The virus news just continues to sound worse and worse. It definitely makes you feel insecure knowing we absolutely do not have anyone in control with any competence whatsoever, and that this administration considers personal political implications far more important than the health and safety of citizens. Who was the other congressman who self-quarantined after CPAC besides Ted Cruz? I have to admit that I got a laugh out of Ted Cruz having to self-quarantine. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen even to him or anyone around him, but the "bad" side of me did entertain the thought that it couldn't have happened to a more deserving fellow. (Sending myself to stand in the corner now.)
Did any of you see the Surgeon General interviewed by Jake Tapper yesterday? He was practically doing back flips trying to make things sound better for the JA. He even said that in some places in the country it was contained when asked about Kelly Anne's statement that the virus was now contained. Of course, he couldn't say WHERE it was contained, as it isn't contained anywhere. I don't think it is time to panic, but I do think that we need to be aware and cautious. All the disinformation the Trump administration is putting out there just makes things worse. I've even seen two FB posts recently from people I know get all their news from Fox that are way off base. One was saying that Vitamin C would cure Coronavirus so people should not be concerned as it was a simple solution. The other was saying something equally stupid. Were these people always this stupid and I just didn't realize it, or did the constant influx of propaganda from Fox News rot their brains?

UGH! Nothing good about the news today.
I usually keep extra meds on hand for all of us, but DS who is a Pharmacist suggested we get a couple months more to keep on hand. He thinks the supply chains who manufacture the meds are going to come up short the longer the Corona Virus hangs around. I know many cannot pay out of pocket for even a months worth, but it is a good suggestion, which I think I will do. I'm on 2 BP meds ( generic) so I will have to check out the price & go from there. Anybody ever do Good RX for coupons for meds? DS suggested that if paying out of pocket if one's pharmacy takes them. You can get a Good RX app for your phone. We have always had good script insurance so never have to worry about out of pocket. That is a great blessing, for sure.
Joyce, DH laughed too when he heard about Cruz. I told him to quit it, that it would jinx us...LOL So quit laughing...LOL I admit, I sniggered...:-)
The stock market...OH MY!!!

OH Jeez....They just showed JA in a crowd of people shaking hands, up close & personal...Photo Op at its best. He is directly going again what his own virus experts have been saying for weeks! What a damn moron! He must think he is really being macho by doing this. GOOD GRIEF!

@lka48, I have used goodrx for a while and it really does save a lot. My dogs meds are easily 1/4 the cost of full price! When my son had an ear infection (no insurance) he got $80 antibiotics for $18. So it definitely is a great deal since it's free!

Well, my local retail pharmacy won't take Good RX, so that's that. Living in a small rural town, it's not that unusual. I'll just pay the out of pocket this time & go back to my usual insurance refills. Just feel better having a couple more months BP pills on hand.

Linda, thanks for the advice about medicines. I'll check into Good RX. Like you, we've always had good insurance coverage so haven't had to worry about it, but insurance companies limit the amount you can get at one time. With our insurance we can get a 90-day supply, but you're then limited to how soon you can refill. All our prescriptions are generic which brings down the cost considerably, except that we each use Trulicity for diabetes. That is not generic and it's very expensive--expensive co-pay even with insurance.

Evidently Our Great Leader is in the WH whining about "Why is this happening to me!"...."Why in an election year"....So, when are his supporters going to wake up, he isn't protecting your behinds or worrying about you, but he is only in it for himself & now whining because he will get the blame....They can all go down with him, as far as I'm concerned. They've had 3 + years to figure who this guy really is & just turned a blind eye. Only thing is, their ignorance affects all of us.

The whole virus/economic situation is another reason why I don't think a Bernie presidency is a good idea. We don't need a revolution right now; we need to stabilize and figure out our new normal after this all winds down.
DT planning to skip some St. Patrick's Day celebration that the POTUS usually attends. He's blaming Nancy Pelosi; this event is always hosted by the Speaker. Apparently he just can't stand being at the same event as her. Uh huh.
He's planning to carry on with his blasted rallies. I can't help but wish bad things to all those attending. Forgive me Father for I have sinned...

I'm definitely in agreement lani, that this is a time where we need stability and not a revolution. Right now I feel like our country is in free fall into a dark abyss. We need someone who can give us back a sense of calm and confidence in who we are as a nation once again. I, for one, don't know who we are or what we stand for anymore. I feel totally lost. Bernie has some good ideas, but it is not the right time for those ideas IMO. Someone further down the line may one day be able to implement those ideas, but for now I want to feel safe, secure, and to be in a world I understand. I guess I'm looking for comfort.

So there was a press conference, DT introduced Pence who spent the first 5 minutes stroking DT's ego instead of giving the public information.

Jeez, that Press Conference was a nothing burger for sure. All repeat, all information that should have been available weeks ago. Pence works overtime "stroking DT's ego"...I totally agree, DotRen. Its almost comical. When Trump was talking or babbling , everyone on state was bobbing their heads up & down. I could just picture puppet strings behind the curtain making their heads agree with everything he said. UGH!

Linda, I think your primary is today. Who do you think will win North Dakota, Bernie or Biden? Do any of the rest of you have a primary today? It will be interesting to see the results tonight. I think it's pretty certain that Biden will take Mississippi, but it will be very interesting to see what happens in Michigan.
