Praying for Trace 10 hrs ·
Trace continues to feel better, in-fact he is currently spending the night with his best friend. This is the first time in 10 weeks he has felt like doing anything. I am so thankful for our doctors who research day and night looking for something that could possibly help. I know sometimes we don't understand the therapy, and when you google they make no since, but we always know they have his best interest in mind when trying these meds on him. We have the utmost trust in them and of course God the one who guides them. I left out the detail last week about this new med costing thousands of dollars and because insurance denied again they GAVE it to us and will continue to as long as it is working. Thank you for your daily prayers. If I don't post again till our next appointment which is January 5, 2017, you all will know Trace is doing good. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR'S FROM THE MILLERS

Good Morning Holly Jollies, Wow, we made page 3 again. We are a really social group.
29 when I got up. To get to 48 and Sunshine. That will feel like summer after the last couple of days. Just kidding.
I just learned that there is a message place at the top. I saw that I had a message. I had gotten it 6 days ago and did not know. So there is another option.
I always go back and read the post after mine the day before I post the current thread.
Kathie, take care of Kathie. We don't need you to get down in your back.
Peggy Sue, I know what you mean about not getting in to Christmas this year. I got gifts ready to take to son's and I don't give any gifts except to the almost 3 year old and it was something he can enjoy on that long drive to CA. I gave each of the others a token gift like a Christmas cup or the females potpourri. Then I put money in. They can use it however that way and no going to a store to exchange. Your or right to keep Ted from shopping for awhile.
Jenny, I laughed at your math skills. I believe I am going to live tired the rest of my life. I want to blame it on the fact that the DR. dropped my synthroid dose back after she had raised it earlier. Can't be low iron anymore since I take iron every day now.
Rough night last night so I should sleep good tonight. Lunch with friends then I will go visit my brother in law. Maybe I will get to see some of the staff that worked with me. Since it will be 'warm' today I will probably pick up a few things for the Christmas at daughter's on 31st.
All of that cornbread talk yesterday caused me to put on a pot of beans. I had some for breakfast. Makes a different kind of wake up meal.
Have a Jolly Tuesday. 5 more days till Christmas and all that over eating. Sodium overload for me! KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS LUCY
PS: Rest Jenny. Phyl, great your are already making a goals list.

Good Morning Lucy and Holly Jollies,
This morning it was 21Âş (feels like 14Âş) and going up to 43Âş with partly cloudy skies and wind W 5-10 mph. We finally have a day coming up with temperatures above freezing.
Lucy, it is so good to hear that Trace is doing well on the new medicine and even is able to spend a night with a friend.
Sarah’s joint Christmas program with some other schools in the area was rescheduled to take place Wednesday evening. She gets out of school at noon and has to be at the church for the program at 7:00 PM.
Hannah and Rachael have final exams today and tomorrow and then will be on Christmas break until January 5 but Sarah has to go back to school after the break on the 4th.
Another Japan memory: I remember looking for a lot to build our house on in Koganei, a suburb of Tokyo. We were looking there because it was near the American School in Japan where our kids went. It was hard to find a lot large enough for a house, carport and a bit of space for a yard because most Japanese don’t have yards to be concerned about. We finally found one that was 60 X 60 feet and was about 3 feet higher than the street and in a nice neighborhood. I was able to work with our builder on the house plans. Our house had an entry with a step up where guests would leave their shoes and put on slippers provided by the owners. We had a study, small bathroom, L shaped living-dining room, kitchen, utility room and maid’s room on the first floor. Upstairs we had 3 bedrooms, a small storage room and a bathroom. This was our home for the last 10 years we were in Japan. When we moved in the builder brought us a gift of a large tank of tropical fish which he raised as a hobby. We had them until we left Japan and returned them to him at that time. More tomorrow.

Wonderful news about Trace! He keeps coming into my mind during the night, so I pray for him when that happens.
Lots to do today. Must make some more goodies -- we keep eating what I make! Yikes! Need to make a plan and stick to the plan.
Went to print out the Christmas letter this morning, and printer has decided not to print color or front to back (which it was doing perfectly well last time I used it.) Had to quickly change to copying rather than printing. Ugh. Too much to think about!
We put flannel sheets on the bed yesterday -- warm and cozy!
Y'all have a wonderful day! I'll BBL. --Molly

Morning, all!
We have an answer! Our DS does not have RA or any of the other many things he had been told he had! He has something unpronouncible that is a severe lung disease and all the other things are how it presents itself. So. The doctor has given us hope that with treatment, he may be back to normal lin about 18 months. There is a VERY expensive shot he should get twice a year, plus an oral med. Now we wait on the insurance company (Pray!) If they resist,he will be put on the lung transplant list. But this is hope!
I am worn out today. I still don't feel well -- just allergies and stress. I plan an easy day. Hope it really works out that way!
Lucy, so happy to hear the good report about Trace! And I love the Christmas tree facts. I didn't know about the message spot either.
Doris, Phyl, you have it colder that we do. Our range is 23Âş to 57Âş today, I think. Diane

Hi Lucy and Jolly Ladies,
It's 39 and partly cloudy, (feels like 33) the high is predicted to be 52!! We have a 40% chance of a white Christmas. A white Christmas is considered to having an inch of snow. We still have the snow from last week on the lawns and everything looks beautiful. As they say, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . . " and I love it!!
No plans for today, was going to go into work but have had a lingering cough for about a week, so thought it best to get it checked out. No aches or pain just the annoying cough and with Christmas just five days away with festivities starting on Christmas Eve, I think it's best to get it checked out. Will go to the Urgent Care up the street, no appointment necessary.
No supervision today (kiddos), so will continue to work toward my 2017 goals. Baby steps. All of my weekend chores are finished and will need to start this weekends chores a day earlier.
Lucy, good news about Trace, prayers that things continue to go in the right direction for him. Trace, have fun tonight!!
Molly, I had fun with you and your family. The treats were amazing and the best part they were 0 points!!
Have a wonderful day everyone.
Rocky Mountain Christmas Linda

Molly, sorry about your printer. I swear they are like kids sometimes. I run into that same problem not only with the printer but with my Cricut. Seems like when they do work like they should, it's getting late or something happens to pull you away. Thinking that everything will work right when we return the the project then BAM no can do. I feel your pain.
Diane, I hope the insurance comes through for your DS. Do rest today and let others pitch in. BTW, what do you do with your negative (left over) pieces when you scrap? I save even the smallest pieces, and they have come in handy at times for fillers for the boys craft projects and mine or when I need a small/tiny piece of paper to embellish those tiny spaces. Care to share some of your tips and tricks? Thanks in advance.

Linda, the reason I need to get rid of some paper is that I have TOO MUCH of it! I started out organizing, but that got to mean five sets of three drawer bins, plus odds and ends! Thus, my goal. I have to get control of this paper obsession! Diane

Back from breakfast! Our cook likes hash but he doesn't know how to make it. Today it was sweet potato hash for breakfast? Huh? No, I didn't have any.
It has stopped raining.
Diane, do have a restful day. I hope all goes well with the insurance company. That is stressful for all. Remember Obama Care was going to be the answer for everything? No, I shouldn't go there. Sorry.
Have a good day!

Lucy are you leaving today? I will be home until Saturday night and then gone for Sunday and Monday. Will post until then for you if you are. I must have missed when you are actually going. Not a very good 2nd in command am I? Sorry.
off to get hair cut and color. Zorro is at the Groomer so I will pick her up when I am finished. Do need a stop at the bank so will do that on the way to beauty shop. I keep marking things off my list. Hooray. Later today a batch or two of candy. If my energy holds up, didn't sleep worth a darn and was up at 4am doing Christmas MahJong for awhile.
Will check in later. Thanks for the Christmas tree information. It is fun reading all the facts.
Sweet potato hash sounds awful. He needs to find a better breakfast casserole. A lot of them out there.
