Ann I was also happy to find that metal clip to secure the shelf. Ha ha ha. . . Then I realized that I could not find a WW cookbook that had my egglplant parmesan stacks recipe. R and I played hide n seek w/ the cookbook until I realized that I donated it to Goodwill. Made my own version-- roasted eggplant slices sprayed w/ Pam & sprinkled w/ salt & pepper. Topped each slice w/ tomato & a mixture of low fat mozzarella chees, Parmesan cheese, & garlic powder. Served it w/ 3/4 c angel hair spaghetti w/ 1 tsp olive oil & garlic powder and a leftover chip drumstick. Very tasty.
Becky Understood. After awhile the wait for a surgery can become interminable.

Monday's goals Pretracked my meals and an evening snack. Meeting friend for breakfast, chat, and some shopping. Waffle House-- light breakfast- poached egg, 1/2 English muffin, sliced tomatoes, water. Unless I wake up super hungry and eat before I leave the house. Then I will drink something.
Feeling sad-- Dad's birthday is today. But I am comforted because I reread my sympathy cards & letters from you (and others). Your kind words were comforting and touching. Thank you again. Dad had a full life and was much loved. Mom is doing surprisingly well in the nursing home. So I am mostly sad for myself. . . But I am happy to have had a great father for 62 years.

First's are always hard, June. Glad you found some comfort.
Your eggplant stacks and pasta sound really good.
DDIL and I rode through Daiquiri Shop --- I got a small margarita. I am slightly tipped. Going to lay down and read.
I will duplicate today --- sans the margarita.
Hope AWF have a great OP day!

I had to lol as I've also looked for donated items. Your meal sounded fantastic.

Bee Your girls' night out made me laugh. One drink mightdo the same to me because I do not drink. Back in the day, I had an occasional Singapore Sling. Tasted like fruit punch, which was why it was my drink of choice.
Sleep well.
Thank you. We were lucky to have good parents who set good examples for us in many ways.
Becky Glad that the waiting time is slipping by quickly. That helps. Made you will discover something unexpected and appealing.. .
Ann Enjoy your nightcap. 😜 I appreciate the comfort that I found in your cards & letters when dad died and rereading them today on his birthday.

I will: Track points-exchanges-exercise
New Mantra: Getting Fit For The Trip (going to Scotland in July with DD)
Had an OP day yesterday with points/calories within goal and also got exercise in. Groceries purchased for healthy meals. Daughter confirmed she wants me to travel with her and do some sightseeing so am looking into possible places to see and stay for five to seven days.
We are having wild greens from the garden with radish greens and will have them with either garlic or onion and lemon juice and olive oil. We also have beans in a tomato-onion-garlic sauce for the protein...not sure how I will build the lunch but it will be good...also need to cook large French dandelion leaves and steam broccoli later. Already cooked the chicken for my husband and the cat
MJ: Who teaches the classes that the YM take (like seamanship)? It sounds like a LONG but productive day. How many who join YM go on to join the marines or other branches of the military?
SUSI: Your mezze sounds delicious! When I make tabouleh I soak the fine bulgur in lemon juice, add the amount of oil I want to put in, add salt and pepper then top with chopped tomatoes so the liquid from the lemon and tomatoes soak into the bulgur. I add the chopped parsley, onions and cucumbers, green peppers or whatever else hubby wants to put in...not the typical tabouleh but we like it. I remember trying to doo that with bulgur in the USA and not having it work because the bulgur was not precooked as it is here and ready to go but instead just cracked wheat and it should have been cooked, drained and cooled first.
ANN: Your comment about Bali bras brings back memories. Mom always wore them and I did for awhile but as I have gottten older and heavier found underwire annoying and as my rib cage seems to flare out toward the bottom bras with edges don't lie flat but curl up SO having almost given up last time I was at Nordstroms a fitter said she had one more bra for me to try and it was one that mastectomy patients wear. It didn't roll and was comfy so that is what I wear when not wearing those stretchy S/M/L type bras that I think might be playtex? NO...it is Bali's Comfort Revolution bra...go figure
GG/Vicki: How nice to see a low weight not seen for awhile! I am hoping to join you in seeing such on my scale...soon!
LADONNA: So glad to hear that the birthday boy enjoyed the party and that Laken is enjoying the job. There is always a learning period but once in the groove it become old hat and easy peasy and we only realize how much we "know" when newbies come to join us.
JUNE: My daughter usually brings me things I can't find here in Lebanon. Sometimes it is food and sometimes clothing or something else. I make a list and she gets what she can find there and brings it then fills the empty spaces in her suitcase from items she wants from here and it works out well. I have been to England more than once but never to Scotland. I am looking forward to it.
AUDREY: Your meal sounds good!
PAM: Waving from the other side of the world
BECKY: I know what you mean about the surgery...here's getting it over and done with so the pain-free days are yours again. I hope that your niece will be surgery-free from now on, too.

Good morning all. I guess one too many naps spoiled my sleep pattern. Oh well. There's not much on my agenda today that requires a lot of attention, so the lack of sleep is okay.
June hope you got your laundry folded before your series began.
Cathy I can't wear underwire bra. I used to for years until they began to mess with me. Bali does offer soft cups. Right now a sport bra or the ones that I got after my mastectomy fit the bill. So happy you are going to see DD.
wishing all a wonderful OP Monday.

Cathy Having the trip to anticipate will be great motivation. Wonderful that you can spend time w/ your daughter on an adventure. Sounds like a gourmet day!
Ann Sorry that the Sandman was stingy last night. Glad that you can take it easy today or even nap later.

MJ: Who teaches the classes that the YM take (like seamanship)? It sounds like a LONG but productive day. How many who join YM go on to join the marines or other branches of the military? The US Coast Guard Auxiliary taught the seamanship course; it is actually the state-mandated boating course and there were about 12 people there who were taking it for personal use. The local CERTS folks will teach first aid/CPR in March. We look to the larger community for things like that. The local unit's only been around since 10/2018. But one of the YMs from the first boot camp is 17 and IS enlisting in Marines; he leaves in September for boot camp.

Thanks June. I'm counting my blessings for an uneventful day.

Mj Wonderful that you can link up with others to make a large enough group for courses. Marines have a soft spot in my heart. My dad and nephew were both Marines.
Glad that Diva's taxi service can run at it's usual time this week.
