Yesterday I joined our virtual meeting with the coach and group I usually do every Wednesday afternoon. I was surprised that there were only five of us that joined the meeting with our coach along with the two ladies that weigh us in when we have the meeting in the classroom at our local college. Our class room classes always had over 20 people.
Our coach runs an excellent meeting and we have good discussions during our on-line meetings same as we did in class.
Yesterday, I filled out a lengthy questionnaire at the end which included questions about class and virtual meetings, I would like to see both offered in case I can't get to class, just my personal preference.
I wondered how many people are still joining classes on-line, if not, how are you dealing with weight issues?
What are your thoughts on future WW classes?

I attend a well attended meeting at the studio. Our VM started out pretty good (between 20-25 people) but the last few weeks we have been lucky to have 10-13. We still have good conversations and our coach is amazing, but I do miss everyone.
I do think the VM will stay. I'm not sure if I want to pay $44 a month for them (or whatever the cost currently is). I like the interaction at the studio and I like being with people! I think I will slip more if I have to rely on myself to WI and record it.

This past Monday we had about 15 people including the coach and two guides. I like the meetings. I think they are basically the same as the in-person meetings, although seeing people in person is better. As of now I won't be going back to in-person meetings until there is a vaccine that we know will work and better treatment. I'm 73 and think my husband and myself are too much at a risk for having problems if we catch the virus.

I attended a virtual meeting this morning. It wasn’t my usual meeting but my usual coach. I think there were only 5 members present. I do miss our regular meetings. The virtual meeting does keep me accountable with WI.

Bbbearsmom,
You bring up a good point about being in the classroom with other people, we are 82 and I feel the same way, thanks! 😊

I received an email from Mindy a short time ago. It does look like they are planning to open up the studios again, no timetable yet.
I have attended the VM, my coach is still as much fun as usual. But there are fewer attendees as the weeks go on.
Personally I’m looking forward to studio workshops again, mask in place social distancing too. I miss so many of the regular members. I’m 67, pre-diabetic and on bp meds.
I’m wondering if they would consider a studio/zoom workshop. You could either go to the meeting or attend virtually.
If they continue VM only I’d probably just do online only.

Healthyjoy,
At the end of our virtual meeting I filled out the long questionnaire and checked the one with both studio and VM, I definitely would like that option as well.😄
I always call the 800-651-6000 number to buy all my passes to class instead of on-line as many times they will help you save money on your pass. Normal pass is $45 a month and they keep billing your credit card that amount unless you call or buy on-line, I usually get a new pass for $30 just by calling, big savings for me. My current pass is up the 3rd of June so I will call the 2nd or 3rd to set up a new pass. Two months ago when I called she gave me two months free, worth the call for me. 😃

I appreciate the Zoom meetings but i really am beginning to miss a brick and mortar, flesh and blood people meeting. It also sucks having to order from the WW website every few weeks. Our first Zoom meeting had 48 participants, last week we were down to 32. Of course, the weather has gotten better - but Zoom is just so yucky. The metallic sound, grainy images, more sitting in front of a screen -- I always leave the meeting with a headache.

Did you have to adjust your account setting so they wouldn’t charge your account? I agree it would be worth the call.

Healthyjoy,
I told her I needed her help to get a better price because money was tight right now, how could she help me. Right now they don't like hearing you may have to cancel. The ladies that answer calls are very accommodating. They were changing what they offered every Tuesday before the pandemic but now they have had a offer with buy so many months, get so many months free, a real good deal, I believe because they are afraid of losing business.
A couple times I paid the monthly fee of $45, called when I used two weeks and when I renewed I asked if she would refund that $45 and they did, I got four free weeks!
I highly recommend making that phone call to renew, be a wheeler dealer! 😄

Hi there - I rejoined WW and am using the VM and love them. I have found some good meetings at other centers and prefer them to going to my local center. The time savings alone is worth it for me, as making an in-person meeting is about a 2 hour commitment between travel and the meeting itself. Online, it’s 30-ish minutes and I can reasonably do more than one a week. If they discontinued the VM entirely, I will go back to online only. I hope they are here to stay, at least as an option. Oh, and I’m down 14 pounds in 4 weeks - love that!

Ringydingy6,
Cool boardname!😄 WTG (way to go) on the 14 pound loss! 😁 What is your secret to losing so much? Good to hear you like the virtual meetings as I do. KOKO (keep on keeping on)! Be safe 🇺🇸

I guess I’m an outlier, because I really don’t like the virtual meetings. Ours is a combined one with another leader/coach that I really don’t care for. They split the meeting, but I’m not enjoying it. Part of it may be on me as I don’t use the audio video component on my phone....just log in and listen. If they don’t go back to in person meetings I may just save some money and do online. I’m struggling to lose, my body seems to be in maintenance mode lately. Zoom meetings not very motivational. Maybe I’ll look into a different group...

mac, thank you! I have the luxury of working from home and it is super easy to plan low point meals right now. I’m also drinking a lot of water and have increased my activity. I know I will not always lose this fast, but for now, it is motivating. debsback, I hear you on the leader making all the difference. A great VM workshop is Rene from Gretna, LA. She is active on Connect and invited anyone to come join her meetings. She does an amazing job, it’s well-facilitated and fun, and seems to be free from technical issues (knock on wood!). I’m a regular there even though I live in Iowa! :-)
