Today is DS's 30th birthday. We'll have him over for a meal. I'm cooking his favorite brown rice (not the healthy kind:) BBq chicken, mac and cheese, a vegetable and Chocolate chip cake. Not much else on the agenda other than planting the few plants I snagged Thurs evening.
Ann, we had wind today. Hot sunny wind. Cooling way down tonight.

Ann, the laundry never ends and there are just two of us. LaDonna, happy birthday to your DS. What a delicious dinner you are preparing for him! Enjoy the planting. I think our storms have ended and it will be 80 next Wednesday. Dinner tonight will be grilled chicken breast with sugar snap peas and salad. Last night was salad and pizza so today will be a lighter eating day. KOKO for me hydrating, walking and cleaning anything I missed this week like mopping a few floors.

Ann, laundry is in love with you. LOL Sounds like a workable plan.
LaDonna, that's a good birthday dinner. What is --- not the healthy kind --- brown rice? Not being a brown rice fan, I am just curious.
Audrey, dinner sounds good.
Dinner here was butternut squash/sweet tater/apple soup I dug out of the freezer and a grilled cheese on sourdough bread. It was delicious.
I can show up and be accountable after I WI.
Hope ALL have a good night.

LaDonna happy bday to DS. Enjoy celebrating.
Audrey and Bee your meals sound tasty. Lol yup laundry never ends. I had a good 4 days worth. There are just 2 of us also so no clue where it all comes from.
I did fairly well OP today. I had a fun size snickers and a piece of black licorice. Carl must smuggled them into the house.

Ann Thx for the start! Laundry multiples whenever you look away just for a minute! Sounds like a solid plan for Friday.
LaDonna Happy birthday to your DS. Are those some of his fav foods? Mac n cheese. . . Yum Ha ha ha .. . My guess was that brown rice has something brown added to it like a sauce and/or meat? Glad that you located some flowers for your yard. πΊπΌπΈπΊπΈπΌ
Audrey Do you grow sugar snap peas? I love them & was thinking of maybe planting a garden this summer. Both dinners sound good to me. Cleaning is like laundry . . .
Bee Love it when dinner is soup and toasted cheese. Yours sounds like it could be on a restaurant's menu.

Okey dokey Will continue down the same track tomorrow. Took a break from my PC to prepare some fresh vegetables-- squash, carrots, green beans asides.
we had a sudden hail storm tonight-- pea sized hail was spitting out of the sky. Nippy too!

I will KOKO by adding another OP day. We will go to HEB and pick up groceries.I booked a curbside order for 9:00-9:30 and PT will be in the afternoon. It's supposed to be in the 70's and not much chance of rain so I guess we will take a little walk in addition to the stretches.
LaDonna Happy Birthday to your DS.
I hope we all have a good day on this Good Friday.

The real rice pilaf recipe we have also calls for a stick of butter so I rarely make it.

WI accountability --- Tin Box slid slightly.
LaDonna, except for the butter that rice recipe reminded me of a pork chop casserole recipe from the River Roads cookbook back in the early '70's. My kids loved it so much it was a once a week thing. I'll see if I can track it down. It was simple and good.
Hope ALL have a great day and still praying for us ALL.

Good morning all. Slept well last night. Fell asleep on the couch and had no problem continuing it in bed June happy you took a break. Yikes to your hail! Hopefully it's not returning today. LaDonna that recipe sounds delish. I can't use a lot of butter as it no longer agrees with me. I'm sure it will be enjoyed by all. Becky nice that you scheduled a delivery at HEB. Hopefully all you ordered will be available. Bee hope you find that rice recipe. I like both white and brown rice. It's windy today and going to be windy in spurts. I'm sure I'll see those 'flying monkeys' LOL. Waving and will CBL

I remembered it, Ann. Was unable o find it on-line.
For 4:
4 pork chops (or however many you want to use)
little olive oil or oil of your choice
1 cup of uncooked rice
1 can Beef Broth or French Onion Soup (Campbell's) [Will need 2 cups liquid --- add water.]
1 onion chopped
half a green pepper chopped
salt, pepper and garlic powder
Season the chops, and brown them in the oil. Do not cook till done. Add broth or soup and deglaze the pan.
Wash your rice and scatter in a casserole dish. Pour the broth/soup into a measuring cup. If not 2 cups, add some water.
Pour the broth/soup/water over the rice. Place the chops atop the rice. Cover with foil and cook for 45 minutes at 350ΒΊ.
