This week I weighed and measured, kept the right food in the house and my trigger foods out of the house, and kept up with my online support groups. I am grateful my husband and I are still healthy.

Credit for tracking most of the week, for eating mostly healthfully, for mostly eating per hunger/satiation levels. Credit for finishing my 100 day journal about eating that way. Credit for exercising as much as I was able to.

Monday, 02/19 How is your relationship with the number on the scale? Do you understand that you have a weight range not a goal weight? Do you understand that other things besides gain of body fat can cause a gain on the scale?

I'm pretty accepting of my weight, but I do get a little worried if it goes up and get a little happy if it goes down. I understand that I have a weight range at goal but it's not a very big one. The biggest swing would probably be if I ate Chinese food. I understand that not all upswings are gain of body fat, but I keep an eye on the upswings in case they turn into fat gains.

My goals for the week are to keep weighing and measuring, bringing the right foods into the house, keep trigger food out of the house, and keep up with my online support groups. My me-time is my computer and reading time.

Scale number - I have an uneasy relationship with the scale. I’m reevaluating what my goal range should be - I do think of goal weight as a small range of maybe 3 lbs. I also understand that a gain can be caused by various things. But I’m very short and generally a small person. A gain of 2 lbs is really a lot for me, and when I’m able to lose weight it’s at a rate of a lb a month. It’s very difficult for me to figure out what’s really a gain or a loss or just maintenance fluctuations.
My plan for the week is to eat healthfully and per hunger/satiation levels. I’ll exercise as much as I’m able to.
Judy thanks for starting the Beck review on 2/23. I was just thinking that it’s probably about that time.

Wednesday, 02/21 Do you have any historical data that can inspire you to get back into the groove when you need to? Do you have such things as weight records, records of your measurements, journal entries, pictures, food tracker history to help motivate you?

I do think back on how "on fire" I was when I was losing weight and first maintaining. I miss that. I also remember the health problems I had when I was overweight/obese. That inspires me to not gain weight. I have few pictures of me when I was overweight/obese, but I don't look at them, although there is one in a desk drawer I run into now and then. I don't seek out the pictures from when I was at my heaviest because looking at them can depress me. I mostly think about what I can do now to be better at maintaining.

I think I have my WW weight trackers going back for many years. I don't have old food trackers, but I was thinking recently about what I used to eat and not eat when I was losing weight this time and then maintaining. I lost most of my weight this time on WW Momentum and got to my personal goal weight on Points Plus. Going back to Points Plus (Carb Conscious) on the Healthi app for a couple of weeks helped me to recapture some of that eating style.

susan092907, I liked Points Plus the best. Thought WW went downhill will Smart Points, and then Free Style. With Free Style I started tracking calories with My Fitness Pal. Now I've adjusted to zero-point food and am doing okay when I track.
