Brenda I am hopeful. my birthday was April 20. I have a goal of losing weight by my 70th birthday next year. I am going to get a lidocaine infusion next month. I am eating brown rice and beans I fam hoping the lidocaine infusion will allow me to walk outside again because I have such pain. in mellower back. It helps nerve pain and I am hoping that will help me. It is 2 hours . I am hoping I can have it every other week. I am excited we are getting electric buses. And my goal is to walk to the bus station near me. And also to walk to my Credit Union which is doable although crossing at a busy intersection even with a light is scary. Basically I can not walk outside and back from Target or my Credition Union. That is because my back just hurts so much. Also my knees. I am only going to school if DVR pays for it. I will appeal a denial. The bus station bus I could take goes directly to the school . That is amazing.

I can hardly wait till Whole Foods. moves maybe next summer nearer to me. That's were I get the frozen brown rice I plan to get each week. It is frozen pre-made . And I make it in my microwave rice cooker that allows me to cook brown rice in8 mminutes dry. I mix it with a can of black beans and I make it during the day.

Good morning! I didn't realize I've haven't checked in much recently! I will do better!
Amy, sounds like a fun birthday!
I couldn't get my act together for the past couple of days but hopefully I'm back on track today. I made it to the gym for the arm weights machine and for 20 minutes on the rowing machine. I'm getting faster on the TM but still get backaches after walking outdoors. Although it wasn't as bad the last time I walked at the canal. Baby steps!
I was worried about playing my bagpipes again but was pleasantly surprised to find it is pretty easy now! I guess I hadn't realized how bad my form had gotten, all hunched over and leaning on my right leg. Now I can stand up straight when and I play, and whaddayaknow, I can breathe! SO much easier to play the bagpipes when you can take deep breathes, lol.

Good morning! I'm actually working this morning, groan. But I did manage to get to the gym when they opened at 7am and did leg weight machines and 15 minutes of rowing. I'm hoping to get my haircut later today (guess I better call for an appointment!) but working added another complication for today.
Jeremy (my eldest son) and Kristina are getting married in 2 weeks and I want to have my hair looking somewhat presentable, lol. I haven't had a proper haircut since the pandemic started! I've just been trimming my bangs on my own. Yikes!
