Unless the veterans group becomes VERY vocal, vocal enough for even Fox to show it, they're going to be waiting a very long time for an apology. And if they should get one, as DotRen, said it will definitely not be a meaningful one.

It sounds like Bolton's book is going to be a real bombshell, and evidently the WH has known this for awhile. I don't like Bolton and never have. He's too much of a war hawk for me, but he was there in the thick of things and his testimony needs to be heard. I seriously doubt it will be though. What really gets me is how unpatriotic it all is. He knew about all this, he knew it was wrong, he could have walked in and testified anytime but instead he held out so he could increase his book sales and make money off the country's misery. That tells you a lot about his character and the character of all the people the JA has chosen to have around him.

I guess we will find out if our government can weather all this BS unchanged. It does seem like the institutions have changed beyond repair.

Romney seems pretty positive, that there will be at least 4 votes for witnesses. Hmmmmm, does he know something we don't & can we trust him to say what he means & mean what he says. Been down this road before.

I don't think we ever discussed Pompeo's ripping of the NPR reporter. Sounds like DT's soul mate.

It's hard to have any trust in Romney, but this time I hope he is right and that he will stick to what he is saying. Still, even with witnesses there's not going to be any conviction, but MAYBE it will help wake people up for the election.
Reporting about this administration has become a "hazardous duty" occupation. It is absolutely disgraceful the way they treat the press, and it's really fortunate that some crackpot hasn't seriously harmed or even killed a reporter yet. The JA invites violence against them all the time. Sooner or later, if something isn't done to stop them, that will happen.

LOL...I'm sitting here laughing at Jane Raskin, one of JA defense attorneys, extolling the virtues of Rudy & how wonderful he is & he didn't do anything wrong during this time in question...LOL....

Trump is not alone when it comes to that if their lips are moving they are lying thing.
Why not? Trump republicans have managed to lure obedient, faithful, trusting, God fearing foolish people, into their evil plan.
Say the right words, even if those words are a pack of lies, and the faithful will happily jump off a cliff for you. Of course you will encourage them to go first and, of course, they joyfully will.
They must have skipped that, "beware of wolves in sheeps clothing" thing.
Blind fools make me sick!

I believe using the name of the Lord in vain isn't swearing when you slam your fingers in a car door.
I believe it's attatching the Lords name to evil plots and plans and convincing the obedient and faithful to go along with it.
It's times like this I wish I believed in Heaven and Hell.

As for Jane Raskin and the rest of them, I wonder how much it costs to buy someone's soul? I guess I should ask Lindsey Graham. I'm sure he must know how much he got for his.

In the name of Jesus? Lol! What a deceitful thug.
These lying, soul destroying, wicked people are the reason our Founders insisted upon complete separation of church and state.
If you go through a red light and get caught you will have to pay the price. You might have to pay a fine. You might have to spend time in jail or picking up trash on the highway.
If you deceive people by pretending God told you to do this or that, if you turn people against each other, or do any other deceitful act and hook the name of Jesus to your destructive plan and pretend it's freedom of religion, unless Jesus walks into the courtroom himself as a witness, you should be thrown in jail for the rest of your life.
This is the unforgivable sin. This is using the name of the Lord in vain. This is using true believers for your own personal and evil gains.
This is why we must keep religion and politics in separate rooms.
Believers are trusting and vulnerable to any con artist who pins the name of Jesus on their deceitful/destructive plans.
In the name of Jesus? Don't drop names. He has to show up in the flesh and speak for himself.
I say this in the name of Birdgal. Lol.

Will they or won't they call witnesses? And in the long run does it even matter? We've got to beat him at the ballot box!
Is it possible for Ted Cruz to get any more slimy, or has he reached rock bottom? Most likely he can go even lower.
Off the political topic, but I am very sorry about Kobe Bryant's death and certainly that of his daughter, but I'm really tired of the media coverage it is getting with so little coverage of the others who died along with him including other children. It's like the media values his life above the others. I know it's based on the fact that he had so many fans so there is more genuine interest in him nationally, but I keep thinking how the other families must feel each time it is talked about with little to no mention of their own loved one(s). That would almost be like rubbing salt into the wound I think.
