Judy so sorry about the confirmed case. Sending soothing vibes your way.
Looking forward to the pictures.
Carl and LuLa are taking a nap. I'm going to sit and read.

Happy hump day friends. Woke up to sunshine and blue sky and also woke up feeling refreshed. All good things. Need to focus on the positives these days. Wish I could say that we are going to BJ's and out to eat! But no dice there. I have a list going and once it gets filled we'll decide which 'in town' place to hit. So far, so good.
Wishing all a pleasant day and I'll CBL......

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! I slept well again last night (for which I am always grateful). Our temps are still cool (in the 30’s) but we do have a slight warm-up on the horizon. Unfortunately it threatens to stay cloudy all day today. I will get out for a hood walk in a little bit.
DH went to a couple of his customers yesterday and was needed to do a couple of small repairs. That gave him something to do and he put a few $$ in his pocket, so it was a win-win. He spent most of the afternoon visiting with his VBF who is having a great deal of stress right now; and enjoyed being a blessing to him. So he felt like he had a good and productive day.
Pam ~ I was also glad to hear that your DH got to his wound care doctor and got that process started. That is nothing to fool around with. It sounds like you have used a great deal of wisdom in regards your suspending activities. We have had to do the same. It will become a way of life (soon, I hope).
Ann ~ I feel as strongly as you do about those people who price gouge. They SHOULD be jailed! Our State AG has made it abundantly clear than anyone caught price gouging will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law! I do not understand how people can take advantage at a time like this.
Judy ~ Bummer about a fellow employee testing positive. I am so glad you were already working from home. You are so much safer when you can control your environment. I am very fortunate, indeed, to be able to stay home and self-isolate (if I choose - and I do) and still be paid. I had worried about the financial end of it until our school superintendent emailed us all at the beginning that we would all be paid. I feel extremely blessed!!
I went for a hood walk yesterday before lunch. When DH got home, he suggested a short walk and I, of course, took him up on it! Good news is that after almost two months of varying degrees of shortness of breath, yesterday his breathing had returned to normal!! That’s about the best news I could have asked for at this time (short of the end of all this). He has been faithful about his antibiotics and inhaler, and some breathing exercises I showed him (that I learned in yoga) – and it seems to be paying off. He goes for a blood draw today, and then has his routine appointment with his Cardiologist tomorrow.
When I returned from my hood walk yesterday morning, I encountered a neighbor two (garage) doors down and we chatted for a few minutes. He lives alone and is about our age, so I admonished him if he needed ANYTHING to give us a shout. Meanwhile the garage door between us opened and out stepped another neighbor (young fellow who lives alone) so he joined the chat and I told him the same thing and he promised he would. It felt good just to “touch base” with each other and know we’re okay and here for each other. I will be texting the other two neighbors that I know today just to keep in touch.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Good morning all!
I slept well and for the second day in a row, woke up feeling refreshed before my alarm went off. DH has gone to take Jude to therapy. He is enjoying this chance to bond with his DGS and feels honored that Jude is sharing private things with him.
I am trying hard to keep eating normally and not stress eating and the scale is inching downward again. Last night we had chef salad for dinner. I have had toast and a boiled egg this morning and we will have a point-y breakfast-supper tonight per DH's request--cornbread, eggs and bacon. That means light lunch, so probably leftover salad with a little ham or some Progresso Light soup. I have also been moving more and did some yoga yesterday, though not as much as I would in a class. It really helped my mood.
Yesterday was DSIS's birthday, so I called to chat with her. She is concerned that her DH is still in MS trying to get his sister settled in her assisted living facility. That has been accomplished but he has been trying to sort through things at her house. DSIS told him to lock it up and come home. He is a cancer survivor but with MAJOR complications from the radiation therapy he received. It is doubtful he would survive CV-19. My older DB stopped by yesterday with papers to sign regarding our land in Nebraska. He is very concerned for his wife who is on meds for rheumatoid arthritis (as is our DD2) that compromise immunity. DSIL only has one kidney, having had a benign tumor years ago which required removal of the other one. All of us and our spouses are over 60, so high risk. Contemplating losing one or more of us is sobering, to say the least.
Sue - It is a good idea to keep in touch with neighbors. We have 3 widows in our little area of the neighborhood, though one does have a son living with her at the moment. You might want to find out contacts for each in case they get sick, so you would know who to notify. It's funny, but I thought about your DH's VBF when I heard about restaurants being closed or restricted. I hope and pray this doesn't shut him down for good.
Judy- It's disturbing to learn of a co-worker being sick, but most of us will get the virus sooner or later. I just want to hold off until medical services are not so overwhelmed. Glad you and DH are home.
Ann- You are so right about focusing on the positives! Keeping our stress levels down will help us sleep better and keep immunity high. Regular walks and other exercise will surely help that. When you need groceries, consider someplace that has curbside service or special shopping hours for seniors.
Have a good day and remember to stay hydrated!

Sue I guess some people are just greedy individuals. Thank God we don't fall into that same boat! Like you and your DH, Carl and I enjoy reaching out and lending a helping hand and listening ear as we see fit. Yesterday Carl dropped of a good portion of our corned beef that he smoked to our elderly next door neighbors. They are in their 80's and so appreciated it. It just helps us to focus on all that we have when reaching out sharing. Sometimes all someone needs is a smile to make their day. That is wonderful that you'll be paid during all of this, Sue. Our sun is nice and bright today. Just finished our second cup of coffee. Got a late start to our day In a bit we'll head on our with LuLa and pick up the mail. Sue thanks for sharing the uplifting way you spent your day. It really helps to cheer me up I shall pop in later.....

(((Pam))) so sorry to hear of your DSIS DH. Keeping all involved in my prayers. I'm sure the yoga is a mood lifter for you. Walking does it for me. Just being outside in the fresh air is a win win. It's also good as I know that LuLa puts a smile on everyone's face as we walk around. Several people either come to the door or knock on the window Too funny. That's great that you are not stress eating. I go in spurts with that....fortunately I'm holding my own. Still remaining in my comfort zone so it's all good. I got a emails where they are having meetings online. I downloaded the zoom app but not being computer savvy I can't make heads or tails out of it. Maybe I'll try it again later...... Judy hope all is well in your area. Take care

I somehow managed to hurt my back. Happened when I came home from a walk, sat down and when I went to get up I was in horrible pain...lower back area. I popped a Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Normally that works but it didn't touch the pain. I have a Lidocaine patch on it right now and hopefully that will help.
Always something......didn't need this pain right now.

Ouch, Ann!!! I have done similar in the past--one wrong move and you see stars. Try some ice packs, maybe? Then gentle stretching. I hope you feel better tomorrow!
I had a meeting with my neighbor while standing in the street, 6 ft. apart holding 2 cell phones with two other people on the lines. We were supposed to face time, but couldn't figure out how to do a group facetime, so settled on putting everyone on speaker. It was church-related and activities are suspended, so there's not much we can proceed with at the moment. Still, it was nice to have some social contact.
I also placed my first curb-side grocery order. It won't be ready until Friday at 7:00pm and some items may not be available. It is mostly meat and seafood items which aren't urgent by any means, and some milk. We'll see how it goes.
My GNO group has been posting back and forth today and I have also been emailing with credit union board members, so my phone has been noisy. DH just turned on spa music, so I am going to get jammified and read a bit. Sweet dreams to all!

Good morning. My back is still bothering me. Just doing what I can as I don't want to go to see my PCP for obvious reasons. Wishing all a great day.
Sorry for no personals. Just not up to it.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Thursday! It seems impossible that I was at school just one week ago today. It feels like much longer.
I enjoyed another good night's sleep and woke around the time I wanted to get up. That's always a win! I made Egg (Mc)Muffins for breakfast and we each ate a Halo tangerine. Very good! I am using up things I have found in the freezer (Canadian bacon & English muffins).
DH got a message yesterday to call his Cardiologist's office to reschedule his appointment (for today). I had wondered if that wouldn't happen. Routine check ups just seem non-essential at this time. They rescheduled him for 3 weeks out.
I have been out for my first hood walk this morning and plan at least one more - but hope for two.
Ann ~ So sorry to hear about your back. Hope you get some relief!!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Good morning! I did some drive-way walking and then took my coffee and prayer/meditation to the "green room". It is partly sunny and warm with a gentle breeze, so peaceful.
DH snuck off to the hardware store while I was outside. I figured he was going someplace he shouldn't, or he would have given me a heads up before he left. At least he did wash hands when he got back.
I had a long talk with Dee, DSIS' VBF, and encouraged her to move here to her dad's house, which is sitting empty. I think in a very short while, she won't be safe in the low-rent apartment complex where she is. The lady next door to her is always mooching $, food and cigarettes and has a drug-using-dealing son living with her, which of course is strictly against the rules. Also, we now have a case of CV in an adjoining parish, so it won't be long until it is here.
On the agenda today is washing sheets and cleaning the kitchen floor. DH will smoke some spareribs for dinner and I will make potato salad and sugar snap peas. We have salad already made. Since that is very point-y, I have opted to skip breakfast and have leftover cornbread and fruit for lunch.
Ann - Maybe your doctor would call in some muscle relaxer for you. My doctor's office sent notice yesterday to call or email any problems that pop up. They will begin using video visits if possible.
Sue - I am sleeping well, too, and attribute it to all the outside time and sunshine. I wanted to order lunch out today to support our local cafe, but DH convinced me we need to cull the leftover food already in the fridge.
Judy - Waving to you! Hope WFH is working for you.
Remember to hydrate, folks!

Hi girls. Happy to say that the balancing of house walking, heat, ice and rubbing ointment has finally kicked in. Not pain free, but this is doable. Thanks for your good prayers, suggestions and good vibes. They truly helped Sue so happy that you slept well. One of the many things that $$ just can't buy! Also a fan of halo oranges. So sweet and juicy and easy to peel Happy that they scheduled your DH 3 weeks out. Pam I wish I could take muscle relaxers. Last time I took them I got very dizzy and sick to my stomach. I still have them in a drawer somewhere LOL. MMM to smoked spare ribs. I love them as well. Pointy but so well worth it. Enjoy Judy praying that all is well with you and DH. We are having the rest of the corned beef for supper tonight. We have a little left as we gave some of it to our neighbors across the street on St. Patrick's Day. Take care, all!

Hi friends,
Wow, it hard to believe I am on my fourth day working from home (wfm) already. I have been swamped with work mostly dealing with different plans to keep work going as much as possible during this C-19 time. The world is just crazy right now, isn't it? It's like a bad dream in many ways. We are all pretty much sheltered at home - not officially but that could be coming. My DD is already in that boat in Santa Clara county, CA. I really feel for her as everything is shut down, including her own business. She has no income right now. Very scary. I'm so fortunate to be set up at home, collecting my pay and carrying on. I feel like I am never off the clock at home and that part is tiring. I had three conference calls today and lots of work afterwards. I just finished one, but I need a breather and may call it a day.
On top of everything else, I accidentally smashed my new expensive progressive glasses yesterday! I was so upset. I was weeding through old glasses to donate - Marie Kondo style- and I stepped on my own pair! Ugh! I called my eye doc but of course, he is closed. He told me to mail them to him. I worried that the USPS would really damage them further so I chose to drive them over to put them through his mail slot. He saw me outside and quickly opened the door and approached from a great distance and took them. It is a weird world. I feel like we all have leprosy!
Having the fridge six feet away is challenging but I am trying to be sensible. Not always but trying. Being all cooped up as we all are makes it tough, right? I have a three bean meat chili ready to pop into the Instant Pot in a minute. Last night was a chicken dish and shrimp the night before. The delivered meals have helped.
Pam, I am glad your DH is getting good medical care. I hope you are not right about all of us getting this virus. I shudder to think that but I am sure it is possible. We have canceled everything for our college and it's shut now. I feel sorry for the seniors with no commencement. We are trying to come up with creative ways to celebrate them. And our President is leaving in June so we are missing all is farewell celebrations as well as those to usher in our new President who is coming from the University of Chicago. Sad, but it'll work out.
Sue, I am glad that your DH is breathing better and that he is working a bit. Good for the mind and the pocketbook!
Ann, hope all is well for you and Carl. His smoked meats and your chili sounded so good! I checked out the virtual WW but I don't have Zoom and I don't feel like doing it. I have enough online meetings right now.
I facetimed with my DGD yesterday and when I asked how she was doing she said "not too good this morning. Mommy is not letting me play." Turns out my DD is trying to put her on a schedule as her school has assigned a little work to keep them on track. So, DGD only gives half the story. LOL She - my DGD - was also concerned that the Corona virus might come to our house. Poor kiddo.
Back to work for a bit. Stay well and I'll check in soon.

Judy so happy you checked in. Sorry about your eyeglasses. Glad they will be repaired. I don't blame you for dropping them off.
I got into a virtual meeting. First with no sound and then I had sound but no clue how to participate. I'm not good with computer stuff so doubt I'll do it again. When they open and I go back I'll just pay for missed meetings and be done with it.
My heart goes out to your DD and all not getting paid.
We had the rest of the corned beef for supper. Drinking extra water and will hit reset tomorrow.

Hello all!
Judy- It was good to hear from you. Worrying about our families will soon become our full-time occupation. Hard not to stress eat. I believe they will be granting small business loans and massive unemployment benefits, so I hope and pray your family will be okay. DH and I talked tonight and we decided whatever our family needs, we will provide monetarily to the best of our ability.
We had a long talk with DD1 tonight. Her boss and 3 other staff traveled to the 2 parishes with the highest rates of corona virus this past weekend. All the hospitals in the area, including the one next door to hospice, are barring anyone who went to those parishes, yet DD's boss not only insists on coming to work, but she will not isolate in her office and is pretty much punishing DD for keeping her distance from them. She even told DD to use the same warning for the office door as the hospital, but to remove the statement about travel to the two parishes where she and 3 staff members spent the weekend. DSIL is FURIOUS and questions DD when she gets home if she had any contact. She will not lie to her spouse, so is keeping her distance from the boss and paying the price. I am beyond furious and trying to figure out how to inform the board members I know without getting DD fired. DD could easily be working from home, but the boss won't allow it. It will be extremely hard to forgive this woman if there is an outbreak.
DH and I talked and decided we will make a run to the camp this weekend and bring home the tv, dvd player, microwave, DVDs, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, tools and all food. We will not be able to return for a couple of months, so the chance of vandalism will be high, especially if things get bad. We will take home anything we can use or value. It will be a one day trip, hopefully with no stops, if my weak bladder can make it.
Tomorrow morning, I will make my weekly trip to church for a meditation time. I REALLY need it!
