Good morning to all. I just went back to last Saturday and read all the posts. CJ I love dark chocolate and only buy it when it is on sale. I will get some for Easter and then only allow 1 piece per evening with 4 oz of red wine. After turning to dark chocolate because of nutritional value I find milk chocolate too sweet.
Lurker I'm surprised that you are allowed 2000 calories per day. My dietitian has me at 1200 calories a day and also counting and limiting carbs and adding more fiber, less fat. I am perfectly satisfied with that. I am 5'4" and as you can see over 200 (well over) pounds. I have turned to good coffee and herbal teas for evening treats. I got some loose tea for Christmas and sugar free flavors for my coffee (decaf). Avoiding caffine has helped a lot.

Hello everyone! I don't usually post on weekends, but I happen to be at work WI was a little disappointing, but ok. I'm down slightly. My movie nights the day before WI definitely have an impact, because I eat sodium laden foods. But I'm ok with that because I'm aware of what is happening. I didn't quite hit the milestone I was looking for, but that's ok, because I know it's coming. tracker, I kind of march to the beat of my own drum, so it's not that I'm allowed 2000 calories per day, it's that I'm not willing to go lower than that. I prefer to focus on eating well and nourishing my body, so I try not to limit myself too much. I know that I would be miserable at 1200 or even 1400 calories. At the end of the day, I want to be able to eat well and feel satisfied, and I'm ok with being a bit heavier in order to be able to do that. So, if my weight loss stops at a certain point when I'm eating this way, but I'm happy with how I'm fueling my body, then that's how much I'm going to weigh. I would love to weigh 120-125 pounds (I'm 5'0") but I don't really think that's realistic for me. I do know that I was happy with my size when I was 150 (12 years ago!), but I was practically starving myself to be there and did not take care of my body. So we'll see. I hope you all have a great day!

Hello Everyone sunrose - Congratulations on the loss this week! You're doing great too tracker - Congratulation on your loss. I wish you the best on meeting your goal of losing 1.1 by the end of the month - you can do it! Concerning chocolate, and sweet things, sadly there is very little food that I find too sweet for me wwlurker - Congratulations on the loss this week. I know it has to be frustrating that your weigh-in is right after your movie night. But hopefully you are seeing the losses over the long term, it's just hard to wait to see them, isn't it? I know you'll meet that milestone soon I'm starting another week today. I kind of like starting on Sunday, it breaks up the weekend for me. Since I'm retired, pretty much every day is the same as the one before, so at least this is something different Hope everyone checking in is doing well on their plans and having a good weekend

Whew glad the trial period for "winter" is over! We were very blessed - no pipe issues and everything is pretty much back to normal. Turned the air conditioner on yesterday lol -love Texas! Back on plan today. I was making pretty crappy choices so I need to get my head back into it

Dotren, glad you are back to normal.
Cj, keep up the good work. I’m retired too so I can relate to the day thing.

Hello everyone! DotRen, I'm glad things are back to normal for you. I spent the morning shoveling. I'm sick of winter, but we will continue to have snow until April. cj59, there is little which I find "too sweet" too! sunrose49, good luck getting your walks in! I'm doing surprisingly well this week. I have plenty of WPs left. Yesterday, I left a few too many DPs at the end of the day, as I just wasn't feeling it. I waited too long to eat lunch, then I wasn't hungry for supper. I was super tired, so I went to bed early. I did manage to get the minimum 18 points in for the day, though, so I'm not worried about it. I don't think I'll have any trouble with staying within my points this week. The scale is staying nicely below the milestone, so I'm hopeful. I'm getting a little impatient as it's painfully slow. I try to think in 5 and 10 pound increments. I hope you all have a great day!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well sunrose - I'm glad you were able to get out and walk, and hope you do today too. I'm doing well sticking to my points/calories and tracking my food, but I just can't make myself exercise. I know I need to find some kind of motivation that works for me - like something I want to do that I can't do until I get my exercise done. Maybe that would work if I followed the rules Take care eveyrone!

Good morning
Cj, I’ve been in a rut with my exercise too. The break in the weather this past couple days has made it easier to get out for a walk.

I met my step goal again yesterday. I’ll be getting out for walks today before the rain starts.

Hi everyone, happy Friday! I am pleased to report that I have 15 WPs left for movie night! sunrose49 , cj59 , I need to get more exercise. I tend to walk quite a bit in my daily life, but it varies greatly depending on what I have on my schedule for the day. I've been doing physio and it's a struggle to even get just those exercises in. I'm not comfortable going to a gym right now (I try not to complain about mask-wearing, but I'm just not interested in working out in a mask). I do need to do better with the exercise, even just for my stress levels. WI is tomorrow and I will hit the milestone I've been waiting for. The scale hasn't moved much since earlier in the week when I started consistently being below the milestone, but I'll take it! I think that over the past two months of being OP, I've lost about 5 pounds a month. I'll take it. I'm still a little concerned that my Fitbit calories burned are much lower than they were when I started. I know that as you lose, you burn less calories, but I'm not really ready to drop my points lower. I think that I would have to have a couple of weeks in a row with no losses or a gain before I would lower my points. Technically, I should be losing a point this WI because I'll hit a new "decade", but I'm going to wait and see if my weight loss slows down. I haven't had a gain yet (although I know it's only a matter of time), and I only stayed the same one week. I hope that you all are doing well and have a great weekend!

Hello Everyone sunrose - Congratulations on meeting your step goal, hope you were able to get out and walk again I quit wearing a Fitbit awhile back and I know that contributes to my lack of exercise and steps wwlurker - Good for you having so many weekly points left for last night, hope you enjoyed movie night and have a good weigh-in. After going through using points so many times to lose weight, I agree with you that we have to decide for ourselves what is a good point range at a certain point in our weight loss. I hope that you can manage your points so they work the best for you. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend
