The first time I remember seeing him on screen was a super brief shot on 30 Something. You didn't really see his face.

I am not impressed with FILTHY RICH, but am going to watch it one more week. Guess they had a lot to set up to get on with the story. Will see. Leaning toward NO
Have a couple others to watch that I recorded to see if I will like them but got side tracked my DWTS and a couple of books. One I can't have the TV on while reading!! Yes sometimes I can do both especially if it is something like The Voice or DWTS , just cuts out all the "talk" !!

Yes, Brad Pitt. With or without that face, he sure is good to look at.
I am the same way with THE VOICE, Connie. Not reading, but definitely on my computer while it is on.
Re Charlie Rose: I enjoyed listening to and watching him and many other interviewers over the years. He was one of many. Sometimes I think these people fall in love with themselves and think they are omnipotent and that others are a bit less important than they. There are still some good ones out there. Terry Gross on NPR's FRESH AIR is one of my favorites. I hate hearing about the harassment of some people I admired. James Levine, the genius musical director of the Metropolitan Opera, hit me the hardest.

Two movies we watched over the weekend: Netflix Romantic Comedy LOVED JACKED - When her engagement falls through, a headstrong woman tries to dodge humiliation at home by returning from Africa with a man posing as her fiancé.
Documentary of Leonard Cohen on DVD from library WORDS OF LOVE - A story of enduring love between Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse, Marianne Ihlen. Filmmaker Nick Broomfield chronicles their relationship, from the early days in Greece to how their love evolved when Leonard became a successful musician.
Both were entertaining, though not excellent.
I love THE VOICE and DWTS! THE VOICE returns Oct 19. Gwen Stefani returns. I love the interactions between Gwen and Blake.

I enjoy Gwen and Blake too, Ruth. What talent we see on that show.

James Levine, the genius musical director of the Metropolitan Opera, hit me the hardest. I know! When we were evacuated from the fire, we were watching stuff on our hosts's Chromecast that was in the studio where we were staying. An old tape of Itzak Perlman playing while Levine was conducting was amazing, but it just colors one's ability to appreciate the music. I listen to the Met Opera Siruis XM station often while driving and so many are conducted by Levine. The knowledge is just like a little painful dart to the experience.

I like the blind auditions on THE VOICE. usually just listen to voices on any talent show , seems for me that just listening gives me a better idea of the "voice. Do the same with IDOL.
