AMY - GFY gathering the food that will be helpful and making a plan.
CAROL - GFY with the live Zoom meeting and stretching. I actually read a book about George Eliot and “Middlemarch” - “My Life in Middlemarch” by Rebecca Mead. I enjoyed it. She weaves together her own life, George Eliot’s life and the novel. I really enjoyed that - maybe more than I’d enjoy the novel itself 😳

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my 💚 zone of pts 🔵 Healthy Eating Zone. One day at a time.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - JGTB: 💚
2 microhabits: - “50 pushaways”: 💚 - “No seconds with snack”: 💚
Habit change: It’s a process - mind, body, emotions, spirit. It takes time and repetition. For me, Prayer + Practice + Patience + Perseverance = Progress
Yesterday we walked 2 mi.
Today DH gets his 2nd covid vax dose and tomorrow I do.
The doves on our deck have a nest in a small space on top of our patio heater under the eave. I looked it up, and that high pitched “squeaky wheel” sound they make when they fly is made by their wings.
KELLY - GFY OP and 3 mi video WO! Yes I’m feeling great about the consistent OP. 😄🙏💕
RIDGERUNNER - After this am walk I’m almost half way through the 1st stage of JM Trail, 12.2 miles: Yosemite Valley to Tuolumne Meadows 22.5 0.0 → 22.5 I’ve been to these places and it’s nice to remember and see the photos.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Can't believe I posted to all and deleted my post. Walked 6 miles yesterday. Here I am on the Joan Muir (virtual) trail. Cait: Thank you so much for the all of the info ! I loved your weebly page. You are truly an inspiration. I have tried Volksport before, there's just not enough close/active and I don't want to walk alone in a rural area. Thanks for the Olive oil recipe. I am impressed with the pushaways at step 3 no less ! I think I will join you with that also but I have to start at the sink. I am not on WWconnect, just here. Amyrs: Looks like you're figuring out the food/cooking situation. I use steelcut oats and make a week at a time. Let me know if you want the recipe. Tickyboo: I wouldn't say lobster and crab is not a good choice ... we have to indulge SOMETIMES, just not ALL of the time. Carol: Hubby and I don't do presents or even sometimes cards. I HAVE been known to write him a note and tape it in his office. Have a great day !

TUESDAY in the DEEP FREEZE! Sheesh! This is getting tiresome! Luckily, we're heading to Yellowstone on Saturday. LOL! Fred and I stopped giving Valentine's Day gifts years ago; in fact, now we just usually get joint gifts for birthdays and holidays, too. This year, though, I made the mistake of telling the rep it's going to be Fred's birthday while we're in Yellowstone, and the over-the-top rep wrote it on all the meal, lodge, and excursion reservations! He's going to be soooooo tired of hearing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" that he may go bonkers! I did get him a belated Valentine's Day card yesterday, because he finally "let" me go to the store KELLY -- good job on a better day! Please remind me -- is "Gina B." a friend, a YouTuber, or what? AMY -- we make "overnight" oats, in part because it's easier. RIDGERUNNER -- another 6 mile high-5! Looks like you're about 10% to the end! CAIT -- yay, you, for another good day! Yes, I've heard that squeaky/fluttery sound from doves, too. They're sweet! We woke up to -20 today, so no outdoor walking for me! I spent some time with my sister, and I did a short dance video this afternoon. I'm just counting 1 mile for that, but at least it got me moving. I also stretched during a Zoom meeting (with camera & microphone off, LOL). That was a bonus! 147/250 miles 40/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141;2019:192; 2020:182 2021: Jan. 15; February: 10/28

Good Morning!!
Lots of crazy snacking yesterday. Plan to be back on track today. I added a 2 mile WATP.
Cait: Great job with staying OP and getting those miles in.
Carol: Gina B(Buber) is on Youtube. She does have DVDs too. Good job choosing to do an indoor workout.
Ridgerunner: Great job with your miles. The crab and lobster wasn't my bad meals. Saturday's meals were poor choices.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Yesterday we walked 2 mi.
DH had no problem after 2nd covid vax dose yesterday afternoon. He didn’t even feel sore at the injection site yesterday. This am the injection site is a bit sore and he feels a little “off,” but so far nothing more. I get mine today.
The doves were so busy yesterday all morning. One was gathering small twigs, one at a time, and the other worked on nest construction. 😍
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Good Morning!!
I was back on track with eating yesterday. Did a 2 mile WATP but fell short on my steps for the day. More snow today. My Practice Manager told me to stay home and work today so there is no lapse in phone coverage. They will open but may end up closing early depending on how much snow falls.
Cait: Good job on your consistency. Hope all is well with your vaccine.
Amy: Glad your getting your vaccine. Good luck with all your plans.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Yesterday we walked 2 mi and I did my PT floor exercises 24 mins.
DH did feel achy and fatigued yesterday after covid vax 2 on Tues. He rested all day and we went to bed early, and this am he feels fine. I got mine yesterday and so far this am I feel fine. We shall see.
KELLY - Yay You, back on track with eating. Upsetting news about loved ones can throw me for a loop also. GFY 2 mi WATP. Oh, too bad, you have to WFH today instead of driving through the snow 🤣🎊🎉🌈
AMY - Glad you have a vax appt. I hope you get help with your neck and back pain and home assistance.
CAROL - Hope all is well in the DEEP FREEZE 😉 Wow. - 20F! Not that Yellowstone will be much like a Caribbean resort, though.... But I bet you’ll have a great time. Sending early BDay wishes to Fred. I really don’t like paid strangers singing me “Happy Birthday”! But I never turned down the free dessert 😳🎉🎊🎁
RIDGERUNNER - I’m at 14.2 mi on JM Trail as of yesterday, 62% of stage 1. I use steel cut oats also but I make them each am. I can taste the difference when they’re fresh vs reheated. Glad you liked my “story.” We really enjoyed the Volksport walks. Especially when traveling. One year we did a Lewis and Clark trip and did an AVA walk in each state on the L&C Trail. Very memorable - who knew there were so many brew pubs along the L&C Trail? 🤣
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

THURSDAY! SUNSHINE!
KELLY -- good job getting back on track. Thanks for the Gina Buber info -- I'll have to check her out.
AMY -- I'm happy you're able to get the vaccine! We're still waiting....
CAIT -- Were you in Nebraska for any of the L & C Trail? There is quite a bit of history along the Missouri River.
It's a sunny and (relatively) warmer day, with temps in the 20s, so I did one-half of the February Trail-a-Thon trail. I wanted to do a little more, but my face was cold, cold, cold! I'm counting 1.5 miles for that. I also just finished stretching, and I went to water aerobics yesterday (3 miles). I plan to go to water aerobics tomorrow morning, but after that, who knows? Hopefully we'll be skiing and/or snowshoeing most days! Can't wait!
