I use only soap and water. Cannot stand the smell of the hand sanitizer or the feel. You do not want to know what I think it feels like.

Well hip hip hurray the tank has been changed. It was a very long day. The plumber was a real chatterbox. Under less tired circumstances I would have chatted with him but instead I stayed in the back bedroom. I so wanted to nap but it never happened. Such is life.

Ann, Carl rarely meets a stranger. 😃 Always feel that those meetings are supposed to happen. Wish you had been ready for the unexpected repair. But I am glad that you did not have a bigger mess, expenses, and disruption that was on the horizon. Maybe you will sleep like a log.
Susi I need to write myself a note. R can get the pneumonia shot this year. He definitely will be getting one. We both had the Shingles shot, the old version. Have seen a few relatives who had nasty flare ups. We get a yearly flu shot because it helps build up immunity. I rarely get sick,. Generally, if I do it is from R or from trying to help a sister who is sick. Now I just leave food & ginger ale on the porch!
LaDonna & Ann I wash my hands a lot. Will use sanitizer as an added measure. I sanitize my hands when I enter or leave the nursing home, for sure.
Becky Sending prayers for your DN. She is lucky to have a loving aunt like you.
I really could not have easily gotten in and out of old R's truck while recovering from my foot surgeries. I am too dang short. luckily, I had a Fusion, which I bought, in part, because I could easily transport my parents. R'snew truck is higher than his old one. It barely clears the garage door because of the standard 17" tires. Geez! And now I have an Escape. Going forward, one of us will have a sedan. . .

Bee, for some reason I think I know what you might be thinking re the hand sanitizer...LOL Becky, your niece being your flower girl is so special. I had three nieces when I got married and they all three were in my wedding. They looked so precious coming down the aisle in their little white dresses with the pink sashes. I sure hope you can get your car repaired. Ann, I understand completely. Glad its all said and done

Lol June. I had wonderful plans for today. Pizza was NOT on the menu but it happened. I enjoyed it and I'm sure I'll be wearing some of it tomorrow.
I also believe things like the plumber happen for a reason.

June, the reason I really don't plan --- it never ends up going that way. I am a winger.
LaDonna, you are probably right.

LaDonna Christina is my only niece.I do have 3 nephews but she is the only niece. She was like 5 years old I think and she stole the show. Her mom had made her a dress to match the bridesmaids dresses. It's still hard to believe she has 5 kids of her own and 2 are now married and have a child each. She is very special to me.I don't ever get to see them except on FB because they all live in North Texas.
