This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it.

Hello Everyone I was really thinking about not starting a thread for April, but I hope that the thread will be visited and posted in to help support those of us trying to lose a lot of weight. I've been so off track and discouraged. But I'm still not ready to totally give up on losing weight, so I started the thread. I also decided today to start tracking again, even though I'm not really trying to lose weight right now. It's so easy to fool myself that I'm not doing that badly, but I think that seeing in writing (I like to track with pen and paper) will make me realize how badly I am doing at eating. I will say that I still try to have fruits, vegetables and dairy every day - but it's all the junk I've been eating that is really bad. So hopefully tracking will help. I've also not done any exercise for probably several months, so I hope that I can start back walking even if it's only for 5-10 minutes a day until I get back to doing more. I hope some of you will check in and let us know how you are doing and that everyone has a good month

Good morning
Cj59, I’m glad you decided to start an April thread. It’s a constant challenge with losing weight. I need to be better about checking in and also dealing with my stuff.
I’m still dealing with my knee issues.
Waving to all

Hi sunrose - I'm happy to hear from you, but sorry you are still having knee issues. I hope you can get some relief from them soon. Please take care of yourself I only lasted 2 days tracking and stopped again It's really tough to do anything when I'm completely not in the mindset to work on losing weight. I know from all my past times losing weight that you really have to put your mind into and be full on committed and I'm just not. It makes me sad because the longer I go on the worse damage I'm doing to my health. Hopefully we can all support each other in this thread. Hope anyone check in is doing well and that you'll post if you want

Good morning
Cj59, hey two days tracking is a good start. Try for a couple more and I will too.
I have pt this morning. Hurting wondering if it is the weather? Anyway not giving up on my health but definitely need to get my act together.

Ch59, I tried tracking yesterday. I tend to ignore some things 😳

Hi sunrose - I hope the PT went well and you can start feeling better I just don't feel like tracking right now, but I know it's helpful. Hope you have a good weekend. I was out today doing some things, including walking a bit, and realized that it was a bit harder for me to do since I'd lost weight last year. It's always some realization like this that can usually get me back in the right mode. I hope it will work this time. Hope everyone checking in is doing well.

Good morning
Cj59, I can totally relate to not wanting to track. It’s my biggest hang up.
Hurting this morning. I know if I got some of this weight off it would help.
Happy Saturday

Good Afternoon sunrose - I'm sorry to hear that you are still hurting, sure hope you can get some relief soon. I also have some minor aches and pains, and health related issues, that I know would improve if I lost weight too. You'd think it would motivate us, wouldn't you?

Good morning
Cj59, yes! You would think the discomfort would motivate us. Not sure if I mentioned it here but I was told my knees have arthritis. So I’m gonna look up foods that help with that doesn’t hurt to try.

Hi sunrose - I hope you can find some foods that will help with the arthritis.
I've often read that even losing 10 pounds will help with knee pain and I found that to be true for myself. I hope we can both get motivated to lose some weight.

Good morning
Cj59, I tried search but kept taking me in a direction I didn’t want to go. I just want a simple list. Yes I heard that too. 10 pounds is really not that much to lose.
