I slept late this morning so I have had a very lazy Saturday. I was going to bring DD home this afternoon but that doesn't work out for her care provider so I will probably bring her home on Sunday. I don't have anything planned for today so I will probably listen to an audio book and work on my b/blanket. Sounds like a very exciting day.
Ruth, I think there I still a Spiegel catalogue. I did a search and they are still around and I think you can still get a catalogue.
cj, I have those days when I don't want to do any crafting. I hope you have a restful day doing whatever you feel like doing.
Ginny, I hope you have found a cool spot where you can relax.. The temp. here today will be about 89. I am hoping it cools down again.
Now I am going to listen to my book and work on my b/blanket. I am thinking about what colors I would like to use for my next project. Have a wonderful Saturday.

CJ and Meg, good to see you.
CJ, there are days when I don't feel like crafting either. Sometimes we just have to take a break and do something else
Meg, days like that are nice where you can just sit, listen to an audio book and knit or crochet or whatever strikes you.
I've made one a half of a bracelet today. I still have to do the part that goes over the beads. I found my clasps that I can put on them.So I'm going to go now and finish that one or else work on my computer bookmarks because I want to put all the pattern sites for the things I want to make soon in a folder of their own. I hate having to go and search each time.

Going to be short as I am tired....we went to a family birthday party today- one for some cousins of Dh that he has not seen in a long time. Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon/ evening.
Ruth, what a lovely compliment on the scarf you made!!
CJ- rest up.....you will be back to crafting when the time is right! You do get a lot of crafting time in, so a break is a nice change. I garden, not well, and its not my favorite thing.
MEg, glad you got to knit wits. Hope it works out that you can see Dd tomorrow...enjoy your book.
got a few minutes of embroidery in while traveling today. See ya tomorrow! Ginny

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday I'm still feeling low energy, but I might do something crafty later, I'll have to see. I got in all my walking earlier so for once I might sit on the couch this afternoon and watch TV. It's nice to do that in the daylight, since it's usually evening before I sit down for awhile. There is a show in PBS that I like to watch - The Great British Baking Show - and it comes on this afternoon. I might watch it and do some hand quilting. Take care everyone!

Happy Sunday everyone. I lost another post.
I am home alone this morning so it is quiet here. I was supposed to have DD home yesterday and that didn't work out. I am supposed to have her home this afternoon but I don't think that is going to work out either because neither DD or myself have very good balance and if one of fell we would be in a mess. I like to have someone in the house with us.
I read my audio book last evening and worked on my b/blanket. It should be finished soon. I stayed up into the wee small hours reading and working n my b/blanket. I will finish my book later today and I will work on my b/blanket and that will take care of my afternoon.
cj, A change of pace will be good for you. I hope you find a good movie to watch. I have watched the Great British Baking Show but not recently. I like watching the British shows but I don't watch very much TV.
I will try and check back later.

Good morning CJ, Meg, Ginny, and Phyl. I hope too that everyone is having a good day. Meg, it does sound like you're having a relaxing day and I think you're smart to not have Janet at home if there's no one else there to help in case of emergency. Congrats on getting the afgan and now the baby blanket completed or in the case of the baby blanket, nearly finished. Have you decided what you're going to work on next?
CJ. I never really think to turn over to the local channels. It's not provided on my satellite so I have to manually change and just never really do so I've never seen the British Baking show. I know there's one PBS that has all or mostly all cooking shows...so is this British Baking show an actual baking program? If you do get to some hand quilting I hope you enjoy it. It just becomes work if we're not enjoying what we're doing
This morning I've started dh's knitted hat to go with the scarf that's nearly done. One the scarf I'm just waiting for him to try it but he's been putting muscle rub cream on his neck and shoulders so he hasn't tried it yet and he wants it just long enough to go around his neck...not too long so I'll wait to bind off until after he does try it.
Last evening I finished the bracelet I was working on yesterday except I haven't put the clasps on either of them yet. My youngest grandaughter wanted a crocheted necklace and I didn't want to make one thinking that it's a danger for a young child to have anything made with yarn around their neck because yarn is so strong and could strangle a child so yesterday it dawned on me that I can make it and put a magnetic clasp then if it gets pulled it will just come apart at the clasp.ON the bracelet, dh asked if I was keeping it for myself because he really likes it and thought I should use it so maybe I will. I'll make a couple more just like it to send to the grands or maybe even make some for my dd to sell with her rocks and mineral. She's planning on a sale during the time all the tourists will be here this summer for the eclipse and said If I did make things she would sell them for me.I'm not sure yet. I think I'd rather just spend the time making things for family and friends.
Well back to knitting.

Happy Sunday!
CJ- oh, please tell me! What is the Great British Baking show? Guess its good, eh? I have never seen it.....hope that you are getting your crafting momentum back. Do you have any classes planned for this week?
Meg, wise move not to have DD over unless you have someone to help. Sounds like you had a peaceful evening, crocheting and listening go a book! It's neat staying up late like that.
Ruth, using the magnetic clasp is an awesome idea to make the necklace safe! You come up with some great ideas. What style hat are you making for DH?
I got the squares counted and separated for Dd's quilt. Starting to work up a strategy to organize them into 9 patch squares.
Guess I'd better get some rest. Did not sleep well last night. See you in the am. Ginny

Ginny,it's great to see you I hope you get rested for tomorrow and the start of the new week. I'm just making a plain stockinette stitch pull on hat for dh. So on the circular needles it's just all knit no purls. Gets a little boring but it's something I can do and still watch tv or pick up at odd times or take with me to fill waiting time.Glad to hear you have the squares all ready for you to start the quilt for your dd. Do you do the actual quilting yourself or do you take it to have it done?
