Hair salons are opening back up here on Tuesday. I’m planning on calling my stylist later in the week to see how things are going to be in his salon. I’d like to get my haircut in the next few weeks. I’m ready.

My stylist called me today to offer me an appointment. I got one for June12. That will allow my hair to grow out a bit where I hacked it a few weeks ago. Went over all the precautions with me, so they’re confident things will go well. Wait in car, mask, hand sanitizer, limit to client only without accompanying family member, no extra stuff to be brought inside. Reasonable. Our state numbers are continuing to drop so things are loosening up a bit.

We just opened (restaurants for dine in, salons, tattoo parlors and gyms) today in New Mexico. I have a hair appointment for about mid-month.

Monday, if it doesn't rain I will meet a friend who is driving through the state for brunch at a restaurant that is doing outside dining. Inside dining isn't going to open up until June 20th. One of my local friends has a birthday on July 3rd and I'm still debating about going to an inside restaurant to celebrate with her.

Dh and I still have no desire to eat at a restaurant in the near future. It just doesn't seem like it would be all that relaxing and enjoyable. I'm waiting to get input from others, but most of our friends and family have the same inclination as we do. We'll continue to do take out to support the restaurants.

Governor here in Michigan opened everything but said salons, gyms and theaters still closed.
It's ok with us as I don't feel comfortable going in to have my hair done yet as we are 82 and still staying in, really not around many people right now.

none of our salons are open yet. i wouldn't feel comfortable yet either. as it is i'm having a hard time deciding on when we will do playdates for the kids even after the lockdown is lifted. i still feel nervous about all of it. but i do miss my buddies (their friends' parents).

Our salons are still closed. The occasional rebel barber opens up in defiance and promptly gets shut down but the vast majority are complying.
I have decided to forego coloring my hair. Surprisingly, I am actually enjoying watching the multiple shades of silver/gray hair coming in and am getting a sense of freedom from the thought of not having to sit through that every-six-week root touch-up appointment. I'm not one who sees a salon appointment as pampering. Many do, but I saw it as a necessary evil but now it doesn't seem as necessary as it seemed four months ago. A good haircut is a necessity but the coloring? At this point I have to say no.

I'm still mildly apprehensive about Ron and I going to get our eyes checked/glasses updated on the 12th. If it weren't for my drivers licence renewal in July, I'd skip it because I can see fine to drive, no issues but I do wear glasses for reading. I have fuzzy vision at long ranges, but for driving I've never noticed an issue, but the eye exam machine might be a different story.

I have an eye appointment set for the end of June. I do plan on going as my left eye has been feeling gummy. That is the eye that I have cataracts in and I think this just may be a sign they're getting worse.

Here in NJ:
Outdoor dining and indoor retail will reopen on Monday, June 15.
Hair and nail salons and barber shops will reopen on Monday, June 22.
Details of the hygiene and social distancing regs will be released this week, so the businesses have time to "come up to code".

my girls have a dentist appointment for a regular checkup on thursday june 4. the office has already rescheduled it from may 18, but i'm thinking of rescheduling again, mostly out of the issue of being pressed for time. they aren't done with school yet and our busy time at work isn't over. i also doubt i'd feel comfortable (nor allowed) being in the waiting room so i'd really just be sitting out on street corner outside til each is done.

Hair salons have opened here in Cali. I am not in a rush and will wait for my stylist to get in touch. My hair has grown out fine, I'm OK with the dark roots; I've often wondered what my natural color is - it's been so many years since I've seen it.
