Information you need to join virtual meetings this Wednesday: On the main screen of your app in upper right hand corner is a face figure, click on it to bring up Find A Studio, click on it to find information on virtual meetings. I didn't find any kind of schedule yet, did anyone else?

I didn't find any kind of schedule yet, did anyone else? When I went to my profile, nothing’s changed either. I’m logging onto my normal group meeting I really like the usual leader, but not her sub. So this may be difficult. 😉 Gotta keep the numbers up.

No changes were discussed at my meeting yesterday other than some time on the app updates. The rest of it was supposed to be about exercise but ended up being "meeting as usual" with a lot of struggles being discussed.
I took the Zoom app academy. There is a new feature called "what's in your fridge" where you enter what's in your pantry and it will return some recipes, with a nifty filter option. That database is not very well populated though. I searched for peppers, bell peppers specifically, and as of yesterday anyway peppers were not in the app, nor was turkey bacon. The sleep feature is pretty cool. I should use the exercise options more.

One of the guides at Tony W's workshop this morning posted this info in the chat: (I took a screenshot, but didn't want to break any WW rules by posting the screenshot here)
Right now, that link will still show you the local Studio info, but Wednesday it will have the virtual workshop information.

On December 9th, you will select "Virtual Workshop". There you can enter a coach's name, the workshop day/time, then click to join. I attended a virtual workshop this morning from a location where I've attended onsite meetings pre-COVID. The coach, who was substituting for the regular coach, announced that WW is dependent on members interacting with each other, and that is one of the main features of WW. She then announced that that local virtual meeting would be ending. She said that there would still be a local virtual meeting at an earlier time slot, and that there would be a listing coming out on the app that could be used to find another virtual meeting in the time slot that was ending locally. A couple of participants voiced complaints. They said that though WW talks about members interacting with one another, closing the local virtual workshops was terminating the communities that had been developed over long periods of time. A few people felt that attending large virtual meetings with unknown members and unknown coaches was not a suitable replacement, and that is was a very corporate approach, as opposed to the sense of community and group experience that WW was espousing. Both the coach and the guide seemed sympathetic to these complaints. They suggested to call customer service and make their views known. They said that WW is responsive to members suggestions and points of view. Personally, I have my doubts about this.

debinprogress, Thanks for the post. squid, I'm confused too. My virtual meeting is tomorrow night at six, and I'm assuming the leader/guide will give us directions on how to get to a meeting. I'm also going to ask them about the status of Lifetime members not weighing in at live meetings being able to attend the virtual meetings. DebDoesWW, Looking forward to the thread on Wednesday to find out what is going on. susan092907, Thanks for your information.

I think eventually WW is going to phase out LT membership. The emphasis is increasingly on online and virtual participation, and LT doesn't lend itself to that.

squid except for the whole teaming with CVS thing I may have agreed with you before. But it looks as if they are trying to come up with different ways to do LT weigh ins without the overhead, let's face it they arent going to be filling up meeting rooms with Covid-19 going on. I know I am not able to attend with my immune system. I really can't blame them for locking up their Zoom meetings if everyone was passing out their codes to family/friends. It looks like by changing it to getting in thru your profile is how they are locking them down to avoid that.

I'm also going to ask them about the status of Lifetime members not weighing in at live meetings being able to attend the virtual meetings. Judy, I think you've said you have free etools until 2027 or 28 so would that make a difference to you attending virtual meetings? I assume you will have access until that time and then you would have to weigh in to continue your LT status. Am I missing something in these new rules that we're hearing about?

linda72, I have heard that starting March 1st Lifetime members have to weigh in at a live meeting or they will be charged the $14.95 for the missed meeting and when they charge you you lose all of you free e-tools. We'll see what WW is saying at that time. I still am wondering if free Lifetime members will be able to get to virtual meetings after Wednesday's changes.

I am supposed to have free tools until 2025. I hope they don’t take that away. I will cancel my membership if they do. Keep us updated after your meeting.

dar1965 thanks for posting the link, I can't stress this enough, no LT member over goal should be paying more than $14.95 a month for eTools, that has been the policy forever. (I just wanted to state the obvious and say, don't click the button if you have accrued eTools and are not currently paying anything, that link is only for LT over goal members that are paying a monthly fee over $14.95) Use the link, do a chat on the 24/7 app, message them on Facebook, whatever, but that is all you should be paying. bbbearsmom I believe someone mentioned they won't be messing with those accrued eTools months. Most likely the only way to lose them is if you weigh in over goal, that is how it has always been. If you didn't weigh in before the pandemic, it had no effect on your accrued months, I doubt they would mess with that. I can't even imagine if they did.
