LaDonna What is purlough? Is that a cooking term? Thx for the recipe. Here's an idea --Could reduce the sodium by replacing 1/2 of the spice mix w/ losodium dry beef bouillon.
Always good to hear about someone else's good experience & outcome. Thx for sharing about Randy's knee replacement.

I can plan, track, move and hydrate. Itβs warmer with a high of 63 and low of 45. Iβm getting a facial this afternoon. It has been six months since I saw her and now her daughter is officially engaged to Jon Pardi so I go for the gossip as much as for better skin π Itβs day three of soup week and today is WW crockpot lentil soup. DH did cancel the eyelid surgery and will move forward with the dental implants.

I will KOKO.I was OP yesterday but ate more than I probably should have. However I have been feeling weak so I'm trying to eat a little more.We are in for a rainy and coolish day.
LaDonna Thanks for posting about Randy's experience with his knee replacement. When I went to the ortho last year he said it would be a 2 day stay so I'm not sure yet.I wish it would be outpatient.
Amazon delivered a knee brace I ordered and will try it out when we go grocery shopping.

I stayed up LATE or into the wee hours of the morning. I am going to try to focus and keep my eyes open today! A government has been approved (cabinet) but main roads, schools, etc are closed and protests continue

Ann May you have smooth sailing as you execute your M(y) P (a)TH. Pardon me, I scramble PTMH like that everything r. So I thought that I would share. Hope you find what you want at WM.
Audrey Ha ha ha. . . That would qualify as happy news not gossip. A lively chat & facial is a good combination. You must be relieved that Bob will not try to take on both dental and eyelid surgery.
So many great soups! Yum!
Becky Hope that the new brace provides some support & comfort. It's only natural to wish that you could go home later after an operation. Who would not? Will be best for you & Kenneth to have nursing care for those first couple of days. Hope that you feel stronger today.
Cathy Were you awake watching the news? Working on reviews? Hope that the new government will bring some stability to your country. Can you nap during the day? Being tired makes me eat more.

Waving & hollering out a hearty "gooooooood morning" reminsceint of Minnie Pearl. Have a happy, healthy day Bee, Mj, LaDonna, Pam, and Susi.
Wednesday's plan Buying or ordering new walking shoes. Think of some afternoon excursion for R & me that is a little more fun than grocery shopping. If nearby Pa. shoe store has shoes in stock, then maybe we will eat lunch at an old fashion steelcar diner in town . . . Wait for it... and hit a grocery store for canned goods & such.
Will try to stress to R that our days of cooking extra for my parents is over. I do not want to eat the same thing for daysssssss. And no, haluski (cabbage & noodles) does not freeze well. He wants to try his hand at making Strombolis. So, he wants to use the same amount of dough as he would for two sheets of pizza. Ugh! Oh well, there are worse things than a guy who will cook & bake.

Good morning all. Another good sleeping night. Woke up to the temperature of 1 degree! It's an improvement from the way it has been LOL. LOL June I hear you on a cooking and baking DH. Carl LOVES to cook and bake. Unfortunately he does NOT like to 'clean up'. Some of the utensils that he uses I swear I've never seen....but whatever...as you say their are worse things. Great plans for the day. Love the My Path Hi MJ (((Cathy))) Becky hope the knee brace your ordered is a good fit. I also get weak when I don't eat enough....especially protein! Feel better. Becky enjoy your facial and 'gossip' waving and wishing awf a good OP day.

LaDonna - Thanks. I have a very low sodium stock (140 mg per cup) and sodium free bullion that I can use to control the salt. I'll let you know how it turns out. Stay warm and enjoy your trip to Walmart Ann Audrey - Glad he isn't dealing with both at the same time. Enjoy the facial and the gossip time! Enjoy your soup. Becky - Hope the brace provides some interim relief. Hopefully the extra food, especially protein, will help with the weak feeling. Cathy - Hopefully with the cabinet approved things will slowly start to settle down. LOL MJ. June - At least the strombolis will freeze! And at least he is trying. It's not easy to scale back when you are used to cooking for more people. Hope you can find something fun to do and a good pair of walking shoes. Have a great day Bee! Had a nice time with the girls last night. Marybeth was touched by the card and the money we collected. I forgot that the place was also a brewery so I ended up with a beer for under $5 plus tip instead of a $15 glass of wine. :-) Tonight I'll stop at Cheryl's to pick up her mail and crutches, go to my meeting and then take the stuff over to the nursing home. Dinner will be on the fly. Scale was up but still below goal and I know why from Sunday. My nephew is back in port at Naval Station Everett today!

Hi Bee...prayers for you as well. Susi happy that you enjoyed the brewery. Wow that is steep for a glass of the grape I'm sure Cheryl will enjoy your visit. That's the way I feel...I'm below goal in my happy zone so I don't fret about the little blips. It is now up to 10 degrees. Still sunny with no wind. I'll see how that 10 feels to me before I decide to walk or just run errands. Later!

LOL Ann. I pay $4 at the Elks for a glass of wine but most restaurants around here start at $9 per glass at the more casual restaurants and go up from there. That's why we prefer BYOB restaurants.

Audrey, hope everything will go well for DH and enjoy that facial...sounds nice and relaxing. love J Pardi! Becky, hope the brace will help. A nurse came to ck on Randy the night of his surgery at the house and the next morning. PT also came to the house for his first three sessions. For his one wk follow up he drove himself to the dr.
