I'm IN.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
It's been a melt-y WEEK! <YAAAY!!!> <YIPPEE!!!> Snow's melting away. And since we opted out of a lot of shoveling-every-inch-just-to-say-we-did-it (thereby saving the old folks' backs) we are delighted to report that the back end of the driveway is looking GOOD and we'll have no problem getting the garbage cans out this week. These are 95-gallon rolling cans for automated pickup (those claws on the trucks) so we had plenty of room for a couple of weeks' worth of garbage and commingled recycle.
The meltdown (which had to do with the YM encampment on March 6-7) was resolved in a Zoom meeting that was not at 4:30 PM, as originally stated, but at 6:30 PM. Now the project can move on (heaven knows, there's enough background work to be done to get ready for Hay Day at the Farm).
Today? I've got a newsletter to prepare and some lists to make. And a sunbeam that's just calling my name.
Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... <aaahhh>...
πππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππ

Morning all! Thanks for the start MJ, glad your issue was resolved. π€
Ever have one of those mornings where you perfectly froth your milk while waiting for the delicious smell of coffee to come wafting from the maker, and wait and wait, and then it beeps it's done and you still are waiting for the smell that there is no comparison to? Yeah that was me this morning. Anyone need a pot of hot water?!? Must have gotten sidetracked when I set it up last night and forgot to add the coffee grounds π€£π€£
I am IN! Have a great day! βοΈβοΈβοΈ

I'm up early and helping DD and DSIL provide an extra car to take kids to school while their car is in the shop for a recall notice. It shouldn't take long and then I'll stop by the grocery store. I'm still on the hunt for milk and english muffins. DebDoesWW, I did the exact same thing last week. My coffee maker is on a timer and imagine my surprise when I went to pour the coffee and only saw water.... I poured the pot of water into a thermos and saved it for later and started over. I guess my mind was elsewhere when I set it up. I hope you get your coffee soon! It's 66 degrees this morning and humid but I refuse to complain about that; it beats 12 degrees by a long shot. LOL! Have a good day, friends.

Deb, Sorry but I chuckled when I read your post. I couldn't figure out why my tea kettle never boiled the other day. It won't heat up if you don't turn the burner on! diva49,- you amaze me with all you do for your family. The mousekeeters and Kresslings are SO lucky to have grandparents like you and toots! I saw my grandparents less than 10 times in my entire life. You are a blessing. I made a sorting task for my kids yesterday. They will hang copies of seed packets, pens, toothbrushes or gift cards on hooks to practice stocking shelves. I'm am stupid proud of how it turned out. I'm trying to do functional and practical skills for the kids

Morning all. I'm in. DebDoesWW, LOL! I've done that more times than I care to admit. Getting up to 45, the melt continues here with a blue sky day ahead. Perfect for getting out for some fresh air and finishing yesterday's errands. Enjoy the day! Glad all is well diva49,

Happy Thursday! The melt down continues here too! Now everything is a muddy mess! LOL Oh well, it will dry out soo enough. Oh, but now I have a minefield of dog poo! Guess I will be scooping that instead of snow! DebDoesWW, I have done that before! It makes the wait for that first sip even harder! Nothing much happening today. I'm going to try a power yoga class at lunch today. Wish me luck! I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!

I'm in, planned and tracked. That's about as exciting as my life is at the moment. That was NOT a complaint.

I am present. For my Texas buds who are having a problem finding the vaccine, here is a map I found for you. (Hubby was patiently waiting in California with his medical provider until I discovered that you don't HAVE to use your "medical provider" at no cost.) Texas Corna vaccine availability Map
Elsewhere: Vaccine guide by state
Neen: You are SO GOOD about doing your yoga. I found it built muscles I didn't know I had. Sorry about the doggies.... indoor fetch? What do you do for work? Pam: Good Morning ! Hpeterson: I have a preschool administrator friend who was having kids use metal parts to make 3D robots on paper (She's so creative). She told one of the little boys, "you have to put your head on the paper" and told me, "OF COURSE, you know what he did !" hahaha...those little cherubs. What a perfect task you made for the kids. Diva49: YM Camp. How fun ! (I know it's a HUGE responsibility) Your farm? DebDoesWW: Been there done that ! Linda72: I recently bought a case of dried milk. I told hubby he is going to thank me in 6 months when everyone is out. Wish I could send you a bag. 66 degrees and humid? Never heard of it. The more I hear from you ladies the more I like SoCal. Doordie: A day of errands is what kept me walking yesterday also. SusiQ: By the time I get tracked and updated it's time for lunch... Might get that soup made today... or not. Have a GREAT day !

YM Camp. How fun ! (I know it's a HUGE responsibility) Your farm? We're going to a horse farm in northern NJ (rural Sussex County). We'll be sleeping on hay bales in a horse barn. I live in suburban Middlesex County, on the other side of the state.

RidgeRunner, I had to laugh when I read your post about your friend and the "put your head on the paper". I have kids do exactly that. MarieL,- Thanks, I think it was a pretty good task. The kids seemed to like it today. I also have them rolling utensils (plastic of course) in napkins like a servers side work at a restaurant. I'm trying to do work box jobs that can be translated into real life. The kids like pretending they are working some place and it becomes functional and meaningful, not just busy work.

RidgeRunner, I found milk today at my local HEB. I'm still looking for Thomas English Muffins. They only had plain ones and DH prefers the ones with cinnamon and raisins. I think I'll be able to find those soon. The milk shelves still look bare but they are slowly getting things replaced. Many people had to dump all of the food in their refrigerators/freezers (no power for 3 days) so those people are completely out of food. I have so many condiments in my refrigerator and I would hate to replace those all at once. (many of those could survive with no refrigeration)

linda72 We never lost power completely...6 hours one day and 7 hours the next then every 20 minutes we had rolling outages for 40 minutes at a time. Our fridge is so cold we never lost any food. Our Walmart has been very slow in restocking after they had to throw out food but HEB has been wonderful here. Bread is slow in getting restocked there but if you go in the mornings there is plenty of milk. Today I even found my favorite flavor of coffee creamer and Skinny Pop popcorn. Yogurt has been plentiful there the whole time. I heard HEB has already given $100,000 in food to local food banks and plan to give $1M I guess in a check to help out Texas. That is why I would rather shop at HEB than Walmart especially since that's my only 2 choices.

borntexan, I am glad your HEB got stocked so quickly. That's not happening in my part of Houston although each day has gotten better. My DD went 72+ hours w/o electricity. I tried to get them to bring their food to our house but they kept thinking it would come back on.
