Deb, so you said that your work health care goes away when you turn 65? I know you can delay paying for part B if your company offers enough coverage but if your plan at work goes away, you don't seem to have an option other than, as you know, getting Medicare, and paying for part B and a supplement.
I have excellent health care for both Jim and me through work and we have Tricare thru his Army service, but we still have to pay for Medicare part B to keep Tricare, which we will need once I quit working. So for now , each of us has to have approx 160$ a month taken out of our SS payment for Part B.
You are using your time wisely by checking on these things now.

I am not having a terrible week but today I will be mindful
I am quite excited about today because Jim and I are attending a Veteran's brunch at our grandkids' high school. Both of my sons are also Veterans and will be there too! Its the first time all 3 will be at an event like this, honoring veterans.

Mo, I hope you all had a nice time at the brunch! Thank you for the Medicare advice.
Mo, your week sounds similar to mine -not terrible food-wise although could be better. And I'm 3 for 3 going to the gym this week.

Good morning! I went to the gym this morning for leg weights and rowing! That's 4 for 4, woohoo! Ideally, I'll go everyday but sunday but mon thru fri would be excellent provided I'm active over the weekend -ideally with a long walk (with a little jogging) on saturday or sunday.
I had a lot of trouble posting this morning. I finally had to settle with a partial post, then going in and editing it to complete the post. Anyone else have problems?
Amy, what is Tricare?

oh deb I feel awful. my credit card keeps on being charged by I don't know who. I bought an electric rice maker in 5 easy payments from qvc . I looked for the cheapest I could get. I plan to buy brown ice and cook with vegetable and black beans. I like that and its cheap. I hope it comes soon. I have to keep the directions because Scott often gets rid of them not knowing.

Tricare is a supplement to members and their in the military to their medicare . it acts as a secondary payor to Medicare so that a supplement is not necessary to be bought for part B . part B is outpatient Medicare. And when Medicare was invented, somehow a compromise was built to allow outpatient at only 80 percent to be paid by medicare. So Mo as a wife of Jim can use ttricare too to supplest that 80 percent. I also can use my medicaid to supplement the Medicare for what it does not pay . I believe we need to end managed care which takes a lot of money out of Medicar4e so that we can make Me4dicare more complete for everyone.

Amy, you can call that credit (number should be on it) and tell them! They'll have to cancel it and send you a new one but you won't liable for those unapproved charges!

Good morning! Finally seeing some movement on the scale in the correct (left) direction. I was going to go to the gym this morning for a spinning class and leg weights but decided my time would be better spent working on my lawn and picking off one more room inside. If I tried to declutter 1 room a week (not counting basement, I'm not insane, lol!) I can have my house organized except the basement by Christmas!

I've got the best son! I put out a "general distress call" for help with my lawn and Timmy came over, bringing two new rakes and a leaf blower. We had the lawn taken care of in just an hour! Woohooooo!!

Good morning! Back at the gym this morning for rowing and arm weight machines. It was tempting to stay in bed especially when I saw the frost on the car windows but I did go, yay!

I returned a computer to qvc at th nd of October. But the card side does not know the so I've had to make payments. I finally printed the item which says returned nd mailed to the card side in Texas. I will wait a week and then I have to dispute that computer was returned but they do no know it QVC does but never tells the card. I would have money then to pay for almost a year at the gym if I got the money I had spent toward the computer . or at least have money for myself to save.
