I wonder when the finger pointing & accusations will start, blaming the Democrats for the valet working in the WH . ? Surely its not because Trump & staff fault even tho they laugh off the PPE requirements in the WH & those around the President.

i just read a washington post headline (admittedly didn't read the article yet) that said even in mid-pandemic, trump plans to try and dismantle obamacare. he is definitely trying to blow things up seemingly having an inkling he won't get a 2nd chance next term. this is precisely why it would be dangerous for someone like him to have a 2nd term. he would know he's got nothing to lose and would completely destroy our country.

I agree that if he gets back into office absolutely nothing will hold him back. His path of destruction will make Sherman's march to the sea look like a picnic in the park. He is dangerous now, and will be even more so if he gets re-elected.

The Department of Justice is dropping Mike Flynn's criminal case. There is no such thing as justice under this administration.

We can beat trump His war against Social Security in his budget and the suit against Obamacare will sink him I so hope you are right. It makes logical sense, but there is nothing logical in the way his supporters think. We just have to hope there are enough sane people left on the fringes to make a difference.

The Department of Justice is dropping Mike Flynn's criminal case. which comes as a shock to no one. jabba the hut must have secrets trump has threatened to expose. or he gets paid under the table very handsomely. something is not right there and everyone knows it.

I just read in the WSJ that hospitals are in the dark about Remdesciver (sp?) supplies. The supply and allocation has been taken over by the government and no one knows how or where it is being distributed. WSJ said they contacted the government and got no response. Do you think they're going to send it to Red States only? They would if they could get away with it, IMO.
WSJ editorial pages are pro-Trump all the way, but the actual reporting is pretty accurate, or at least more balanced that one might think it would be.

"Worst unemployment rate since the Great Depression" -- CNN headline on website
But Jared said things were going to be "rocking" by July. Surely Jared can't possibly be wrong! Maybe he meant this boat we're all in is going to be rocking so hard it's likely to tip over.
I'm very concerned that because of the economy states (like mine) are rushing too fast to reopen, and it's going to be a much harder price to pay the second time around. I do hope that's not the case. I see so many posts from people talking about how we need to just throw the doors open both for the economy and also to develop herd immunity. I understand people need paychecks, and developing herd immunity in theory sounds great. What I think many of these people don't stop to think about (at least I hope they're just not thinking about it instead of they just don't care) is that in order to develop herd immunity we have to be willing to accept the deaths of many, especially the older and weaker among us. I don't see any of these people posting just who among their loved ones they are willing to sacrifice in order to achieve this; and, to be honest the people I've seen making these posts are ones that are younger and healthier and thus feel they personally are least likely to be among the ones culled from the herd.

On a purely selfish level, I am so tired of being classed with the vulnerable population. The message seems to be: you will never leave your house again. DH and I are in that category by age, no health problems. Maybe by Phase Four, whenever that will be.

Now, that a Pence staffer has tested positive for the virus, do you think the WH will "get it" that maybe masks & social distancing are the way to go??!! Pence still flew to Iowa after learning of the positive test today. Lordy Lordy.
ND is another state who is reopening too soon. Our number are consistently going up each day, but opening we are. People around here have also put their masks aside for the most part. We are still wearing ours, but others seem to think the danger is over. Around Memorial Day, I think they will be in for a huge surprise.
Just worries me so much, these obstinate people who think the laws don't apply to them & walk around with that attitude & with guns.

Linda, I don't think they'll "get it." They are too blinded by their loyalty to the idiot in the WH. They've had plenty of opportunities to be role models in wearing a mask and keeping social distance, but no, they think that's just for the rest of us. People see their blatant disregard for the recommendations of science, and so they think they don't have to follow the guidelines either. It really worries me that we are going to have to pay a terrible cost for this blatant disregard of what should be simple guidelines. I do understand the economic cost, and I do understand people need paychecks. Unemployment benefits are not coming through on schedule for many, and it's not enough to keep them afloat even if it was. But simply wearing masks, keeping social distance, etc. are things we all can and should do, but they watch this administration and believe that there's no need to do that. Why people continue to put their faith in this inept (putting it mildly) administration is beyond me, but they do. They blindly follow this idiot, and think that somehow wearing a mask and not taking unnecessary chances makes them appear "weak and foolish." When in reality it is just the opposite.
Sheer ignorance, blatant willful ignorance, may be the most dangerous thing we face.
