birdgal, surfgirl, my "not yet" is based on hoping a Biden win can turn the country around rather than four more years of the same which would definitely solidify the madness. People are for Trump who only care about their money, or have bought into the fear-mongering about socialism, black and brown people burning down the cities, one issue voters like anti-abortion, or guns. I could go on. Also, a strange ability to ignore or deny the pandemic.

Watching them chant "Fire Fauci" made me sick. Yeah, let's fire the scientists because that will make it go away... Also, I am willing to bet his "plants" in the audience start that crap every rally.

For those who are nervous today, please consider joining a phone bank for swing states of your choice. Texas Democrats have a great phone bank with really simple scripts that my friend has been using and I"m going to join that later today. South Carolina Dems or Ohio or Kentucky - any state that's swing AND has a senate seat up for grabs would be great choices to phone bank for. Before you say you don't like phone banking, nobody does! But the scripts are so easy these days, and they all do quick trainings for those who want it. Let's not wake up Wednesday wishing we'd done a little bit more. Aside from that, you can donate something ASAP for last minute ads...*this PSA is over*

birdgal, well, less than half the population voted and will vote for Idiot in Chief. I will admit to anger at the way the GOP has managed to gerrymander districts over the years so that they consistently manage to elect people without a majority vote. Could Democrats have done anything to prevent this? I wonder.

Gerrymandering sounds almost nice, doesn't it? It's a fun word to say. It sounds a lot better than corruption, fraud, or deceit.
