What can you do today to lose or maintain your weight and stay healthy?

I can plan, move, hydrate and track. We are having a string of gloomy gray days since last week’s rain. I would make excuses to not walk outside but Lily Belle keeps me on track with her daily walks. I have three errands, CVS, a few groceries at a nearby store and then I’m getting a gift card at the yoga studio as a birthday gift for my daughter Laura. I want to make sure she can use it any time during the year since her work schedule is erratic. Dinner will be another soup meal.

Today I can: Make healthy choices, hydrate, exercise
I have a good start on the day having had overnight chia see pudding with berries for breakfast and ten of my twenty to thirty minutes of exercise in already. Hubby is off to Beirut and though he asked me to come along I opted out. I will be out of the house all day tomorrow and don't have time to go into Beirut - or the desire to go, either.
JUNE: You are wise to plan a week of menus
BEE: I can't find acorn squash here...your breakfast sounds yummy! So does your dinner.
ANN: I did head back into the kitchen later BUT had a healthy homemade beanburger on whole grain bun with arugula so feel at least what I chose was not all bad I am glad you are healing and the antibiotic cream is working. I think it is marvelous you can snap a photo, send it to the doctor and not have to go in for it to be looked at in person.
BECKY: Is your propane tank to cook with or heat with or? We have tanks for our stove and also one for a heater that we don't use often. I have started using the electric space heater in one room...it does make it "cold" when I head to bed, though.
AUDREY: Hope your husband did well at the oral surgeon's - your soup sounds warm and nutritious. My husband has had the implants done for removed teeth. I have heard it is less expensive to do them in Lebanon and people come especially for that - doubt they do so as often now with the political situation so volatile, though. Implants are no pain-free but a much better option than going without.
SUSI: Your breakfast sounds yummy! Haven't had french toast in years. I hope Midnight is on the mend! Thank you for the link to the potato leek soup. I will see if YouTube has a video on cleaning the leeks. Hubby might like that when he gets home from Beirut. I don't envy you the vet bills but am sure it is worth it.
MJ: I love your reward system for remaining at goal!
PAM: waving and thinking of you chasing blue dots
LADONNA: Hope you had a fun day

Ann LOL. . . Lulu was a bad dog not to remind you that there was no mail service yesterday. Glad that a nice cup of tea could chase the chill away.
Audrey Oh my. . . the oral surgeon's diagnosis had to be quite a shock for Bob and you. Will be good to get input from your long time dentist so he can make an informed choice. Kudos for not letting the weather sidetrack your walls.
I rather like walking on gray sky days-- some days. Guess it is a good thing, since we have lots of cloud cover. (Was the reason that an arsenal was built in our area during WWII). Sometimes there is a soft quiet on a gray day that seems like the world is wrapped in flannel. Other times the shades of gray paint the perfect background for red Cardinals on snow covered branches. Ha ha ha. . . I will need to remind myself that I truly feel this way when I am trudging across campus this afternoon in 20 degree weather w/ the wind blowing.
Bee Oh my goodness. . . You really did yourself proud w/ the tasty, healthy breakfast and dinner. Yum, yum, yum. I will be stealing your ideas.
Becky Does seem to take time for a house to get warm once everything inside takes on a chill. Hope that today you are warmer. Glad that you both could sleep through the night despite the unexpected nap.
Cathy Did you find a YouTube video? Great choice for supper.
Mj What Troll beads did buy? Hope you get an answer from the LaFitness center soon.
LaDonna Hope all is well w/ you and yours. Know that tax season, years' end, year's beginning can be a busy time in an office.
Pam Keep smiling as you KOKO.
Susi Wonder what special entree you will enjoy today. Hope that Midnight's health will Rebound after this second treatment.

Okey dokey Time for a second cup of tea.
Will walk inside my office building, walk at the mall, and walk during produce run.
Will start to think about and gather any post-op needs for R. After the spine surgery, we have plenty of pillows for cushioning his elbow. So... Need to pick up some Dial anti bacterial soap for presurgical shower.

Cathy happy that your kitchen trip was a healthy one. Yes, I agree....it's wonderful with today's technology that you don't have to actually GO to see a doctor. June great goals. Good planning and prepping June Waving to LaDonna, MJ, Becky, Pam You wouldn't know there is anything wrong with Midnight. She plays, eats, cuddles a little. I'm in, planned and tracked. Minor detour for a glass of wine after work with some of the old gym crew We lost one member to cancer in July at age 58 and Marybeth's h.usband's death was a complete shock right before Christmas.

Good morning all, the weekend in Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach was nice. The wedding was at St. Thomas Preservation Hall in downtown Wilmington. I'd never been to the area so it was fun doing a little exploring. Got delayed on I95 in accident traffic and the drive home took an extra hour and a half but at least we were safe..thankful. I weighed this morning and maintained my weight. Hitting reset this morning to hopefully lose a few ounces before Thurs. am WI. I'll try and catch up on weekends posts tonight. Hope all is well with everyone.
Audrey, I love soup in cold weather. We stopped at Chicfila otw home yesterday and I ordered their chicken tortilla soup. Its seasonal so they don't have it all the time. Its really good.
Ann, stay warm out and about....that is cccccold! It is colder here this week than last week. so back to the heat. wind chills in the 30s so that feels like 0 to us LOL
Cathy, enjoy your day. how far are you from Beirut? sounds like you are definitely off to a great start.
June, sounds like great organizing for the upcoming procedures...hugs and prayers. I'm a bit out of the loop. I need to catch up.
Susi, glad to hear midnight seems good - hope her tummy catches up.

Right now it is 14 degrees no wind and sunshine. Depending on how that feels to me will determine if I walk or not. Being just about pain free trumps my steps and what the scale reads. So far I'm holding my own.

Ann, 14 degrees still sounds very cold to me. So happy to hear you are almost pain free. Cathy, enjoy your day at home. I assume you will see your "friends" tomorrow. LaDonna, bravo for maintaining your weight after the trip to Wilmington and the wedding. Susi, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Hope Midnight continues to get healthier. June, you sound very organized for R's next surgery and getting in your walking today.
Bob is feeling better but I told him he should cancel the eyelid surgery scheduled for next week and take care of his teeth first. He has very droopy eyelids but the tooth issue was an emergency when he cracked the tooth that had to be extracted. Eyelid surgery is painful and takes a while for healing. We will see what he decides. I am buying him more soft food at the grocery store today.

Audrey I am hoping Bob cancels his eye surgery. Dealing with one is bad enough. You are a good wife shopping for soft foods.

Accountable at WI this morning. Now checking in for dental appt then grocery shopping. My to do list will keep me organized. I’m focused and will keep on keeping doing what I know works. Meals are planned and will be tracked. Sticking with water as I hydrate this morning. Lots of walking will take place as I move through the day aiming for blue. Have a healthy day .
