Oh and for the start of spring we were supposed to have light snow showers. After it started snowing at about 5pm it came down heavily and we have at least 3 inches so far. I don't know if it's still snowing or not but it looked like it was going to be pretty steady

Ruth, Congrats on finishing the taxes! Big relief for sure. Crocheting after an episode like that seems to be a good reward. The trinity stitch baby afghan - well never heard of one of them and will have to check it out. The gingham afghan sounds so easy and pretty, never heard of a griddle stitch either! Were you able to get to sleep last night? Did you get much snow?
Speaking of sleep- I have been extra tired in the past week or so, blaming it on the time change. Heard on the news this am that tree pollen season is here, and I always suffer (fatigue and headaches) during it. I took a Claritin this am and voila!!! No more fatigue.

Hello - Hope you are both doing well today Ruth - Hope you slept better last night. I'm glad you were able to get your taxes done. Hope the snow finally stopped. Ginny - I think the pollen is getting bad here too, since I felt a bit stuffed up today. I didn't do any quilting today since I had to go out all morning. Hopefully I can get a few things done over the next few days. Take care

CJ- if it were me I would contact another dealership or the dealership you were just at- or even national offices for the brand car you are driving to see about getting the proper sticker to indicate that your car has gotten the updated software. As a customer they owe you this…and even another dealership (same brand car) should be able to provide you with the sticker. And I would lean hard on anyone who would listen. Of course the sticker can be mailed to you. Glad you heard from the new lawn service provider. I hope that he is able to give you excellent service, which might be able to make up for a slight inconvenience in billing options. Yes we do live in a sick world- which seems to get more and more strange every year. Perhaps you can time your trips to Joanns during less trafficked times. I suppose carrying pepper spray is an option. But for some reason, I doubt that someone shopping at a fabric store would be a target- I can see being at a grocery store being a much greater risk. And I go back to that calling the police or 911 would be a really good idea. Ruth, I hope you had a good day!! Were you able to complete your phone calls the other day? Its finished. I will post a picture…and I am very happy with the results. I have to figure out how to quilt it, I can quilt swirls, squiggles, diagonals or stitch in the ditch. Guess I will stare at it for a few days before I make that decision.

CJ,just remember that none of this was your fault. And I think you did the right thing in having your engine running and only opening the window a little crack. And I think you're smart in planning to avoid that shopping center in the future. Also in planning that if you do have to go there you will go when it's busy so that there will be less likelihood of you to be the one picked to target and also more people to actually help if you need it. I used to have one of those steering wheel locks years ago when I lived in NY and worked in a not so great area in the inner city and on the night shift.Lots of time for someone to steal my car or hide there to attack me or carjack me in the morning.Since I was in charge, I very often didn't get out of work at the same time the rest of the staff got off.
I did type out a post earlier today on my other laptop but I guess I forgot to click the "prove you are human" and I am not a robot thing so it didn't go thru but what I said was that I'm glad that you, Ginny, got relief with Claritin. Allergies are not fun.
I also mentioned that I realized the trinity stitch was going to take forever because of having to crochet into the chain stitches on top of the clusters even though I did make them loose. It was hard to get my crochet hook in so was slow and also hurt my wrist. I tried a couple other stitches and decided on the "double crunch" stitch but now I've put that one to the side also and started a pattern called the Berry Stitch Windowpane pattern by Daisy Farm Crafts. She made it for her long awaited grandson. Her daughter fought infertility for 10 years before it was successful. She made this blanket as the family heirloom blessing blanket.Blessing is a ceremony of the LDS church which involves a close relative blessing the baby and adding the baby's name, parents, etc to the LDS geneology records. It's a pretty blanket which I've planned to make since she showed it in her group on FB..
We got probably 3 inches of snow total and had a nice sunny day today. Tomorrow is to be warmer but still under the average temp for this time of year in this area.

Ruth, I am glad you got only 3 inches of snow, which hopefully will melt without needing you or Dh to clear it. Yes, some crochet stitches are rough on the wrist. I will have to check out the berry stitch windowpane pattern. Sounds pretty and with a nice story behind it. That is a nice tradition of the LDS church when adding a baby’s name to a geneology. Of course a name is just a name… We know you are human!!! Don’t you just love those absurd things they put us through to allow us to prove we are not bots.
CJ- I did re read my post to see if I mentioned anything that might have compromised you - think my post was ok. Please PM me or email me if I need to edit it.
So glad its Friday.

Hello, hope you are doing well today and having nice weather. It's in the 50s with rain today here. Ruth - Thanks I'm glad you've found a good stitch to use instead of the one that hurt your wrist. Hope the warmer weather melts the snow. Ginny - What you said was fine Hope you get to relax this weekend I finished making the last block for the Holiday Hoopla quilt along this morning. I also made all the half square triangles for the border, just need to trim them. I think these are the largest half square triangles I've ever made - 8.5 inches. I hope to get this quilt top put together by the end of the weekend, so I can be finished with this quilt along. Hope you both get to do some crafting this weekend too. Take care

Somehow I didn't see those posts up above including the picture of Ginny's wonderful quilt. You did a good job, Ginny, As far as quilting it goes I do like the various selections but wouldn't be able to help much in your decision.
CJ, Ginny had a great suggestion on getting a sticker. Whatever feature was uploaded I wonder if my car has that option. No one ever mentioned anything like that to me. Is it some kind of anti theft app?
Spent a bit of time today searching for something dh ordered on line and couldn't find today. He thought that maybe we never received it but I finally found it. It was a container of cumin. He orders spices online and recently also ordered cinnamon but I saw where that was. Cumin somehow got behind some canned good in our improvised pantry.
Now I'm going to do some more vacuuming as dh got the vacuum cleaner unplugged for me.

There was something on the news just the other day about two automobile manufacturers whose cars have ended up being very high on the most stolen cars because of a glitch. The news broadcast (a national broadcast, so I figure if it went on national news that its common knowledge by those inclined to do harm.) mentioned that modifying those vehicles was pretty easy to s eliminate the glitch. So it’s not really an anti theft app as much as it is a modification- and it should be fixed pretty easily. As I remember there were 2 manufacturers impacted.
Ruth, glad you found the cumin! I never knew what cumin was 20 years ago, and now with Mexican food being popular, I use it a fair amount.
CJ - glad to hear that you finished the last holiday hoopla block!! Yay. Looking forward to seeing it when it is all done.
The more I think about it, think I will probably quilt the fabric cafe on the diagonal in both directions. Just a thought.
I drove this afternoon (they were short drivers and they begged). Wow these kids were awful. Their regular driver ought to be ashamed of them as they acted like animals. Thankfully they were all home pretty quickly so I did not have to deal with them for too long.
Off to embroider G

Hello - Hope everyone is doing well today. It was a rainy day here. I finished piecing together the Holiday Hoopla quilt top this morning, it went together pretty quickly. This quilt is definitely colorful Lots of different fabrics were used in it, but they were all from my stash, so that was nice. I still have the basket blocks to make for this month and hope to get them done next. I've been throwing all the scraps from the last several projects into a pile, so I'm going to have to go through that and get them sorted. Hope you get to do some crafting today. Take care
