The weird thing about shiratake noodles is everyone talks about the fishy smell. I don't smell anything when I open the bag and drain them.
I wonder if it like the asparagus pee thing?

Thanks for your review. A few years ago I did try the shiitake noodles and couldn't get past the texture and smell. Not willing to feel compelled to try this product. lol

Thanks for the review. I'm LOL. I've been waiting for someone to try them and post their opinion.
Our leader has been pushing them hard in our meeting. And NObody's taking the bait. We've been sold down the river so many times with horrible WW products just so the staff could make a commission that we've learned to just ignore the "marketing minutes" (which, of late, has turned into the marketing 5 minutes and then the meeting ends up running 5 minutes or more late).
So, as I suspected, these are the wolf (Shiritaki) noodles in (sheep's clothing)—i.e., the more they protest, "These are NOT Shiritaki noodles the less credibility they gain."

Mike - trust me - the staff makes the most paltry "commission" in the retail business - a very low fraction of 1%. Leaders take a slight bit more of the cut. 99% of sales go straight to WW. By the way - those hummus and cracker snacks? I thought they were vile. Pretty much all I will buy are the hummus popped chips, and only when on sale.

I do like the new chick pea snacks. There are a lot more in the bag then you first think. They are 3 points, which is high for some people for a snack. But I like them a lot.

Having been a leader back in the 70s, I know how poorly compensated staff is and has always been. The drive for higher mininmum wages must just kill WW! And I don't think my leader is pushing stuff for her personal profit, I think that staff—once again—has been told by the area director to push product or risk termination.

The meeting I work at as a receptionist has had a 40% increase in attendance since last year. The leader and I are thrilled. This is a traveler meeting in the basement of a church.
But the territorial manager says we aren't selling enough product! So that makes us still "a meeting of concern"
As DH put it, if WW would make stuff people really want to buy (not glow boxes and coloring books) maybe people would buy it.
We refuse to do hard sell, even if it means we are in trouble.

When I went to WW meetings we never got the hard sell. I really appreciated that about the staff there.
The one time I tried shirataki noodles I didn't think they smelled that bad (I rinsed them really well) - but the texture was revolting. I eat good old fashioned real pasta now (which is easier now that I'm calorie counting rather than doing WW).

I just use zucchini noodles (zoodles) mixed with whole wheat spaghetti--0 points for the zucchini plus an additional veggie--and I get my pasta fix.

Thanks for the review...helped me decide to pitch the boxes I bought it hour using them. Too bad I couldn't return for money back, but I've had them sitting around too long to do that. Did buy the chickpea snacks after trying the sample pack they gave out in my meeting. The only thing I buy regularly is the vanilla coffee creamer packets

Tried the chickpea snack sample we were given in class this week. I love chickpeas, but I'm definitely not a fan of this snack.

Agree - they didn't taste TOO bad but the texture was like eating chunks of dry wall - and afterward I suffered a horrendous case of heartburn. Chickpeas and salt do not bother me, it had to be the oil. hpeterson1951 - I've said that for years, if WW put out products that people want, at a non-ridiculous price, it would automatically move off the shelves.
