What do you think of the NYT dual endorsement of both Klobuchar and Warren?

Thinking of you & yours, conniefromct....Sometimes its just sec to sec to hold it all together when waiting is all you can do. As the others said, take care of yourself too. Caregivers tend to take care of others first & themselves last, but when you are the one everyone is depending on, its important, not selfish to put yourself first from time to time. Even if its only for a few minutes to walk away to take some deep breathes & clear your head....:-)
As for the NYT dual endorsements, not sure if its a cop out or what. Just happy to see the women on the cover rather than the men. Do endorsements really mean anything in the end, anyway?
I didn't read Pence's op ed. I'll have to check that out. Anything Pence does or says makes me want throw up, even just seeing his name in print here makes me gag...LOL

I had not seen the dual endorsement for Elizabeth and Amy. Did they give a reason? It seems a little strange other than it is past time we had a woman in office. Amy is much more moderate than Elizabeth, however, so their policies don't really seem to mesh. I'd be happy to see either one of them sitting behind that desk in the Oval. Oh I just looked it up, and this is the reason they gave: " If there were ever a time to be open to new ideas, it is now. If there were ever a time to seek stability, now is it.
That’s why we’re endorsing the most effective advocates for each approach. They are Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar."Still it seems like they are saying each would be a good President, so it's up to the voters to decide if they want new ideas or stability yet not making an endorsement for either position which seems very much outside the norm for them. Personally after the chaos since 2016, I am ready for some stability to get us back on track. At least that's what my preference is right now, but maybe that's because I'm 70 instead of 25.

Alan Dershowitz has made a complete 180 since Clinton. I guess he could be described as a media whore. He'll say anything and take any position if the money is there and he can get publicity from it. Fits right in with the JA and his crew. In 1998 impeachment doesn't require a crime. In 2020 suddenly impeachment does require a crime. Wonder if JA found him standing under a street light?

nashville11 , also he's defended such stellar people as O.J. and Epstein. ETA: I can't say I'm surprised that there are no public events on the presidential schedule to mark MLK Day. Silence speaks volumes... Further ETA: Well, he finally tweeted but all he did was brag about low African-American unemployment - lowest ever according to him. There was some other bragging, can't remember it all. Faux News said "Trump honors MLK and his own inaguration in tweet" (I'm paraphrasing). Hmmm, I didn't see anything honoring King other than mentioning it was indeed MLK Day today.

Tell us how you really feel. Sorry. You're right. This is a political chat room. A place to discuss politics and policies. Not a place to rant or rave. Not a place for personal feelings. When I see trump and his supporters swinging a wrecking ball at the USA it makes me angry and afraid and I want to swing a bigger and stronger wrecking ball at them by lashing out at them and him on here. What good does that do? Not one single good thing. Not one.

The JA does it publicly on pretty much an hourly basis. Surely we can do it here in our little safe haven, so rant and rave away is what I say.

My comment was tongue in cheek. I knew that. lol. I do tend to get in a ranting and raving mood especially when it comes to Thing 1 in the WH. I turn the channel every time I see that smirk on that twisted face. But, you know what? He's on all the other channels all the time too and he complained about President Obama being on TV too much. I don't think President Obama was on enough. lol.

Poor Baron? There are many, many other young boys and girls that my sympathy and compassion are with. Poor Baron will have a lot more in his life than other children. Children living in the street, in homeless shelters, in abusive homes, in hospitals, and so on.
KWIM?

Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton blasts Sen. Bernie Sanders in a new documentary, saying "nobody likes him" and telling The Hollywood Reporter that she won't commit to endorsing and campaigning for him if he's the Democratic 2020 nominee........
Gosh, I sure wish Hilary wouldn't insert herself into the Democratic Nomination process right now. It helps no one IMHO. She has a right to her opinions, just like everyone, but, jeez, just stay on the sidelines & don't make it about yourself & give fodder to JA & his enablers. UGH! She wasn't my first pick for a candidate in 2016, but I supported & voted for her, & I do think she may have been a decent president, but its over, she didn't win, now let the process work itself out this time around without negative comments that just hurt the nomination process. As for Sanders, I do think his time may have passed, but should he win the nomination, then we do for him what many did for her, you support the candidate & move on. I hate this snipping at each other withn the party no matter who is doing it. More than ever its important to be united to beat JA this Fall.

I agree, her time is passed, she needs to step back and not cause more strife in the Democratic party and with the voters! All she can do with her jabs is divide the vote and help hand a re-election to DT.
