part of Madison's birthday gift and a new journal to post daily WI's as my old one is nearly full after 8 years. DH and I went out for pizza and beer at the Ugly Pirate and enjoyed visiting with the owners and other patrons. There was also a guitarist and we enjoyed his music, too. After we got home, I finished another book and then headed to bed. We got up at 6:00 AM and left at 7:00 AM. I made it to 10:00 Mass here at home.
After Mass, I had a slice of leftover pizza and greek yogurt with blueberries for lunch. I was very hungry, having missed breakfast, except for coffee.
I did MUCH better with staying OP at the camp than I usually do, with only minor slip-ups. I used up all my weeklies, but that was part of the plan. I find it much easier to stay OP during the week, plus I plan to be diligent about exercise, which will cover my one Lindor truffle per day. On the way to the camp, DH bought a bag of Cheetos, which used to be my favorite camp snack. However, I know I have to buy the smallest bag available, because it's a binge food for me. Well, I rode all the way there with the bag beside me without eating any, made it all afternoon, but finally succumbed to late night snacking after coming home from the campfire. I did keep it to one serving. Luckily, by the time I got back from shopping Saturday, DH had finished the bag. Dinner tonight was salad with lots of veggies, a boiled egg, 3 oz. of leftover chicken breast and 2 Tbs. Bolthouse Cilantro Avocado dressing. I impulsively ate a snack size Hershey bar at DD1's tonight when I dropped off Abby and was shocked to find out it was 6 PP. Consequently, I will be skipping my nightly Lindor truffle.
After lunch, I headed to town to pick up Jude and Anna for a basketball camp, but Jude was sick in bed with a bad cough, so only Abby came. I had fun watching the drills. When it was over, Abby begged to stay a while and play with the kids from her group, so I stayed and watched the next class of older kids. It is amazing what they have these kids doing. After we got home, Abby stayed with DH while I went to bible study. When I got back, I learned that they had played school and DH was a naughty student and got written up, lol. Abby and I played board games until it was time to take her home. DD1 & Anna got back from her volleyball camp shortly after we got there. DH had all the salad vegetables chopped so all I had to do was put my salad together.
I am yawning steadily, so jammies and bed are in my near future. It's been a long, busy day! Sweet dreams all!
