Sunday I can PTMH. Hopefully the weather will be nicer. I was far to cold to do any serious walking Saturday. We may stop at Market Basket and get a corned beef. They have flat cut low sodium on sale.
Sweet dreams.

I will KOKO. I enjoyed Noraβs party at the park yesterday without eating anything other than a few vegetables. Grocery shopping made me tired so I never returned to do personals. Today will be a quiet day at home. Bob is grilling chicken kebabs for dinner.

A day OP (yesterday) saw the scale moving in the right direction again - hooray! My mantra/thoughts are focused on:
* getting fit for the trip *
So...walking, strength training, increase endurance and strength, decrease weight while increasing flexibility.
I want to enjoy my time with my daughter in the UK/Scotland and had thought of tacking on a trip to the USA on one side or the other. With that in mind I wrote to family asking about best times to visit and think it might be wiser to go in autumn than summer OR perhaps around Christmas. We will see. The price for tickets should be lower, covid-19 might be on the downswing and it would mean, perhaps, having longer in the USA than tacking the trip onto the end or beginning of a trip to Europe. So...that is what I am thinking. Also, my husband will be 82 in November and though he feels young he definitely isn't so...breaking the travel into two trips might be wiser.
My DIL posted photos of my son with my granddaughters all gussied up for their first father-daughter dance. He is in a suit and all three look so thrilled to be spending time together. Brings back memories of a few father-daughter events of my own
I read through everyone's posts but will head off to do 15 more minutes of walking and perhaps check back later for personals.

Hope you slept well Ann Becky - Let the countdown continue. Enjoy your quiet day Audrey. Cathy - Breaking it up into 2 separate trips may be a wiser choice. There's a house in NJ that would welcome you, only a mile from the ocean. I hate this time change but I'm up, ferals are fed and I am enjoying my coffee

Good morning, Ann - Becky - Audrey - Cathy - Susi - Bee - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1 as we wait for the bloodwork results.
{{{Bee}}}
Asking for prayers for MissMouse's Spouse, Brian, who was sick with congestion/coughing for two weeks BEFORE going to California for a week for business and is now worse, including an ear infection. He saw the doctor yesterday and was put on steroids with a recheck today. MissMouse is angry at him for letting it get this bad (also for getting on a plane and going TO CA already sick with all this CV-19 stuff going on). I don't blame her.
ππ΅ππππ΅π.
WW workshop yesterday was disturbing <ahem>. I weighed in within range and my cyberVoucher (no more paper e-tools vouchers) has been added to my extended e-tools (6/2023). We had a substitute Coach. We were not thrilled. She talked at us and if a member interjected, that member was quashed.
For example, she went on and on about the importance of "mindset" in being successful. She stated that we are "cured" of our weight problems, with the right mindset. I stated that I do not consider myself to be "cured" (i.e., just because I'm maintaining successfully at goal does not mean that my brain will never ever seek out my former eating patterns). But NO, I am wrong. If I have the right mindset I am cured.
She also stated (to a gal who was concerned because one apple is not enough for a snack - she finds herself eating two or three at a time) that THAT must be the portion she needs. Some members were trying to suggest cutting it up and eating a piece at a time, or maybe adding protein, and not scarfing down so many. But NO - if the member needs 3 apples, she should eat 3 apples. She (Sophie) is the Coach and SHE knows the RIGHT answer.
She is supposed to be there for another couple of weeks. Will be interesting. I will be at next Saturday's workshop but 3/21 is YM drill.
Today is the township St. Patrick's Day parade. YM muster time is 11:45 AM and we step off at 1:30 PM. I am trying to figure out where I can park GracieTOO to be closer to WHS to deal with the gear. Our house is walking distance but just a tad too far for a quick adjustment.
Coffee will help me think... βββ...
ππ·ππ·ππ·ππ·π Have a healthy-eating day, all! ππ·ππ·ππ·ππ·π

Good morning all. Another great night of cutting Z's Stringing them along with my OP days make me MJ you won a gold star sitting through that 'meeting' Sheesh...what WAS she thinking? ? At least she's just a sub. Enjoy the St. Patrick's Day parade. (((((((((Bee))))))))) hold all those memories and know you are being watched over. Susi glad you are awake and I know the ferals are happy having been feed. Cathy great that the scale is moving in the right direction. Also agree that breaking up the trip may be the best thing to do. Audrey nice that you can enjoy a laid back day after a busy one. Becky enjoy your BBQ. Always a good thing to know your limitations. Waving......and will CBL. Sun is out however the temperature now is only 21!

Ann Hope a warm up will send favorable walking weather your way! Nice that there is a lower sodium option available AND on sale!
Audrey Great job dodging the sweets at the birthday party!
Bee Sending you a big warm hug. Those happy memories of Hucky will help. Is he the son who owned the property and loved to hold the shrimp boils.
Mj Good luck with staging the car near the parade route. Hope it's a great success. Am glad that the members continued to challenge the coach' goofy statements & outlook. I definitely would have been right there w/ them to suggest adding protein to a snack. Eating three apples is not the end of the world, but a healthier, better option is possible. Would have found her whackiness disturbing. Susi Hope that time change doesn't mess up your day too much. Ha ha ha. . . If I recall correctly, the ferals DO NOT agree with Daylight Savings Time!

Becky That's quite an accomplishment! You do not realize how much moving, shifting, storing, and so on is involved for post op until you have to do it. Whew! Glad that you listened to your body though. There is still a little time.
Ann Yes, gold stars all around for Mj and her fellow members. That said I could never listen to the idea of being "cured," b/c that strikes me as an unhelpful and unhealthy viewpoint.

Okey dokey, my goals
Continue meet my week's goal for activity. Eat breakfast. Decide what I want to eat the rest of the day. Am not baking cookies for R's friend. If he wants to bake, there's a small package of B Crocker chocolate chips. Only makes 18 cookies. If I do not bake them, then I will be better able to sit back and decide if I want any and if so, how much.
Have pretracked two bouts of activity and breakfast so far. Not sure that I am interested in the stuffed peppers. Need to decide. Better get to my day....
