One more update for the "weirdness" of sweet syndrome. Water makes my skin flake. I can use Cetaphil Face and Body Wipes to give myself a "bath" and I can wash my hair, but if I try to use just water (like rinsing my hands) the skin gets really dry and flaky. Seems the sweet syndrome destroyed the natural moisture barrier on my skin. Doc printed an article for me, says this is typical and can take months to repair, so just give it time. Using 2 different moisturizers (aloe vesta and medline Remedy Skin Repair Cream) to help it restore, but for the time being I can't bathe. Washing dishes twice and my palms are peeling.

Are there any oil-based body cleansers that can be used in the shower? I feel like Neutrogena used to make one.

Washing dishes twice and my palms are peeling. Ow. I have eczema and have to use rubber gloves to wash dishes. Hope this does resolve sooner than later.

finreporter, right now, the doctor only trusts cetaphil until my skin is "healed". I mean, it's fine and not drying, I just really want a hot shower lol
