Hey folks and WELCOME to our site! We all know how hard getting started is, and what it feels like to get lost in the shuffle. I can imagine if you are new here it seems like this group has known each other for at least a decade. The thing is, we were all new at some point, had questions, were looking for support, and most importantly were looking for a place where we would feel welcome. So jump on in, we get it! itsrad and I work VERY hard at keeping this site as snark-free as possible. (Which is really ironic once you get to know us because we can snark with the best of them so don't test us 🤣) Everyone here is on a journey. This is the place to ask questions without worrying. Between us all there is probably 1,000+ years of WW wisdom, so ASK US. Your questions will probably get answered quicker on the General Board but if you tag me here I will get back to you (to tag someone use the @ symbol and their name with no space between or hit their name on the quick-tag below in the message box) or someone else will jump in and answer because this is truly an amazing group of people. 😊

I'll join my welcome to DebDoesWW's and just mention that if you register (top right), you'll see features and menu options that are available only to registered members. Plus when someone responds to your question you'll get a notification. Registered members have a Profile option on the menu that will allow you to "tailor" your experience here.

I’ve been doing WW for almost 2 weeks now. Will I always be hungry? I wake up hungry, I’m hungry between meals, and often hungry before bedtime. I’m using all my 30 points and going over 1 -2 days and trying to eat healthy...but nothing is satisfying. Tips?

txmimi, for me, I limit processed carbs (bread, pasta, etc) and use small amounts of full fats like butter and olive oil, and make sure I get plenty of protein. Probably 85% of my points are from protein and fats, with plenty of low-starch/non-starchy veggies and occasional processed carbs.

DotRen , thanks for seeing this, I am over at my folks and have been doing quick check ins here and missed this. txmimi , what Rene said ^^^ always make sure you are including fats, proteins and carbs in all meals if you can. Also head on over to the general board (not a lot of people check over here and I don't want your post getting lost) and post a rough menu on how you use your 30 points. We love tweaking menus here to get the most bang for your point buck here 🤗 You should NOT be hungry, especially after this length of time. (Maybe the first day or two while you are still changing your eating habits.) The old Good Health Guidelines (aka GHGs) REALLY help to keep you feeling satisfied. If you can start you day by planning menus around these it should help.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to this journey to be "Down50" in the next 6-8 months!
I'll probably have a lot of questions, but I'm glad to learn from all those with experience with WW.
Regards,
"Down50"

Hi everyone. I recently joined digital WW after being offered a great deal, but was disappointed to see that there was not a message board on the site. I did WW years ago in my early 20s with some success, but now that I'm older and found I need to lose more weight and get healthier I decided to rejoin WW. I wasted years and time on the more recent "fad" diets without any lingering success and finally made the smart decision to go back to the diet that I had success with. WW not only works but is fun. I've learned I need the support offered by WW rather than doing everything on my own. I really think digital would be far better if they had message boards, but it is what it is. I am very very happy to have discovered this board and look forward to going on this journey with you all.
