Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today, having nice weather and enjoying the weekend It's sunny and 80 degrees here, I wish it would stay in the 80s, but it looks like we're getting 90 degree weather this coming week. I pulled all my blue fabric scraps and picked out which ones I want to use for my monthly blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge and I hope I can get those done before Wednesday. That will help me to free up time to work on the new quilt alongs, and existing ones, in June. I hope you all are getting to do some crafting too. Take care!

Quiet day here too. I did crochet a little this morning but ran out of the yarn I was using and was too lazy to go upstairs and get another. Then I spent a long time on youtube looking at recipes for ideas of things to make for company.
CJ it's going to be in 90's here next week so they claim. we'll see what actually happens. It's great that you got the blue fabrics together so that you can make those blocks and be able to do the QAL's that you want to do.

Good evening and Happy Sunday, CJ- I am in for hot weather here also- which will probably keep me inside quite a bit. Glad you got your blue scraps organized and ready for the monthly challenge. Are you all set for the other quilt alongs and projects you want to work on next month? Hard to believe its almost June.
Ruth, well I am glad you find sweaters easy. I tried to make one once, and well maybe just did not have enough time to organize myself and stick with it. I know I lost track of what I wanted to do and forgot where I was in the pattern and then gave up. Thanks for the heads up on the cat afghan pattern. I was considering it for an adult,, but not think that perhaps I am best off just finding a nice quilt panel and using that as the start of an easy quilt. And Ruth, how sweet of you to consider making a meal for all of us…you said you were looking for recipes for company. Ha ha ha
Phyl- I am sure that your home is just as neat as the rest of ours! I totally agree with the discussion that being too neat/clean is almost psychotic. Its much more fun to quilt.
Busy day. I had church this am and had to get there extra early to practice as I was playing with the praise team. Then of course the service- after ward I took my neighbor (who attends church with me) to Cracker Barrel for lunch. (She is widowed also and does not drive far, today is her birthday). She has never been to CB before, and I think really enjoyed it. Stopped in BJs on the way home (mostly for diapers for DGS#3) and then came home. I did a little bit of housework - which I try not to do on Sundays. There is always tomorrow for that. Not sure where these 3 days went, but I am looking forward to a quiet day tomorrow.

Yes, Ginny. I'm going to make a feast for all of you. I'll get with you sometime to set up a date and time There really are a lot of great crochet patterns for blankets and some work up really fast t I know that your friend will love a quilt you make for her. People think that those that live in Florida don't need blankets but at times it gets really cold there plus there's air conditioning to contend with and sometimes people can get too cold in their own homes before the readjusted a/c kicks in.Plus a nice quilt is so decorative and adds a great deal of beauty to a home. It was so nice of you to take your friend for lunch on her birthday. I think I was at a Cracker Barrel once but don't remember much about it or what I had to eat. It was quite awhile ago.
