Merry and a blessed Christmas to you all. Even those of us that are not going anywhere and not having people over can sit and think about why we have a Christmas and the purpose for which Jesus was born. That's my plan for today.

Hope everyone is having a good day I sorted through all my quilt tops now I just have to figure out which ones I can quilt myself. I may even consider donating some of the tops to an organization that takes them and makes quilts out of them. I'll have to think about it.

Hey Ruth, I hope that you and Dh were able to get in touch with those family members that you want to hear from and that everyone is safe and healthy.
CJ- think its a wonderful idea to got though those quilt tops and donate them to someone who will make quilts from them. Think we all have projects that we wish had turned out better- even though you do lovely work. Its not unusual to like some quilt tops more than others and taste sure does change with time.
Got to see all 3 of my kids today and family, although not at the same time. Time to relax with a movie.
Merry CHristmas to all Ginny

Good morning and happy day after Christmas! I am watching a lovely sunrise on a slightly cloudy day- its pretty to see the sunlight play off the clouds.
I am looking forward to a day in which I can hopefully get a walk in and attend church. Much to be thankful for….much to pray about.
Hoping we can all get some crafting in. Sue and Phyl- hope you are both well. We miss you. Ginny

Hello Everyone - Hope you have had a good day and enjoyed the holiday weekend Ginny - I'm glad you were able to see all your family yesterday I did some embroidery today on the barn block that I've had started for awhile. I'd say I'm over halfway done stitching it and hope to finish it soon. This is supposed to be used for a quilted wall hanging and there are multiple borders that go around the embroidery center. The weather here was a bit cooler, in the 50s and tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 40s. Then I think it's back in the 50s for the rest of the week. Hope your weather has been alright. Hope all of you get to do some crafting soon. Take care

CJ- so glad you are back to work on the barn block!! Think that is such a great project a nice combination between embroidery and quilting. Really looking forward to seeing that when done. Embroidery is so relaxing. I like embroidery cause its smaller and portable, a pleasant deviation from large scale quilts. Weather in the 50’s this time of year is actually pleasant and also good for our heating bills. Because this is a wall hanging, do you have plans on using it in your home??
Got to church this am…I was the greeter had to get there a few minutes early. Not many people were there today, but it is the day after Christmas. Ds decided to burn some papers today…I joined him and got rid of a lot of paperwork from my MIL (Dh refused to get rid of). Its one less box in my storage room and I am very glad to have those papers gone. Going to work on some crochet now.
Happy Sunday all- and yes, tomorrow is Monday. Ginny

I haven't done anything today except crochet and watched some football while crocheting. It started out in 40's today but then the temp plunged and it snowed. I haven't been out of my winter quarters for several hours so I don't know what happened after the snow.I haven't looked out.
CJ, It's good to hear that you got so much done again and are back to the embroidery on your barn block. I'm curious too as to whether you're hanging this in your own home. As far as the quilt tops you have been looking through and decided which ones you're going to quilt yourself, it does seem like a great idea to donate those that you don't like very much. All your quilt tops that I've seen have been very beautiful so I don't know how you will make the decision. I'm sure that if you do decide to donate any that the person who ends up with each one of those will be very happy with it.
Ginny, my dh doesn't have paperwork inherited from his mother but he definitely is another that likes to hold onto paperwork. I'm glad you were able to burn it all and make room in your storage area. I hope you're having a relaxing evening with your crocheting.
I don't know if dh is still planning on going out tomorrow or not. We postponed our shopping twice already but there's nothing we really need so we'll see what he says tomorrow.
