Morning all....it's too early on a Sunday for both Jason and I but we are up and getting ready to leave for Colton's first game of the day...need to be at the first game as this is bracket play and if you lose you are done...if you win you move on. Last week they lost 12-11 in extra innings in the first game so even though they won both like they did last weekend there are no guarantees.
Got a "lunch box" packed with some veggies, cheese sticks and plenty of seltzer!! Got my sunscreen so ready for the day!!
If they win and the 2nd game follows shortly after the first we will stay for the 2nd one but if it is too long of a wait we will head home...Jason had promised to help a friend move furniture out of their bedroom so their new carpet can be install tomorrow so he needs to be back to do that!! We likely be back home early afternoon so I will have time to prep a couple salads for tomorrow and another day!!
Hope everyone has a quiet but fun Father's Day with whatever you have planned for the day!! See you all when I get back!

Good morning Sue - Thanks for starting us off before you head out to the ball field! Remember to get up and s-t-r-e-t-c-h every now and again - take it easy on your back! Good luck to Colton and his teammates!
Up early here this morning - need to get more things done for today... I petered out late yesterday afternoon! LOL So I am up early to enjoy some quiet time before the day begins!
Never did get my "financial" stuff done Friday or yesterday - sure it won't happen today/tonight either, so I may try to get some figures off the computer this morning before I have to get moving.
Let me refill my coffee and catch up here 1st! ♥

Gabrielle: Hope your "super long" run went well... good for you continuing to train - and hopefully the marathon WILL happen! OY VEY, heading out at 4 AM... what devotion!! Oh so you are "off" except to take the Zoom calls?? Yes a very weird year... even with upcoming vacation in July, I feel like we can't even make plans! I guess this WILL be "the year" for a true "stay-cation"!
We had a NICE T-Storm come through last night. It knocked out TV but I didn't care... I went out on the back porch to "watch" for a bit. Sun is shining this morning - and 7:20 AM, it is 65 degrees! Looks to be a great day ahead!! Hmmm, well actually Miss Zoë was "in a mood" yesterday morning! LOL Lack of sleep I assume. She bounced back though after about 30 minutes in the (cold) pool! She wanted to go in - and yes I let Eden get in Friday morning - so let Zoë go in yesterday. Only difference was I had to get in WITH Zoë! LOL Eden was on her own! (I was on the poo deck, but not in the water)! Anyway... it was fun to be in with (only) her... I sure got my WO in! I was EXHAUSTED when we got out... about minutes for me "walking" "running" "jumping" and "lifting" all while in the water! It took a lot out of me - but have to admit it was fun!
Haircut went OK... had to sit outside until my turn - wore my mask - feels like she didn't take much off, but I can't ever really tell until I wash it and dry it myself - later this morning! Made another appointment for 4 weeks.
I will start looking for another refrigerator this week - still trying to decide "settle" for the big one, or settle on stainless... might make Ken make that decision!
Thank you - yes... I need to stop and think about what I DO have in my life, not what I am missing all the time. Nothing will bring Matt back, and I need to just think about the family I DO still have here. I also need to let go of some of the "resentment" of my sisters... and the fact they come and enjoy the pool while Ken and I do all the work! Tim and Tracy do lend a hand from time to time... so I need to just STOP focusing on that and be grateful that Ken and I are ABLE to do it!!
What do you have planned for Ed today?? Will the boys come home? Will you include your DM?? Whatever you have planned - I hope you enjoy the time with whoever can be there ♥
YES! Our salons can reopen Monday... I will make some calls - see when we can get in for pedicures! I will also do a manicure, not sure if Tracy will or not... hoping we can get in this week, before we head to Boston! JUST BECAUSE!! LOL Yes, I have been saying that all along - they always wear masks and gloves, so they should have been open weeks ago!

Christine: Yup, humor DH, as we all have to from time to time! That's what I want... a place on my porch to be able to just take my computer and go sit! Yikes! Colby Girl going all protective on you! LOL Bet the cat never came back! OK So no plans... what did you end up doing?? LOL YAY for the kayaking Friday... sounds awesome!! Being on the water must be SOOOOO relaxing and peaceful.
OH no... have you heard from Dmitri? Sounds like a story there!
Yes, Friday I let Eden swim while I vacuumed the pool - then after lunch Tracy & I got in with her. We invited my sister, but she came up only to "watch".
Speaking of my sister... she was supposed to go back to work July 6, after TKR, but she has decided not to! She is retiring! She will be 67 next week, and has just decided she likes being home - doesn't want to deal with the pizza shop - OR training to be a cashier - she just likes being HOME! Her knee is doing great... PT is over - she walking, driving, no pain... but she just doesn't want to go back to work! I can't blame her... wish I could just DO IT... but I am still "young"
I have masks in my work bag - my purse - my car.... never leave home without one! LOL I don't mind wearing it - just another "fact of life" right now!
Our dishwasher was like that - change the front panel... gosh our dishwashers NEVER last that long! I am almost in need of replacing this one AGAIN - seems like we just did it! I told Ken last night, I will look to replace it BEFORE it breaks down - so we are not trying to buy one "quickly" again! I am leaning towards stainless... just afraid my OCD won't "let" me swap them out one at a time! LOL Once i Have one stainless, I am afraid I won't be happy until they all match! Wondering about looking for a "deal" if we buy the whole package!!
OH A Disney Party... sounds like fun! Can't wait to hear all about it!!
Sue: YAY for your massage!! Bet it felt great.
Jo: Glad you went to bed early after the MRI, I would imagine how mentally exhausted you must have been. Umm, I would have done take out for dinner though! OK I guess I am not sure what a fatty liver means... but our Tim was actually born with an enlarged liver... they monitored it very closely the first year, as it slowly lost size, as he grew to accommodate it. They never did tell us what caused it! Back then I didn't ask a lot of questions!
YA FOR RENEWED MOTIVATION - even if it's not the best way to get motivated!
The family will be here for a cook out today. Pool and hot tub will be open... birthday cake for my sister and cheesecake for Kathy's BD, and (of course) my sister will bring yet ANOTHER dessert - ice cream cake - for Father's Day... because we certainly cannot celebrate ANYTHING without a damned cake!
I emailed the landscaper... told him if we are on the bottom of his list, to just tell me so. If I know they aren't coming until late summer - I won't have my hopes up - so I won't feel so let down! We'll see... Ahh, around here we do not have places we can just go BUY any appliances! Everything has to be ordered! Another reason to sell and move I guess!
Tracy's surgery is for her arm... where she fell against the wall several years ago - and it has not gotten "better" - she has still been dealing with some pain - and loss of use... Workman's Comp finally said they wanted a decision about it - so the Dr will operate. Hoping this is the end of this ordeal!
Sue: So glad you were feeling so good after the massage... and WOO HOO for another one scheduled!!
LOL Truth be told - I kinda hope we can NOT go to the surgical building Thursday! LOL I'd prefer Ken just drop her off, and I just stay at the hotel awaiting the call to pick her up! Easier to wait in the hotel suite than the waiting room! But that's just between "us", K' I won't tell Tracy I don't want to go! LOL

Yes, trying to type and concentrate didn't go so well with Tracy & Eden both outside with me - but oh well... it was nice to have Eden here. Sometimes it is nice to have them 1on1.
Yup, I think all these celebrations - so close together - is part of my "mood"... but life goes on - I need to get that memo from my head to my heart!
LOL Yes, people get our banks confused all the time. Personally I think OUR bank is going overboard with the reopening plans!
Yes, I kept this crate of slate - especially for YOU! Right now it's a milk crate full - very heavy but won't take up much "space" in the car! It will need cleaning - been crated for a long time! Ken was going to throw it in the dumpster - when the roofers were done - but I said NO That's for Sue! LOL
Thankfully I have just the one cow lick... oh and yes the bangs were past the "awkward" stage, but still not staying out of my face - especially with the heat/humidity... my hair is always the issue! It just goes FLAT!
Hmmm, didn't see a "charcoal" stainless option - will have to check it out. Need to go to a larger Lowe's, the one about an hour away doesn't have many on display to look at!

Sue: Yes, an early start to your day - but since you won't be "out" all day - you can relax this afternoon. Hopefully you are at the ball field and games are ready to start! GOOD LUCK TO COLTON!
I will prep a salad for tomorrow, with the leftovers from last week - then do up fresh tomorrow for the next 2 days... short week (again) for me this week! YAY! Starting next week I have to work FULL WEEKS - UGH - until my July vacation!
OK Time to get moving here today - still need to put the potato salad together, and get some dishes done before folks arrive... and of course shower and get dressed - I am not worrying about setting up the patio - figure when people get here they can put cushions out if they want to sit! LOL
Going to be a tough WW day - but will make sure to get plenty of water and seltzer into my day - and the moving will help a bit too! Lots of steps from the kitchen to the patio and back again!
Hoping you all "Celebrate" the Dads in your lives today - but also can have some "you" time as well. ♥hugs♥

Good Morning ~ I dragged myself up early and took a shower just to feel looser and not so stiff! I also wanted to hit the local bakery extra early today for Father's Day and pick up some fresh doughnuts for Gary for Father's Day - a treat he loves! And because I've been trying to eat healthier around here we have NOT had these fresh doughnuts in the house LOL When I arrived at the bakery (7:00 am) there was a line out the door - mostly for Social Distancing but sigh, also because a LOT of people had the same idea LOL Anyways, took half an hour - but I accomplished the mission. And DH did appreciate it! 82 degrees outside and it's only 9:15) but I am NOT complaining! I would head down to the Beaches but I'm sure hordes of folks will be doing the same. It's still a thought. Lindsey is home! She arrived yesterday afternoon, and was a bit 'nervous' for her job interview at a local Brewery for waitress - did I mention here she was called almost immediately once she submitted that online application last week? LOL Anyways, she had a scheduled 3:00 interview in-person...and landed the job!! LOL YAY Linds! I'm laughing as she has NO waitress experience but I suppose 6 years of customer service and Shift Supervisor leadership at Tim Horton's helped her land this job - she's just thrown for a loop as she didn't really expect to get it since it's a popular place BUT, since she assured them she is not Seasonal Help as she is living here for Grad school, they were glad to have her on board. We also had our evening Disney Party on our deck! Ben came over too, we ordered Take-Out from a local tavern (I love their Steak salad) then Linds began mixing drinks from Disney's Around the World theme lol She even had a playlist of music from Walt Disney World theme parks and we had such fun guessing what attraction and Park songs were from...we played Trivia games and just reminisced funny stories from our Disney adventures...also, yes, we wore Minnie Ears - Linds had the Graduation ears (actually Carly's from when we went her Grad year), and I had cute purple polka dot bow ears. All fun. Oh, and the drinks were good - we agreed Linds has a future as a bartender LOL

Once things quieted down last night Linds shared with me, "Since I got this new job and everything is changing, maybe I will move back home sooner than planned"....I just smiled. Hmmm...didn't want to gloat, but c'mon Girls, ya know "Mama Knows..." lol just saying...I think she's realizing most of her friends at Slippery Rock are also slowly moving out and either going back home or to new places... Sue - I agree, with it being Father's Day today and well, with our own worlds being topsy turvy and so unsure and conflicting, we look to what advice or solace our fathers may have offered - I lost my father in 2005 and it's just strange - but I share with my Girls all the time fond memories of his loud laugh, fun ways, and yes, let's not forget talent in GOLF - I'm sure there are good, strong messages you recall your father offering you. And it can be comforting ♥ Hoping today is good day with Family and Baseball!! Let us know how Colton plays - geesh, they are getting older and I imagine their level of game is even more exciting. Sounds like you had a good day to prepare fresh salads and plan lunches for upcoming week. Wow, it's been 5 weeks? That doesn't sound so long ago I smiled when you said this new building/office you will be covering has REAL office chairs and not just old tossed aside ones such as in the Handwork area lol - yep, I get it. In fact, MY office chair was dug out of the basement storage - but not making waves...yet...lol Carole - you should have beautiful weather for a POOL DAY!! YAY!!! Relax, enjoy the family...I'm sure your sisters do appreciate in their hearts (but do not even THINK to say it aloud) that they can just assume they are included. Good for your DS retiring!! I mean, really, can't blame her! My friend Cheryl misses work-work but does not regret taking retirement at 67. I'm so glad Tracy's surgery is a 'go' so far - yes, I agree, almost secretly hope patients are NOT permitted extra guests in a waiting room due to COVID restrictions (hee hee) - no guilt! ♥

Gabrielle - I think you mentioned today both Boys are coming over? Oh I hope so! ENJOY the beautiful weather you are finally getting - 100 degrees is SO different for you compared to Sue and I LOL Yep, just as Sue described, it is HOT and HUMID - days like this I am so thankful we have central AC just to be comfortable...and breathe easier...even the Pup stays inside on 'her vent' - ColbyGirl claimed the kitchen floor vent years ago as her spot to lay on top for cool AC air blasts. Dinner tonight here will be Pulled Pork w/Barbecue sauce, a large tossed salad and probably side dish of cold pasta salad. I usually pass on the pasta salad but the family likes it - not sure if Carly will be here for dinner as Ben asked her to join him at his father's family gathering for Father's Day - no problem! Gary doesn't mind sharing - he doesn't like a 'fuss' made over him for any holiday or birthday. He just loves knowing his Girls are home or near by.
Jo - that is wonderful news!!! I am so relieved for you that the physician so quickly offered the reading of the MRI results! WOW! So yes, stay committed here. You can do this!! I incorporate a lot of BLE philosophy to my daily Plan too - but any plan is better than doing nothing! Right? Oh, I bet you are counting down to your Family Vacation - is it July 4 or the week after you all go up to Lake Erie??
Jenny - I'm still amazed WWOW apologized! Wow!! And good for you accepting her apology and treating her with respect and kindness - good to know you can laugh with her! WHAT a huge relief for you...and I'm sure her too. What plans do you have for today? Our county will be turning Green next Friday but really this only means 50% capacity for indoor restaurants, gyms, and salons all with appointments/reservations only. I really want a Pedi!! Hoping next week to land an appointment...
Lisa - It's sweet you make it a point to honor your DFIL today - Do the kids do anything for Greg? It's so different when they are all adults, I'm sure. How's your leg/muscle feeling lately? Yesterday I took a LONG walk and feel a little stiff, but also was proud of myself I could do it! I plan to get back out tomorrow morning before work! I do much much better without taking Colby with me as she has become 'a chore' to take lol She tires very easily so I think IF I take her I would drop her back off at the house then continue on my own way - This week I'm calling our local Bike Shops again to see if they are getting an inventory yet of new models or hybrid bikes. Carly and I are still very interested.
Okay, gotta get moving here - want to finish up the laundry and dash to grocer for last minute recipe items -
Oh, did I mention, I did have a relaxing day yesterday - but a LOT was going on with both Girls coming and going and getting some household chores done, and cleaning the deck again. Carly and I ran several errands during a busy Saturday, but boy are we glad we got a lot accomplished! We bought local produce from Farmer's Market, stopped at Lowe's for more bags of garden stones, bought a few groceries, and dropped off bills at the Post Office. Today is MUCH more relaxing. One quick errand and I'm calling it a day!

Good morning!
Happy Father's Day to the men in your houses....another "odd", distanced celebration but a celebration just the same! Another hot day here, but the breeze feels nice for now. Yesterday's run was SO hard--mostly due to the heat. I was so glad to have someone with me for the last part of it. It is going to take a while to adjust to the heat. One of the trail runners posted that a woman (by herself hiking) came back from her hike alone yesterday and collapsed in the parking lot. They had to call the paramedics and she had heat stroke. A reminder to NOT be out there on your own and to have plenty of water---thank goodness she was around people in the parking lot. Hope that she is okay..... So, I got my pedicure but they didn't have me scheduled for a manicure I think that the "online Facebook" scheduling thing messed it up--meaning that I didn't do it right. I am going in on Monday afternoon to finish it up. It was good to see them and they were SO happy to be back.
Sue: Thanks for starting us off today and enjoy that baseball game! Wow, the last one was so close! Hope that the boys do well. It's good to hear of you planning your lunches and getting prepped for a more normal work week--you know that we all hope that this all leads to something more permanent for you. In the meantime, congratulations on your resilience with all of this--you are a strong, focused woman! So glad that you had your massage and paint night. I have only have one massage in my life, but I hear that they are wonderful and do think about it. Maybe some day! I hope that you have a great day--I am sure that the girls will reach out to Jason to make sure he remembers what a great dad he is!

Christine: I loved reading about the kayaking--and the photos on FB were so pretty! How great to live so close to the water and have that available. So, one of the ladies I run with kayaks a lot and I can not believe how great her abdominal muscles/core area are---it is GREAT exercise--good for your back muscles too. An added bonus to the beauty--doing something you enjoy! Yay for the long walk too. Wow, I feel like we are BORING people when I read about your Disney party--how fun! No wonder Linds is going to move home (can I move in too? LOL). So glad that she has the waitressing job to look forward to as well--I know that DH will be glad to have her home as well. So, I took my car in for a service last week and they found the beginnings of a rodent next under the wheel well!!! The mechanic said, "You need to get a cat." We have noticed a lot more rodents outside since we decided to not replace our last cat and DH is actually thinking about it...we might get two from the shelter (I am not fond of kittens, but love getting a "teenaged" cat). It will take some training with the dogs though---Abby is used to a cat but Milo will be a maniac....so, maybe that stray cat could be helpful to you? Speaking of rodents, how are those stakes you got for the yard working? DH and I were talking about that. So glad that you have one errand and then can stay home...enjoy!
Carole: I love that you have one of the girls at a time so that they get their "special" time with grandma See? You found exercise that you enjoy--taking Zoe in the pool! Nice! I hadn't heard of the darker stainless that Sue spoke of either, but (many years ago), we had "ivory" appliances in our kitchen. When we made it white about 9 years ago we switched to stainless and I love it. It really looks clean and bright. Maybe you can look at some pictures of kitchens to see what you think? No matter what, I hope that it goes better next time. Glad that you reached out to the landscaper to find out where things are...hope that you are on the short list. Regarding work, yes, Zoom calls AND possibly opening my school which will be hours of phone calls and Zoom calls....SOOOO...it is what it is. Hope to take some Fridays in July maybe. I have to admit, I am pretty exhausted. Saturday is the only "work free" day since Sunday afternoons I send out "Monday Memos", etc. and I need some time off. At least I won't have to dress up, LOL. Hope that you have a WONDERFUL day and enjoy the outdoors and family. Oh, BTW, yahoo for your sister! I actually expect that some employees will come to the conclusion, that they don't want to come back. We will see!

Jo: So glad to hear that you got your MRI results so quickly---and that it was news that you can work with! Doesn't it feel like a "fresh start"? Love your focus and you know we are here to support you. Thanks for asking about DS20. He and I speak almost every day....but, when he moved out, he and DH had had a disagreement so they are still nursing that...actually they are both stubborn and neither one is willing to talk first. Both of them ask me how the other one is doing, LOL. DS20 is planning to come over this evening. They will work it out. DS20 might have to move home anyway--his job is ending on Monday (tomorrow) and he is starting classes in August--might need to rely on us again to help out. Hope that you have a good day--good job planning your healthy meals for the week!
Hello to Jenny, Shelly, Lisa, Nadine, and all who follow. Need to make my grocery list and plan a few dinners for the week. I am going to be cleaning today too so that I feel better when folks come over. I am not having my mom come since DS20 can't even get here until 7:20 pm or so...she leaves by then. Her birthday is on Friday (June 26th) so we will do something then...she'll be 79! Talk to you all later!

Good morning! Had an uneventfull day yesterday. Which was nice. We think Steve's heart went out of rhythem yesterday. Sometimes he can tell. Donbeyonce's he cant. We have a Cardio app on our phones so he checked his heart rate and yup it showed it was out of rhythem compared to mine. I will call his Dr tomorrow to see if he wants them to come in. He may need another Oblation. I have am appointment on Wednesday afternoon with my Pcps nutricianits for diabetic counseling. I figure it couldnt hurt to hear what she says.
Steven will be over after work today, he gets off at 630 to see Steve.
I have a 1 on 1 with my boss this week, she is supposed to have them quarterly. This is the 1st on this year.it will be over there phone. A friend on my team let me in on some new job responsibilities. My boss is over 2 teams ours and the digital team. It us her and 1 other person doing digital signs for companies. ( think those new digital signs that change constantly) my friend who did warranties ( she did a certain type) that was taken away from her to go back to our warranty department. She is moving over to digital so now they need someone (me) to take over her job on our team. I always said if I had to do her job I would quit. Now I'm going to have to do her job!
Keep on mind that no one has said anything to me except my friend who gave me a great up. Thank goodness she did!!
Anyway dont know if that made sence but I'm going to be hating life job wise pretty soon.

Christine, wow you Disney party sounds like so much fun!! Such as great way to celebrate. I loved your kyacking pictures, so beautiful. The lake Erie I know and love! We are going on July 11th. No one wanted to travel on the 4th. I told them we still had to celebrate my BDay! We are going to have a graduation party for Emilie and my nephew, RJ. That should be fun. My sister Mary Beth ( the mom of RJ and #5 out of 6 kids - I'm #6 ) is doing WW also. So we will do this together. It will really help you the lake to have someone do this with me. Nice Linsey is moving back. How will that effect you hone office since that's her room?
Yes I incorporate alot of BLE I to my program also. Its just healthly.
When we go up there we take a day and go into Geneva on the lake. It's a tourist town. They have z donut shop there that has THE best donuts. My sister always buys some to take back to the house. The owners of this house said as of a couple of months ago they actually had a beach. I told my sisters that, that wad hard to believe. Yes I cant wait!!
Gabrielle, is the name you use on here the one you use on the WW app? We should connect. Mine is Johealthy.1. Look me up and I'll look you up. Wow you got up at 4am to run? That is dedication! You go girl. That is scary the woman got heart stroke. Thank goodness there were people around tp help her. I'm glad you had people with you. Steve came on yesterday from working outside because he was over heated. I told him he will get heat stroke if hes not careful. You got a pedi, so jealous. I don't even know if ours are open or not. I want to get one before vacation.
Sue. Wow your message sounds wonderful. So happy for you, that you will be going back to work some days. Have fun at the baseball games. Good luck to Colton. Thanks for sharing us. I never thought to do vegetables on the instapot. I will have to look that up. I dont use mine very much. I don't really have recipes for it.
Jenny, that is amazing that WWPOW apologized to you. I bet that felt good. Thlast was very big of her to do that. Not many people look at themselves and admit they were wrong.
