I much prefer hard copy materials to scrolling thru endless screens and entering items in a search box repeatedly until I find what I'm looking for. I want to be able to see the entire program in a booklet. If WW goes all digital they'll lose more members (as if they care). And for people of any age who have vision problems, paper can be easier on the eyes than a lit screen.

@pointsplusgal thank you ❤️
Yikes, I hadn't heard that about them doing away with materials entirely. I really hope they don't go that far, they still need to incentivise members to come to the meetings.
Those books get me back into WW-mode, I'll never forget how on release days the meeting rooms were standing room only and there were always lines to buy the new "kits", the eating out and shopping guides, 3 month journal, cute cover for it, etc..

I heard Mindy is leaving as CEO. ALSO the program will be similar to a diabetic diet addressing insulin resistance. More heart healthy fats that won’t be points dense. Again. All rumors

They probably will lose a lot of the older members - myself included - they only care about signing up new members!!!!

ginnpr, I think for almost all of the changes since they introduced Smart Points I've had online conversations about how they don't care about older members and they will lose them. They've been focusing on younger digital members for a long time.

ginnpr, bbbearsmom, Lets face it we're hooked, they know if we quit we'll be back, so many people in virtual who just keep coming back, some several times. I have to stay with it as I need the accountability and I know if I quit it won't work out and I'll gain my weight back, I have "no choice" Besides I have a free year!

Yes! That’s how I feel. Deb, I read that on a Facebook WW Over 60 board, where someone who said she has knowledge of the new plan said they were going digital. I don’t know how true that is, with all the speculation, but it made me sad, probably for all the reasons you mentioned above.

Yikes! It’s 39 pages! I sure hope some math genius can take the final points formula that they will use, and let us know approximately how many calories is a point. Back in the day on the official message boards, that’s what someone named Freebee did with the Pointsplus formula, breaking it down to one point equals approximately 40 calories, rounding up or down to the nearest whole number, and it made figuring points so easy for me. But Pointsplus were truly representative of calories. When Smartpoints came along it was impossible, because there were too many variables, like being punished for sugar. But it sounds like the new formula may have too many variables as well, like being punished for sugar and rewarded for fiber. Oh well, only time will tell, I guess. I have this thing where I dislike being dependent on an app or even calculator to figure out what a point is! That really ties you to the company for life. I think that’s why so many people just like the simplicity and freedom of counting calories.

Yeah I gotta agree. I miss back in the momentum/turnaround program days the slider. I SILL have my books and sliders. Hell I even miss points plus. (Still have my material for that too). I will say that I lost 60lbs on freestyle but I'm struggling since having my gallbladder removed. It's esp hard since I love sweets. But I've found a few low point options AND smartsweets. Yikes! Scwood, you mentioned Smartsweets. I have heard of them. Have you tried their gummy bears? Any good? Yes, I love my sweets, that’s why I love Pointsplus. I am only human, and once in a while I may eat too much real sugar, but on Pointsplus I can still stay within my daily points total, whereas with Smartpoints, I’d be way over. I think I will look for Smartsweets on amazon. Thanks for mentioning them.

I think I will look for Smartsweets on amazon. Thanks for mentioning them. Actually, yes. The sour ones have a weird fiber on the outside to get around. They are 3sp per bag on Al 3 smart point plans. I've had them all except the twists, suckers, cola bottles, and worms. The most bang for your money is the plan gummy bears. I love them and the sour blast buddies (sour patch kids), peach rings, watermelon, and the fish. The sour gummies are decent. My least favorite hands down were the starburst ones, which are 5sp. weird aftertaste. I highly recommend. You can order them on their website, Amazon, or WW.com They also sell them at Target if you're wanting some now. But not all flavors. The worms are seasonal apparently. but so far most of them are good. Sometimes Amazon has deals where you can get them cheaper than in store. They average about $2.78 each. Anything higher average is not worth it so be careful online. They are great to take into the theater to avoid eating concessions that are so much higher.

Plugging netrition.com for the smart sweets, and other sugar free options, too - I've been doing business with them for 20 years (no really) and they are a fantastic, family owned company. Best customer service anywhere

39 pages of diagrams and formulas ,etc.
In skimming it it appears all foods will be given a healthful score based on stuff like protein,carbs,sodium,sugar,fats( saturated and unsaturated.)
There are 4 ways to categorize each food based on the healthful score. They use other wording but to me it seems like green, yellow, red and only if you can't find anything better\more healthful. (Their wording is Most Healthful, Less Healthful, Even less Healthful, Least Healthful)
