Kathie, to add a picture to your message it has to be uploaded to some place on the internet, like facebook, so you can copy the link. I test it by copying the link then opening it in another window to make sure it works before I put the link in here.
Jenny, you were really quiet. I never heard a thing and Bearly did not bark.
Boy this antibio has ruined my coffee. Well, everything really.
I will check back in later Have a great day. KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS LUCY

Good morning!
Hope you feel better today, Lucy!
So sorry to hear of Debbie Reynolds death. I loved the movie The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
I'm not moving very fast today. Must cook 5 lbs. of ground beef that was purchased several days ago. Will pick up around the house too. DH has gone to the farm to check things out.
BBL to see how everyone is doing!
Molly

1778 โ American Revolutionary War: Three thousand British soldiers under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Archibald Campbell capture Savannah, Georgia.
1835 โ The Treaty of New Echota is signed, ceding all the lands of the Cherokee east of the Mississippi River to the United States.
1845 โ In accordance with International Boundary delimitation, the United States annexes the Republic of Texas, following the manifest destiny doctrine. The Republic of Texas, which had been independent since the Texas Revolution of 1836, is thereupon admitted as the 28th U.S. state. Hooray for Texas.
1937 โ The Irish Free State is replaced by a new state called Ireland with the adoption of a new constitution.
1949 โ KC2XAK of Bridgeport, Connecticut becomes the first Ultra high frequency (UHF) television station to operate a daily schedule. I remember the first TV I saw. A cousin had bought one in 1950 or 51.

Molly to insert a picture on this page it has to be uploaded to the internet like facebook. Click on that picture and open it in another window the copy the location. I double check it by then opening it from that saved link in another window.
Next click on the picture icon above, 3rd from left. Get rid of the http// or you will have 2 and it won't work. Paste the link. Don't forget to click insert image.
To change your avatar to a picture go to edit and it will say something like add a picture. Can't member. Then you can upload from your computer or use a link.

Good Morning!
We expect to have a quiet day today. Yesterday DH fell coming out of the bank, but he didn't do any serious damage to himself. Very lucky. Today he will try to finish the errands he set out to do yesterday. So yesterday we had several kids stop by to check on him.
Your memory sounds so nice and comfy, Doris. I always set up a jigsaw puzzle on New Year's Eve. Keeps me occupied while the football is on. I can only watch it so long. I used to make a bunch of chex mix to nibble all evening, but I don't think I haven't done that in a while. I might go look for a bag of ready-made mix. Hmmm
Our DGD2's birthday is today. She is 12! We will have her for a while tomorrow, and we asked her what she wanted to do -- she wants to have her cousin come over and us all to play board games! So I'll try to set that up today.
Have a really good day, friends.
Diane

Good Morning Lucy and Holly Jollies,
This morning it was 30ยบ (feels like 19ยบ) with a few clouds and going up to 44ยบ and windy and sunny with winds WNW 10-15 mph.
Iโm posting a bit later than usual today because I enjoyed lounging in my cozy bed for a while and I woke up with my arthritis having a flare up so I was aching. Iโll get some relief once my Tramadol starts working. All three girls are still asleep and enjoying the last few days of Christmas break.
King and MJ took Rachael to the mall in Lincoln so she could buy something with a gift card she got for Christmas. I was surprised that no one else wanted to go and use theirs.
For supper last night MJ made chicken stir fry and used angel hair pasta instead of rice for a change and it was delicious.
Another Japan memory: I remember when we were at Lake Nojiri in the summer and we would have an occasional all day rain. There would be no swimming or boating or outdoor play so it would be a good day to get out a jigsaw puzzle and make popcorn in the fireplace. We had a popcorn popper on a long metal handle that could be held over an open fire. I still remember how good the house smelled for the rest of the day and evening until we could open windows again. We were always glad if it was just a one day rain but it was a lot of fun too. More tomorrow.

Pictures will also work from a search like free New Year graphics or whatever. Be sure follow all of the steps and SAVE at bottom. I cannot insert a picture from my PC but FB will take your personal pictures.

Okay, I'm trying this again. The first time I did it, it worked; but I've been unable to get it to work since. This time, when I copied the address, I had to log into Facebook again, then copy the address again. If it works, I'm not sure I can follow the path -- again! LOL! This was my Christmas table last year (2015). Yea! It worked! Thanks for all your help!

Waylon had his vet appointment this morning - routine exam and shots, including the flu shot. Only thing the vet found was that he needs his teeth cleaned, which I was going to ask her about. His dental appointment is January 20th and she is going to deep clean his ears while he is under for the teeth cleaning. Nice thing is she will pick him up and bring him back home. I am getting a head start on organizing my papers. I do most of my bill pay and banking on line, so that is a few less papers to organize. Just so tired of so much junk mail.

Just one more time to be sure!
This is a photo of the flags on the University of Missouri Quad. Sorry it's so big! I cropped the first one before inserting it.
