Hi Christine,
WW previously extended your free Lifetime Membership through 2/29/24. We noticed that there isn't a location near you, so we’re extending your free Lifetime member benefits an additional 6 months through August 31, 2024!
What this means:
You'll have free, unlimited access to Workshops and the WeightWatchers app through August 31, 2024. Find a virtual workshop here.
The extension was automatically added to your account yesterday. No need to contact us! You can locate your updated billing date under Account Settings on WW.com.
While your account has a current complimentary extension, starting Wednesday, May 1, 2024, there will be a modification to our weigh-in policy for maintaining free Lifetime Benefits. Instead of the previous requirement of weighing in once each calendar month, Lifetime members will now be required to weigh in once every monthly billing cycle. Again, no impact to you as your account is extended through August 31, 2024.
Kind regards,
Your WeightWatchers Team
This was sent to a WW member from my cancelled meeting.

I guess they're still not saying anything about what they'll do (or not do) for LT members who have no meeting to go to after 8/31/24.

I don't attend meetings as too far and nope not paying them to use their site. Guess I'll simply break ties. I tried to email them and it came back as a not monitored email . 🙃

I think they haven't done emails in a long time, call the 800# or go to chat 🙂

This was the email I received (I do have a meeting that is relatively close to me):
Hi Janeen,
Starting Wednesday, May 1, 2024, there will be a modification to our weigh-in policy for maintaining free Lifetime Benefits. Instead of the previous requirement of weighing in once each calendar month, Lifetime members will now be required to weigh in once every monthly billing cycle. You can locate your billing date under Account Settings on WW.com.
This adjustment gives you more flexibility, allowing you to weigh in at any point during the billing cycle to maintain your Lifetime benefits.
If you miss a weigh in or weigh in more than 2 lbs over your goal weight, you’ll be charged the Lifetime discounted monthly fee of $14.95 the next month.
We understand how important community and accountability are in supporting your weight health journey. You can find Workshop times here. Our coaches are looking forward to seeing you soon.
Kind regards, Your WeightWatchers Team
It is no change for me since was already billed at the first of the month (when I am over goal like I have been).

neen, I got this email but it doesn't see that helpful. What am I missing? I checked my account and it said my next billing date is February 1. DH's next billing date is shown as February 2. That doesn't seem to add much time. That is, the billing cycle and the calendar month seem almost identical.

My billing date changed from February 29, 2024 to March 1, 2024. I guess we need to check billing dates every single day to make sure it is not changed. Kitty that is odd to have billing dates of February 1 and February 2. I did see on Connect that someone else has a billing date of February 1. That would mean you would have to weigh in by January 31. This is going to be a mess.

Does anyone know how far is “too far”? I have to drive 20 miles to another state for my studio workshop. I’d like to go weekly but once a month is difficult enough. It went from Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday to Tuesdays only.

ginnpr, It appears for May your weigh in period would be from May 1st to the day before your billing that. After May it will be the 29th of a month through the 28th of the following month. This is with me assuming the weigh in period starts on your billing date. Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

luvvinlife, I don't know what is considered too far. It would be best to call or do chat to find out if you are covered by "too far."

I just got off from a virtual chat and she cancelled my lifetime membership. There are no close by meetings and I had an extension till last month. I am not paying the monthly fee for WW. Be prepare to start paying when extension is up. I asked if I could do virtual meetings and weigh in on app monthly. She said no, you need to weigh in once monthly. 70 miles round trip for me to weigh in and that won’t work. I would even need to take a day off from work due to meeting during the week. She cancelled my membership and I did not even tell her for sure I was canceling. I have been with weight watchers lifetime since 2002. Always weighed in monthly until they closed our meeting place. So disappointed in WW.

Stacymarie - I'm so sorry this happened to you, and especially sorry that she went ahead and cancelled your membership before you told her you were cancelling. WW is just not the company that it used to be, and I'm sure we'll see more of this.
For your information = the Healthi app has old WW programs and it's low cost. I use it sometimes - when I do, I follow the old Points Plus program, that's called Carb Conscious on Healthi. These boards are a great place for support. It's not quite the same as having a meeting to go to every month, but hopefully you can transition to managing your weight without WW. I've learned to do that, and I'm sure there are other people who have as well.
