Pam enjoy your Mary celebrations. I do remember the feast of the Immaculate Conception. Back in the day, we had all Saint days off from school in lieu of a spring vacation. Then they changed that ruling. You are wise to eat light to compensate Well, we are having a 'heat wave'. It is now up to 26 LOL. I tagged along with Carl when he went to pick up an Rx. Now I'm home again and going to sit and read with the tree lit and instrumental Christmas music playing.

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
It has been a whirlwind weekend but we've enjoyed it as much as possible. Yesterday we had a good visit with DBIL. He is in the ICU so limited visiting. We arrived when his DD and her DH were just leaving, so we stayed about an hour then we headed back. We had chosen a restaurant for supper that we were passing on the way home and when we got to that town, there was something exciting going on, as the police had all the inbound roads blocked and there was enormous traffic! We guessed a parade of some sort -perhaps lights since it was right about dusk. We were unable to turn left into the restaurant parking lot due to traffic, then decided we'd probably be unable to get back out - IF they had a table. So we went on down the road. We discussed several different options, and ended up eating at Qdoba where we haven't been for quite some time. It was a real treat and we enjoyed everything about it very much.
I got picked up about 11 this morning and four of us went to a Christmas High Tea which was very enjoyable. I even brought some of the sweets from our last (fourth) course home with me for DH. We had a plate of mini sandwiches + fruit + cheese; then a plate of salad with walnuts & craisins and Raspberry Vinaigrette; then a blueberry scone with lemon and cream; then a plate of assorted sweets. We tried the Snickerdoodle tea and the Gingerbread tea (which were our two favorites) and also tried Candy Cane which was good, and St. Nick (our least favorite). There were live carolers in costume and lots of conversation and laughter. A great time was had by all.
On the way home, we stopped at Kohl's and I snagged a few stocking stuffers for DH; and the other girls all found little things too. Since I've been home I've ordered him another Christmas present (new NB shoes). I was chilled when I got home, so I've changed into a Cuddle Duds shirt with an oversized fleece shirt of Pooh. I got a message that my small friend, Andy (who was with me in Head Start last year) is looking forward to seeing me at the Christmas party tonight. I am excited to see him as well. We will be headed to the VP Christmas Party in an hour or so, then back home early and well-fed.
Tomorrow morning is back to school and a brand new week. The only thing we had on our schedule was dinner with DBIL tomorrow night but that has been put on hold - so we have the whole week open until we go out to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary on Friday.
BBL. Make a great day!!
