Itβs our sonβs 40th birthday and his wife is having a small family party for him. I will eat mindfully for breakfast and lunch because dinner will not be light. I will also move and hydrate. Spending the day packing the remaining Christmas decorations.

Was up at 3:15 to take daughter to the airport. It was a wild trip in but easier on the return home as the sun was up a bit. I rested most of the day with a three hour nap and early to bed evening. I am resting a bit more today and staying warm as I catch up on a few things around the house. It was a wonderful visit and we accomplished a lot. I am back on track this morning and have recorded breakfast in my journal. I will continue to record online and on paper and this year will be an OP one instead of an iffy one. DD had a delay in London then another in Dallas so she was able to clear customs and make her flight home...though her luggage did not arrive with her.
ANN: enjoy the meal out NYE with your friends. I like your idea of reflecting on the visit with my daughter. Interesting that you are on the blue plan. Do you like it?
BECKY: Hooray for a string of OP days. I had a nice LONG nap yesterday and that is something I don't often do. I am still a bit tired or perhaps it is let-down after the days doing so much with our daughter.
AUDREY: Wise plan for the 40th birthday celebration for your son. Hope the cold that came to visit will soon decide to move out of your body. My sister has had some horrible virus (or whatever) that she has had trouble shaking.
BEE: Here's to a healthy life eating the way that works.
JUNE: I have not seen a new plan since points plus came out. I know some are doing well after having chosen one of the three plans there are to choose from.
MJ: What did you decide to do about lunch in the midst of soccer practice? Did you take a lunch, eat before you went or when you came home again?
LADONNA: Sorry about the shoulder pain but glad it is better. Hooray for three OP days!
SUSI: Great summary of the three programs WW now provides. I am not sure which one I will follow or if I will just count calories on MFP...time will tell. Will Cheryl need to go to a rehab place for a bit after the hospital stay?
PAM: Stay cozy and warm inside...good idea with more snow expected!
We have zucchini, eggplant, cabbage and carrots as fresh vegetables (I think) but need to verify and then come up with a meal plan...also have spinach we should eat today as it will go off more quickly than the other veggies. It feels good to be back to eating "normal" again

Good morning all. Another good night's sleep...even though I woke up early Nothing is planned today so I can always nap if need be. Cathy happy that the ride from the airport was better. I know just what you mean getting back into your own routine now and eating 'normal' again Yes I like the blue plan as it's familiar to me and I have good results in maintaining on it. Holidays are harder...but I use the balancing act and so far, so good. It's nice that weight watchers offers 3 plans as now all have a choice. Off to do my 'computer chores' then I'll have coffee. Happy birthday to your son Audrey. Enjoy the celebration I like the idea a prehydrating Ann I'm sure you'll do fine Becky Cathy - Glad DD had a safe return and you are getting back on track. Cheryl was transferred to a nearby rehab center. Not sure how long she will need to be there. I may go later today after lunch out or tomorrow after work. This is the same rehab center my late MIL spent several years at and the care then was good as long as you stayed on top of things. It the same social services director and he is very good at his job. Today we are taking Carol's stepson and his wife out for lunch at a sports bar. I'll have a chicken sandwich with coleslaw, maybe a couple of onion rings and a beer. Breakfast and dinner are light around that. NYE, Cheryl, Carol and I were going to have dinner and play cards. Maybe we will go over there if she is up to it to play cards for a bit. Visiting hours end at 8 so we would need to go early. I got some stuff planned and precooked yesterday so I should be in pretty good shape to be OP this week.

I did not sleep well at all. Must have been the late afternoon coffee and nap. I'll add another day to the OP String. Lots of roast LO to feed the family today and I have options for myself. June, you know I'm a Gamecock fan so I'd have been totally ok with a Buck Eye win! They sure gave Clemson a run for their money Ann, LOL to already hydrating. My DD loves chinese food. What do you get when you go? Sesame chicken is something I used to order a lot but I know it is a terrible choice. I've not had any in years. Becky, hope today will find you feeling better. Your knee, too. Audrey, Happy 40th to your DS. I may start putting some decorations away as well. Its going to be a rainy afternoon so it will give me something to do. Cathy, I've also been glad to get back to my way of eating after all the holiday get togethers. Glad to hear your DD made it home safely. Hope the luggage catches up. Susi, glad to hear Cheryl got settled in and you feel comfortable with her facility. Enjoy lunch out with the fam.

Good morning, Ann - Becky - Audrey - Cathy - Susi - LaDonna - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1, who is slowly getting better...
β¨πΆππΆβ¨πΆππΆβ¨
Soccer practice ran from noon to 2 PM. Toots came with me; first, we walked briskly around the track, went back to the car to have our picnic lunch, and then dozed/read our books in the sunbeam coming through the car windows. Shortly before 2 PM we walked the track one more time. We took the Kressling for a haircut (YM event on New Year's Day) and then brought him back here and he stayed until after dinner. Son#1 & DDIL are hosting ZuberChristmas (her family) this afternoon so sleeping over was not an option.
Today Toots slept in really late. He's expressed his joy in "seeing daylight" through the window when he opens his eyes, instead of the pre-dawn darkness of our regular schedule. Today's plans <hahaha> include menu planning/grocery list (nothing urgent; CanCan sales are starting so I need to consider what I will stockpile), football, and to get deeper into my end-of-year paper sorting/shredding.
And coffee... βββ... mustn't forget that...
β¨πΆππΆβ¨πΆππΆβ¨ Have a healthy-eating day, all! β¨πΆππΆβ¨πΆππΆβ¨

Bee s very happy to hear that the new drops are helping you out. Prayers shall continue my friend. MJ happy you are having a more normal laid back day. All my shredding is complete...organizing? ? That's NEVER done. But I'm good with it as is for now. LaDonna normally when we go Chinese I either get veggie lo mein sesame chicken or the hot spicy chicken with egg roll and of course my favorite crab rangoon. It's never a low point or calorie meal But oh so good. Sorry you didn't sleep well. Napping never bothers my sleep pattern. Only thing that does is when I can't 'shut my brain off' or I'm in pain. Susi enjoy lunch out and hope you have a good visit with Cheryl. Nice to know that she will be well cared for with someone overlooking things. I am all planned and tracked. My pain level was quite high earlier. I took an ibuprofen and tylenol and it is finally subsiding. I know my surgeon suggested me going for PT which at this time I am not willing to do. I shall call him at some point this week after the holidays. Time to get a move on.

Glad the pain is finally subsiding Ann. Do you not think PT would help? Our lunch plans got postponed so Carol and I went to a nearby Mediterranean restaurant that we had a coupon for. We shared a gyro platter and a hummus and falafel platter. Both were excellent and we brought food home. Cheryl sounds good but is not up for company. Perhaps after work tomorrow.

Ann Ha ha ha. . . Isn't Chinese supposed to be "the" alternative meal for Xmas? You always do a great job of flushing the sodium & balancing out the calories from Chinese restaurants. Becky Love that you have a streak of OP days going. Good on you!
Bee Yaaaaaaaaay! Wonderful news!
Cathy Glad to hear that your DD arrived home safely. Hope her baggage finds it way home. Best of all worlds-- anticipation of het visit, accomplishment of tasks, joy of new memories, reassurance of her & your safe returns, and pleasure of "normal" dishes.
Mj Nice to have extended time w/ Kressling. Terrific that Toots was up for two walks as you waited for practice to end. Love that Toots slept until sunbeams appeared.
LaDonna Sorry that your sleep was poor last night. Will Hope that you rest better tonight. How is your shoulder? Buckeyes gave the Tigers a better game than I anticipated. I felt like OSU had a good number of soft opponents through the season. So. . . I just wasn't"t sure how they would perform. As much as I hate to say this, the matchup of LSU & Clemson should make a better national playoff.
Audrey Happy 40th birthday to your son. Enjoy. Good job getting more decorations squared away.
Susi Glad that you & Carol could salvage your Sunday. Hope that Cheryl will soon feel like having company. Good that she is staying at a rehab facility which you know. It can be reassuring.
