Hi! Connie, thank you for starting the thread for us today. Lucy, my DM had the same problem with her ears, to the extent that she saw the ENT every three months to have them cleaned. Maybe you need to do that? I have episodes of vertigo occasionally and it is horrible. Praying that you feel better. It sounds like you are doing the best thing you can do. I'm chilly, with 41º this morning! May bake today -- never made my cornbread yesterday. I'll still be walking in the house today. I do not want the asthma back. It was a bear this time. Other than the grocery order, I have no other chores for today, and we have no appointments. So after the grocery order, I will write my DGS1's "Adulting" memo for his last page in the book I will give him for Christmas. Once I finish that, I'll really start to plan DGD1's "Adulting" page.
It should be a quiet day and I like it that way.
Hugs! Diane

Kathie, thanks for the beautiful blanket for November and also for tucking us in last night. Phyl, you can keep sending the Sandman, think a lot of us can use his help. I slept really good early this morning, had weird dreams but not scary ones anyway. too many people in an apartment or a vacation motel room, not sure which. Was very confusing. Lot of them I didn't know!!
The sun is shining but only 40°, think I am going to need one more time for mowing. The back yard is pretty high and everyone around me is mowing either for the high grass or mulching leaves. the big pick up of leaves happens for me and my neighbor when all the leaves are down. He does both of our yards at same time. See a person at the house across the street and maybe they will be picking up those leaves for a change, big yard, lots of trees and lot of fall leaves. All maple. Umm? wonder if he is moving in or just checking out the house. no signs up and heard a member of the family that owns the house will be moving in. Gossip.
I need to make a trip down to my DDs but don't think it will be today, I am slow moving and DSIL is on afternoons. Since I am taking money in for DGSs birthday gift I would like someone home. Getting dark earlier now and with time change it will be darker earlier yet. Yep that is coming up soon.
All Saints Day is a Christian festival held on November 1 that celebrates the lives of all saints, known and unknown. In Mexico and throughout many Hispanic communities in the U.S., November 1 is also known as the Day of the Dead, a time for families to remember and honor loved ones who have passed away. All Soul's Day, in which Christians essentially do the same, is celebrated the following day, November 2.

Light rain and cold. High to be only 55. Brrrrrr! Our leaves are just beginning to turn. Some years we have pretty color and others not so grand.
Taking it easy today so I don't get dizzy. Turning my head slowly. Moving slowly. Made another pot of coffee. Bed is made but that is all. I am still in my housecoat. I stayed in it all day yesterday.
Bill called to make sure I was ok. Then he left a little after 7 to go to Ardmore to get a generator. He is getting prepared for a power outage. No more living a week like last year again. I was down at son's and they had an outage. My neighbors said our rural electric company did not have one. They did rolling black outs.
Found out my 20 year old great granddaughter is in the hospital with reaction to the COVID vaccine. Her brother is the one I told y'all about a while back who is in the army and had a reaction. I need to check on him and see how he is coming along. If they can't get full use back in his right wrist and hand he will be discharged on partial disability.
Coffee, more coffee needed.

I've got a load of laundry in the washer. I don't have anything else planned for the day. It's bright and sunny outside, but cold. It's 41 degrees now, but feels like 36 degrees. BRRR.

Lucy: My car radio was left as is last time change so it will be perfect this time around....LOL. When I go out right now I just "in my mind" add one hour to the time. I won't have to do that soon. I will try to look at the info you send later. Jim and I have eye appointments today so when Bobbie is done we will leave. The eye doctor is about 1/2 hr. from here so with getting Jim in and out of car I will leave about an hour before.
Jim's DGSon who is in North Carolina at college (for Psychology) called this morning to thank us for his birthday card. Jim was very pleased so that is good.
See you all later for tuck in....
Happy Memories Kathie

All's well in this part of WI, just a little on the chilly side. Time for me to toughen up - the worst is yet to come.
In a way I've been busy. Certainly not work busy but busy watching the house workers. There are some things that we discussed with the owner but they weren't in the contract so not on the crew's work sheet. They are good about doing them though when I tell them.
Waldo(my kitty) had a re-check of his ears today & all is clear. He got his feline & rabies shot so is set for a while, unless we decide to do some dental work. Don't think we'll do anything till after the first of the year or maybe even wait till warmer weather.
Kathie, I love this month's blanket. I sure need it now & will be using it till spring.
Connie, my birthday is August 22. I think you have that & our anniversary is September 14. Celebrated 64 years now in 2021 & still counting.

I love our blanket also. It never made it a above 50. Damp and chilly out. Marlene, I couldn't take your weather. I only took Bearly out for his business. No mailbox or trash because of cold and might get dizzy. I did do the treadmill. Found out for sure great grandson will be discharged on disability.
