It depends on the staff member. I have some who remember every time I weigh in to ask, and some that I have to remind each month. Hi, Luanne. Where you been hiding? Hope you’re doig well.

Every one of our receptionists is at least at goal and mostly lower. One or two of the leaders in our center, I might challenge as being at goal weight.

3 years ago,my WW leader was put on probation for gaining weight. Besides being snarky, she tried telling me I could get a voucher only once every 8 weeks. I showed her the voucher which clearly says we can get a new voucher every month. We have another leader now who is really great. I'm Lifetime and weigh in once a month. The reception always reaches for a new voucher after I weigh in. I've got vouchers to take me through 2019.

I have really mixed feelings about staff not having to be in the HWR anymore, that was the one reason I didn't stop 10 pounds earlier, so I could work for WW's. But, I get that we are *beyond the scale* these days.
I would just want to know that the path I was seeking (and maybe that path isn't supposed to be losing weight anymore???) had been achieved by the people leading me. But, I'm sure I'm just being 👵🏻

I guess beyond the scale depends on the meeting. I visited one today where pretty much everyone was at or below goal (very slim crowd). A few mentioned having their daily points lowered to below the blue dot zone. Many including the leader were doing Simply Filling. It was suggested I try Simply Filing. Think I'll give it a whirl. Last time I did it was when I had surgery and I lost huge that week, plus it was nice not to constantly think about food.

Interesting comment about not having to think about food when doing Simply Filling. I've never tried it. Even during the years when I was on staff and we were supposed to try all new programs, I never did. Never did Core either. To me it would have required too much thinking about food. It just never worked for my lifestyle.

Even during the years when I was on staff and we were supposed to try all new programs, I never did. Never did Core either. To me it would have required too much thinking about food. It just never worked for my lifestyle. I tried Simply Filling, along with Smart Start, several times before I could make it work for me. The keys I found to make it work for me were: 1. Not having to count doesn’t mean not having to control amounts. When I do SF I have to stick to a serving size (i.e., one serving of a recipe, or one serving of cheese, or whatever) and evaluate hunger after 20 minutes before determining I need more; then usually only adding another 1/2 serving of whatever if I’m still hungry. 2. I had to get my head away from deprivation thinking—“I can’t have this; I can’t have that; WHAAA!” Instead, I had to turn it into a game of figuring out what I could make out of available ingredients that had no countable foods. Once I did that, I found I actually could follow SFT fairly well. But, as you say luanne, it doesn’t fit everyone’s lifestyle. For me it made eating out extremely difficult unless I want to a restaurant that served American breakfasts or lots of meat (like a steakhouse). I can configure breakfast with eggs, ham, fruit and black coffee very easily for zero points. And steak, potatoe and vegetables are an easy lunchy or dinner. I just tracked down the current SFT list on the WW site and am surprised to see it has changed again; now evaporated fat-free milk and fat-free half and half have been removed. That would make it more difficult for me to follow for sure.

zazzles, one of my biggest problems with Core/Simply Filling is that I don't do the planning/cooking of most meals, dh does. He is very supportive, but I'm not sure how excited he'd be to convert to Simply Filling.

I do most of the meal planning, so that's not an issue. The issue is the almond milk and various high protein and artificially sweetened substitutes that made points work that I have sitting around now. I also stopped doing fat free dairy except for yogurt. Yes I can work them in, but I have 28 weeklies. Averaging 4 per day will be tricky. That and having to carry lunch with me. It won't be as easy to run into a fast food place unless it's steamed Chinese food.
I've been trying to accommodate my family's eating habits into my diet to my detriment. Not working to well, so I need an overhaul.

LOL…a husband who cooks for you is a rare thing; I wouldn’t rock that boat either!

I panicked when the leader said try SF because I was at a plateau. I feel that I got overweight cause I really did not know when to stop. Did not pay attention when I was getting ful,I'd stuff myself. And my dh cooks also although he sometimes gets carried away with his embellishments..he can flip a12 egg omelet!

I think that's the main thing that scares people out of it (aside from less flexibility), knowing when to stop eating. I plan on still weighing, measuring, and journaling. I think this will be my new start for the new year, since there will be allegedly a more detailed seperate sheet for Simply Filling.

When I first joined WW back in 1974 or 1975, I was issued (forced to buy ) a little postage scale to weigh my food on. At the new member orientation, the Marine drill sergeant (aka the Leader) told me I would have to weigh and measure my food using the postage scale and measuring cups and measuring spoons. Not only that, I would have to write down what I ate. How insane! Was she out of her mind? How unnatural! But you know what? I did it, and got good at it. To the point that now it's second nature.
Just like weighing, measuring, and tracking, determining fullness and when to stop eating is a skill that can be developed.

I liked SFT on Points Plus, but found it difficult on Smart Points due to my weeklies dropping down to 21. When I switched to SFT, I had been at a plateau for quite some time. After switching to SFT, I started to lose weight. I also made a game out of seeing how I could adapt meals to make them all SFT. I even was able to make Thanksgiving almost completely SFT with the exception of the dark meat turkey and the fat free evaporated milk I used to make pumpkin custard. I was able to go out to eat and make the adjustments. Not sure if the waitress/waiters and cook appreciated my requests or not. I also did similar to what Zazzles in that I ate a serving and then waited to see if I was still hungry before eating anymore. I also would stop partway in the meal to check to see if I was still hungry or not.
I recommend giving SFT a try. I plan on going back to it once I can get myself back on track, though I will probably use Points Plus instead of Smart Points. I have been off program on and off for about a year and really need to get refocused.
