Oh, and CJ, I agree about the cooking shows. It seems like they mostly make things that are way too fancy for my taste and also made with ingredients that are for sure not available in my area.WE laugh all the time about people on those shows telling us to go to our local ethnic shop. We have no ethnic shops.Or they say "have your butcher..." or go to your fishmonger..we have none of those.

Good evening!!
Well, there must have been something in the air…my heater acted up (CJ you are not alone). WIth great trepidation I called my plumber, the one who lives not too far from me and I called my friends son. Told them it was an emergency call and that I had no heat. Wanna guess who called me back and showed up 45 minutes later? My neighbor…..who did a temporary fix to my heater and ordered a new damper. SOOOO very thankful to the Lord for that and for my neighbor. And I have heat. Guess the official repair will be done when the part comes in.
CJ- forgive me, I am going to be the outlier here. the brick quilt is so pretty and I do really like it, but my mind is screaming for a double border on the little squares quilt- the black little stripe vertical floral followed by black. I think it would really make those fabrics pop. Anyway you do beautiful work and I do like both quilts. Totally agree with you that I am not a massive fan of Pat Sloanes fabric choices, and fabric choice is everything. Ya gotta like the fabric- which is, why I tend to be super picky with the quilts I do work on. You work on so many….sooner or later you will end up making a quilt that you like less than the others. You have made so many lovely quilts…
Ruth, so glad that you are able to make that doll work. Hope that you are able to complete the mosaic makeup bag and that its to your satisfaction. Love that you are putting together the next yarns that you will need, so you are sure to be all lined up for your next project. Much easier than having to run out and get more yarn or have to order more. Your winter quarters sound so comfy and cozy!!! Nothing like a wood burner for heat and staying snug and warm.
Monday???is that really tomorrow??? Got some errands to run tomorrow and some straightening up.
Sleep well Ginny

Those exotic cooking shows are why I LOVE my taste of home web site and magazine. 99% of the ingredients are what you can find in a normal supermarket and are not some wackadoo spice that costs $20 for a tiny jar that you will only use once for a dish you end up disliking.
