Happy Friday all....we made it through another week of quarantine!! We all had the bumps and bruises of working from home, not working at all, working in chaos and working with the uncertainty of job security...whatever it was this week....we made!!!
Today....find a little bit of time to have some fun, call a friend, read a book in the sunshine, turn on some old music from HS and take a trip down memory lane....I know many are struggling with the kitchen and snacks so close at hand....today, try to grab a healthier snack today...try to get that extra little walk or stretching done in our work day....something to help us stay fit and come out on the other side this crisis still on the road to a healthier us!!
Christine...your sauce sounds similar to my homemade sauce but in the summer if I have Roma or San Marzano tomatoes I used them instead of canned. Yes, letting the sausage links and meatballs simmer in the sauce does add flavor. It sounds like a perfect WW meal for both the Purple and Green programs...heck 6 or 9 points will regular spaghetti is not bad at all!! Have to laugh that the Prince is "busier" at home than when at work??? Does that not say something about how he spends his usual work day! LOL!
Gabrielle...glad the driveway works for your "hill" workout! Our driveway is flat!! I'm glad the change up from the TM is a good one...I'm sure mentally it's nice to just to get outside!! WOW, 6:30pm is a late day....hope yesterday was a quieter, shorter day!! Fingers crossed you got a little more time in the sunshine! Yes, unfortunately it seems car issues always come in multiple needs at the same time...timing is just crappy with the uncertainty of work but it has to be done. We knew the need for tires was coming, just didn't want it forced on us. If this was late fall or over the winter we would have let the van sit but this time of year Jason uses the van as his "truck" so we had to do it!

Yes...I will say that even just going to work and coming home I'm still using less gas...I filled the CR-V 2 weeks ago and I'm just below 3/4 of a tank....I will "top it off" today when I shop as the gas price at Sam's is still $1.79 and they expect them to start going back up by the end of the month so figure I might as well snag it when I can!
LOL Gabrielle...by the time this quarantine is over you will be a pro at planning ahead for groceries!! I'm sure the added dietary choices of Ed and the Max's "sporadic" eating adds a wrinkle...I'm sure you could easily get used to planning for vegan but when you aren't sure what Max will eat you will either over plan or run short!!
Yes...Saturday 4/18 works for me and another ZOOM meeting!! Count me in!!
Carole...sorry internet was wonky yesterday....but, yay for a short work day!! Glad it's not your internet but the VPN connection. Heck, I know sometimes when I connect to the virtual desktop while at work I have issues. It's funny how just a couple inches in height & width of the monitor can help and yes, take what you can since you can't have 2 monitors!
We are still waiting for our stimulus check...I have had direct deposit/debit info for all my Turbo Tax filing years so not sure why we haven't gotten ours yet?? But I'm sure it will arrive eventually...there are several at work that have not gotten theirs yet either...I too and putting ours aside until this is all over and won't use it "just because I have it"!
Yes Carole...the way you feel about working from home is the way I would feel.....I don't mind being home on "my terms" either but to be stuck at home for work, life, etc....I would go stir crazy!!
OK....lost track of time, need to get moving here....will finish catching up after work and grocery shopping...may just be getting out at noon and home early if Todd agrees to let me take 1/2 days the next 4 Friday afternoons! See you all later!
Stay safe all....

Good Morning ~ really slept in today! Ugh - had a very restless night, could NOT turn off the racing thoughts of, well, just racing thoughts! Nothing critical, nothing causing a lot of angst, or excitement. Hmmm, not sure why that happened but it does every once in a while. I know, I'm fortunate, I only wake once a night usually, and read my Nook for a bit then usually fall back asleep. Not so much last night. Anyways, of all mornings, THIS morning I can't afford to be a lazy bones - I have an early 8:15 virtual meeting I want to tap into from my professional development course I took for School Leadership. I'm eager to hear what other PA leaders are struggling with since the Prince does NOT share with me.
Bright sunshine outside right now with the white stuff starting AGAIN at Noon. Promises to be a heck of a snowstorm we are in for...

Good morning!
Fasting blood work for me today so I am feeling sorry for myself not having coffee right now. What a habit it is! Lots of Zooms again today (9-4) but then it will be the weekend--yay! This was a tough week Zoom-wise. Last night ended at about 5:30 so that was much better than the night before. Still glad to have my standing desk but I don't use it for all 8-9 hours of Zoom calls...I do sit once in a while. First one today is at 8:00.
Sue: Uggh, sorry that you heard about the duty changes from a coworker...I am sure that your boss felt badly about that. So it sounds like others at your place might be coming back soon? I hope so--it seems that it would ease your mind some? So sorry that you are having to worry about it all. I have not heard about the 'temperature taking" and all of those things here, but we are pretty much closed so that might be why. I did hear (when they were throwing ideas around) and that kids coming back to school would maybe have to have temperatures taken, etc. A lot is still in the air. I hope that today is a calmer day at work for you.
Christine: I hope that your 8:15 call is informative-that is tough when people don't share information! I have tried to set good examples...I do a "Monday Memo" every Sunday for our leaders to keep them in the loop....but some still don't share --kind of frustrating. Hope that you have a good day today.
Carole: I hope that maybe you give the online therapy one more try...and if it isn't working, maybe ask for a new person? My brother actually said it was better than he thought it would be. It might be nice to just have someone hear your thoughts? I hope that you have a good day today and YAHOO for the scale showing a better number!

Shelly: I hope that things calm down work-wise. Being there so many hours, I am sure that the boss' brother really gets to you....you need a break!

Good Morning! I woke up at 12:30am freezing. I had a fever. I got up took some aspirin, got another blanket and tried to sleep. It wasn't a great night. I don't have a fever this morning just tired and worn out. Hope that doesn't come back! I was freezing all day yesterday and went to be early.
I just want to get through this day and start the weekend.
Sue, thanks for starting us. I'm a home body, so I like working from home. It works for me. It's nice to get out sometimes but for the most part I'm happy at home. Will not look forward to going back into the office, that's for sure. I don't know what TN is planning to open up. I listened to the president's briefing yesterday. I hope they don't open business too early. Oh there is nothing like homemade sauce with homegrown tomatoes.
Gabrielle, I emailed you. My email address is lucypuppy2@gmail.com. Thanks for setting up the Zoom call. The time works for me. I look forward to seeing all of you! it is so much better being outside than on a treadmill isn't it? Our driveway is a hill too. it is good to walk up and down, really gets the heart pumping. Yes Steve has a medicare advantage plan for his insurance and he gets a quarterly allotment of over the counter stuff. A blood pressure cuff was one of them. He needs one here at home. WE have a wrist and arm cuff. The wrist is not as accurate as the arm cuff but it tells him when his heart is out of rhythm if he can't tell. We don't have a tread mill anymore but when we did I liked walking outside so much better. Calls until 6:30?! that's a long day. You must not want to talk to anyone when you get off work. I look forward going to Sam's club too.
Christine, 2-4 inches of snow? Really? it's April for goodness sake. I know my sister Diane is loving it. She loves snow. Good for you for ordering sandals. You will get to use them a lot. Your titles for this thread are great! No pressure to come up with something catchy. Ah family drama. Um no you shouldn't reschedule your vacation for a baby shower, she should reschedule her baby shower if she really wants you there. There are too many uncertainties and you rescheduled once. Agreed Lindsey comes first, your family comes first. Your spaghetti sauce sounds wonderful. Worcestershire sauce, hmm that's I might add that next time. I haven't made homemade sauce in a long time. Might be time to. adding the Italian sausage would give it a nice flavor. I use chickpea pasta and regular for the family. I also put it over Zoodles or spaghetti squash. I do the Green plan, kind of,. 9 points isn't bad for a meal. you get a lot of daily points it seems on WW now.
Carole, hope you get your internet issues ironed out. How is this affecting your working from home? My internet was at a slower rate last week. Finally got the high speed back this week and boy can you tell. My work goes so much faster.

Good Morning everyone
Well I have had a hell of a week. Yesterday I scaled 100 rock trucks and that is busy, busy and I'm super tired and the salesman that is our new boss is kind of OCD about how tickets should be printed out. No one does tickets like he wants and lately he's been on my back about not getting phone number on COD orders. I told him WWOW didn't train me to do take numbers on COD tickets, they are paying cash right here to me. He doesn't need peoples phone number's for them and if you ask me it none of his business what peoples name's and phone numbers are. I mean they are coming in to the pit and purchasing rock and taking it home the very same day. When I go to the store they don't ask me my phone number or email address, it's just weird, but he wants it done that way. Now it's just one more thing I have to remember to do. On Tuesday he called me and was ranting and raving about the tickets being printed on Monday and how I was doing it wrong and I had to kindly remind him that I didn't work on Monday. I said Billy remember you cut me back to 4 10 hour day's so it was the guy you had working on Monday that made all the mistakes. He said "well ok I guess if you didn't work I can't blame you", I kindly said maybe he needs to get ahold of Mike the guy who did this and monitor him more closely. I feel like since he's really good friends with WWOW he's doing this on purpose. Who knows but I'm getting sick of the whole thing, BUT I'm to stubborn I'm not going to let him beat me down, it's my new challenge to do it his way and perfect it. OK enough ranting
Today I'm back at the regular plant and Diane now has changed it all up, the ticket printer is now outside so the people can get their tickets which does not make sense at all cause if you have a COD order, you still have to go outside and get the ticket and the method of payment to process the whole transaction, but what ever, I choose to look at the positive side, at least I'm getting my steps in. I think people have truly lost their minds with this COVID situation.

Carole, yes I'm at the awkward but can put in a pony tail stage with my hair right now. I do need to color it but I do that at home. I have a little gray, not too much, just enough to be annoying. sorry for all your snow. Christine knows how you feel. I will be ordering some of the Thieves cleaner than. snow is "poor man's fertilizer? it doesn't kill your grass? I feel for you with just having one monitor. Once you have 2 it's hard to go back. I have 2 good sized monitors at work, just the right size. I'm missing my wrist rest pad. My right had is showing signs of carpel tunnel. I have my brace handy. I'm the same way. I have a desk chair, a used one, and I'm slouching but I try to catch myself and keep my back straight. I can't lean back as the back of the chair is too far for me to reach my key board and mouse. DBIL is a hoarder and he had 2 extra desk chairs. Emilie got one for her room as well. it is better than a kitchen chair.
Carole, they have meds. for your moods that don't affect weight gain. I'm on one. What kind of problems did you have with raised beds? I've never tried one.
Jenny, it's supposed to get up to almost 70 today. You always do get spring first. My allergies have been killing me lately.
Shelly, I agree go home! oh my that is an awfully long day! I hope you get a break soon.
sue, oh that would be unnerving to have part of your job taken away. Maybe they are just trying to relieve your work load since you are answering the phones now. A 1/2 day on Fridays sounds pretty nice actually but I get your apprehension. That was not very professional the way they handled letting you know. No way should a co-worker let you know she was taking over part of your job. I will definitely have to pick up both Thieves and the veggie wash. I haven't had time to look into and read up on anything. I"m in desperate need of an hair cut too. I needed one before I had my surgery but didn't get it. I'm in a pony tail now.
ok I'm not getting any work done, yes Sue there are just too many distractions at home sometimes, so I've got to get busy. have a great day.

Hey ladies... FIT & FUN Friday??? OK... I'm on it! I have managed to move a little more today! I went outside and did a little yard cleanup - some stuff that had fallen or blown... want it picked up before JEff comes back to do more yard work! Going to try to catch up a bit - while I finish my lunch break!
Sun is out beautifully today - but WICKED WINDY STILL... It is getting OLD I can tell you that! As well as out damned internet... I can't have both work and home computers on line at the same time - so it makes it more difficult to hop on here - even during lunch! I have to log out there to log in here... it's just not right! I am so over Verizon and the lack of good internet service... UGH!
OK Rant over - moving on...
Sue: Hmmm, odd that Paul hadn't told you the job change, but it doesn't sound major... maybe they thought with your other new duties this would help? YAY for 1/2 day Fridays for a while!
Oh I still use my Norwex cloths for windows! No cleaner needed... one wash with hot water the other to dry... makes cleaning car windows easy too! I have started using the dryer balls, but no oils on them yet... need to figure out how to do that! The balls didn't come with instructions! LOL
UGH Yeah, sorry about the mask! Bank employees are "supposed" to be wearing them when in the office... I know a few that won't... only when they leave their space to go to the ladies room or break room! Kinda wish the VP would stroll through to see who is NOT wearing them!

Oh yeah... we had that dusting then they SAID Wintry Mix, now they are saying up to 4" here overnight! WHY!?!?
Oh Sue - I hear the next round of stimulus checks will go out for next Wednesday! Hope yours is in that bunch!
OMG This past Wednesday... our bank had over 300 stimulus checks that had to be "manually" dealt with! People have either closed the account - or it was coded as savings and should be checking (and vice versa)... or they have divorced so the account is closed... or they owe us money! OY VEY! When I saw them Wednesday morning I emailed Crystal and Debbie at 10:00 AM, asking if I could help... ummm, nope... Debbie was on top of it! HA! Yeah at THREE PM she called and oh yes, I could use your help! UGH! So from 3 until 4:40, we were BOTH posting the ones that had rejected... I emailed Crystal and said NEVER AGAIN! Either let me help earlier in the day or don't ask at all! That was truly ridiculous!!
Shelly: YAY for ONLY an 11 hour day?? No worries hun... my issues are just "my head"... the sadness - depression - anxiety - anger - resentment... not sure the meds will help... not sure I even want to take them... possible weight gain, like that will help my "moods"?

Hey Sue - thanks for starting us off this morning... like I said Fit & Fun?? Well FUN will come when Zoë arrives later! Kathy is driving her up for her overnight! I will take her home tomorrow and get dinner OUT on hte way home!
YAY Made it through the week - barely... but made it! LOL OK I did it... went outside, like I said.. wandered around the yard for a little bit - then came in and got my morning tea ready. Then when I wanted my second mug of tea, I walked... around the island, the dining room table - into the entryway... got my 250 steps that hour... all in the time it took the water to reheat! I will make another trip around the yard in a little while... the sun feels good, but this darned wind! Oh right, I have to go throw some chemicals in the tub too... and turn it down... in case Zoë wants to get in with us later... we like it HOT, but we turn it down a bit for when she and Eden will be here!
Hope you were able to get out at noon!
Christine: Oh dear... we should have texted - during the night! LOL I too was restless... anxious... oh gosh... maybe I should try to read if it happens tonight! I worry about the screen time/light, making it worse, but maybe I need something just to shut my brain off!! Hope your virtual meeting went well... Hang on - It's Friday!! Sorry you are getting belted again... I shouldn't complain about 4"... but you all know I will !
Gabrielle: UGH Yes, now we can't even have coffee for fasting bloodwork! Oh HOW I MISS My desk!
Well yesterday the phone appointment was OK... he did agree there is a LOT going on for me right now... pandemic or not, it would be a tough time, so he did "validate" my feelings... OH- I forgot it was Friday... didn't WI today! OY VEY!
Jo" Yikes... no - no time to be sick now! Hope it was a one day thing and you can rest this weekend! UGH With my internet issues I have lost time... which I don't think is fair... there are some folks home NOT working being paid, so if I can't work 1/2 day due to internet issues I don't think I should be "docked" but yup - I am ! The next time it happens I will email HR and ask how that is fair?? I told them up front that my internet was sketchy... at best... so when they decided I would work from home 0 they should have known this might happen! Next time maybe I won;t tell anyone... and act like I forgot to clock out! HA! I know... me being petty again...
Jenny: Oh dear... I guess several of us had a rant last night or today! I agree... if I were coming in and buying stone - cash on the barrel head - I wouldn't want you to have my email address! Figure I'd be getting more junk email than I already get! Good luck with those tickets going forward! LOL That the ticket printer is outside... but hey sunshine and warm weather - why not?? LOL Sorry but like you said, getting your steps!
Jo: Mine will take a while to get to the pony tail stage! LOL It actually isn't feeling as awkward as usual either...yet! Nah, the snow - extra moisture (I guess) is good for the lawns... ya' gotta remember we don't have many flowers up yet - so no worries about those! YES! You know what I mean... just these few weeks of standing at a different height desk, or sitting on the bar stool - is just not the same! So when I feel twinges in my leg, I begin to worry!
May I ask what med you are on?? Oh - well - I think the biggest problem with the raised beds was they were not raised enough?? But I am not the "gardener" in the family! LOL (Neither is my DH - just sayin')

Afternoon all...Todd approved my 1/2 days for the next 4 Fridays so it's a nice jump start on the weekend. I don't mind working the morning as I usually awake by 6:15 and struggle to go back to sleep for an extra hour or so on the weekends so this way I can "spread out the fun" and not have to just sit in the house for one whole day. Got to Sam's for gas and then Giant for some wine...only grocery stores have wine/beer around here, not Walmart or Target so I made a quick stop.
Giant is only letting so many people in at a time....I was the only one in line when I got there and I was able to go into the cart area and the guy let me right in and marked something on a clipboard...as I went into the store itself I heard someone say "two"....didn't know what it was until I left and the girl on the exit ONLY end said over a walkie talkie "one"....guess that's how they are keeping track of the people in the store!
Walmart is also limiting the number of people in the store and two people tried to go in the "exit" door and the person in the cart area sent them out and back in the "enter" door....they were pi$$ed but there was a huge sign that said "enter this way" with a big arrow!! Apparently the rules didn't apply to these people! Was able to find everything I needed this trip....last time there were no eggs. I was going to get some ground beef for burgers on the grill this weekend but they didn't have any fresh ground, just those "chub packs" and they make terrible burgers...not sure why but I've tried a couple times and they flame up and just aren't good so will pull out some pulled pork from the freezer to use up the rest of the rolls I have.
After I got home, got everything put away, changed my clothes, filled all the diffusers and got them going and made some guacamole....I had a couple tomatoes that were ready to "go past" and 2 avocados that needed to be used so it sounded yummy!! And....IT WAS!! Was a nice snack and not too bad for me!! Used whole grain scoops and counted out a serving so I didn't just finish the entire bowl...which I could have...it's a yummy batch! Will have more for tomorrow and Sunday!!
Carole...won't the company replace the slider...heck, it's only a year old!! I hope to put a slider off the dining room or sitting area in the addition onto a nice deck/patio. Our entire house, except the bedrooms that have been redone a couple times as someone new moved into them, is pretty much the same as it was when we took out all the wall paper and repainted everything when we moved in in 1987....yes, we are in DIRE NEED of a facelift!
Carole...can't believe that there has been no recognition for those working from home...that's just wrong....I will say that Sheridan is good about appreciating everyone regardless of what they do as we all make the process work!! Yes, it was nice to have the lunch yesterday but believe it or not several people were complaining that it didn't include a drink or that their bag was missing mayo....really people! We have mayo, ketchup and mustard in the cafe so just grab some and eat! I was just glad I didn't have to pack a lunch!! I even got to bring 2 extras home....Jason took one for lunch today and will likely have the other over the weekend!

Carole...glad the doctor prescribed something for you and the grief counselor is a good idea....I have done many, many years of counseling over the last 35+ years and it really does help if you go into it open minded and try NOT to think anyone is judging...I will admit to feeling "attacked" at times but if you really open yourself up to the opportunity, it works well to help you sort through and deal with many feelings/emotions. Many counselors are not in favor of using meds to not deal with feelings and issues but they also know that sometimes they are needed for a period of time to get started to uncover "what is eating at you"! Give a chance.... I will say weight gain is a common side effect of anxiety/depression meds but I was on them for many, many years and they did not make me gain weight so hopefully that will be a side effect you don't get! Yes, take it.....it's only temporary and might just get you through all of this in a much better state of mind.
Yes...I have heard of adding baking soda with the Thieves for BR scrub....will need to find the recipe and see if it handles the tub. I heard the dish washer soap does great on toilets so I have added that to my next month's order....the fruit and veggie soak is next on my list. We did try that at a make and take one time and I was amazed the color of the broccoli from the store before and after....it was bright green and that waxy kind of look was gone! They say that's really concentrated too!
Shelly....glad you finally got to leave a little earlier yesterday and was able to come home and make a nice dinner!! Hope the snow misses you! I will say this morning when I got up we had no frost but as I got down the hill and closer to Rte 216 the frost was really thick!! Could have hurt the tender plants is anyone had put them out too soon....thankfully Jason only has the ones that don't mind a frost. I'm sure there was a frost down at the lot. We sit up high on the hill and have a breeze so often we have none but in town more they are covered!
I'm hoping that the shift of purchasing stuff to Sherry is just that...getting it all in one place instead of divided between two of us....I think at times Sherry doesn't have enough to do so maybe by giving this back to her there will be a new plan for me. Everything seemed normal today and Todd reassured me yesterday that he had heard of no more furloughs at this time so fingers crossed. If not, we'll just cross that bridge if and when it comes.
All those of you dealing with snow...I'll have to share the picture Hannah sent me yesterday....she got about 6" of "good snow" and the boys had a blast...they built a fort, a snowman and just had a great day!! It's suppose to get warm the next couple days so it won't last but at least the boys had a great distraction and lots of "quarantine fun"!
