Great endorsement of SFT.

I was not a fan of SFT when I was on it, early in maintenance...there were definitely not enough weekly points for me, LOL, and of course, now there are less.
But, as I have learned to stay consistently on program, my appetite has adjusted and I do know when I have had enough; doesn't mean I can't still keep going, but since I hate the feeling of being over-full now, it has stopped my over-eating.
It just takes time and willingness.

I usually have to ask for my voucher each month. I did have a little bit of a disagreement with the receptionist for awhile in that she didn't want to give me a voucher for this month if I got one last month since the vouchers give you 8 weeks. I think she felt it was "bad" to get way ahead on free etools because then you wouldn't be motivated to stay within the goal range. I sort of understand. Still, I like having a bunch of vouchers and adding them in so I am months ahead and don't worry about it. I finally read her the rule which said I was entitled to a voucher every month and she stopped trying to talk me out of it. I know she meant well, but I still wanted the monthly voucher.

I was working for WW's when the free vouchers came into being, and to say we were poorly trained on them is an understatement. The idea for the 8 weeks was that you could way at the beginning of one month, and the end of the next and you would always stay current. It was a good idea, but I'm sure WW's has really regretted the system. I only had to lay on the floor once and drum my heels to get my voucher; until Connect, most staff didn't have a clue about online, so I think they were surprised someone wanted one. I'm not shy about asking at all. When they change the policy on the back of the vouchers I'll be glad I'm so far ahead.

I have free etools until January 2022. I've gotten a voucher every month since they started issuing them. I always have to ask for my voucher and I have no problem doing that.
Having free etools so far in to the future doesn't affect my motivation to maintain in any kind of negative way. The challenge for me is in qualifying for it each month and, then adding another 2 months to my time. In fact, I don't even use etools or track on WW any more. I've been using MFP since last spring. When WW ends Smart Points, which I'm sure they'll do some day, then I'll check out the new program and hopefully will go back to using etools.

The idea for the 8 weeks was that you could way at the beginning of one month, and the end of the next and you would always stay current. Yes, I think the 8 weeks makes sense for that reason. I always weigh in every month but I don't always weigh in at the same week of every month. So, sometimes it is where I weigh in at the start of one month and late the next. So, it is logical to allow the voucher to be good for 8 weeks. Of course, I really think that having to manually go in and input a voucher is tedious and there ought to be a way to electronically just give us the voucher and apply it whenever we weigh in....

On the other hand, part of the excitement for me about the vouchers is in actually getting the card in my hand, scratching off the silver tab to find my code, manually entering that code, and then seeing my account extend two months ahead. It makes it more real for me. But I'm old school - still into hard copies of most things, LOL!

Kitty I'm not quite as old school as susan092907 , I love my technology, but after remembering a period of time that the vouchers wouldn't enter, I don't want to rock the boat, LOL.
